The Space

James and Tom welcome you to our lovingly restored red brick Victorian home in Phibsborough with all mod cons, luxurious surroundings and peaceful flower filled garden for your enjoyment. We are a short 15 minute walk to the centre of Dublin and all that this vibrant city has to offer. We are close to the Botanic Gardens and a short drive to the beautiful Phoenix Park, home to Dublin Zoo and roaming deer. Our home is fully equipped with all mod cons including WIFI, cable tv, power shower in our large (shared) luxury bathroom, feather filled pillows and duvets, nespresso coffee machine etc,

We are a gay couple who have been together for over 20 years and would be delighted to welcome you to stay in our comfortable and convenient home.

We would be happy to provide you with an extensive continental breakfast in our sunny breakfast room or on the patio listening to the gurgling fountain of our fish pond!

Our neighbourhood is a traditional area of Dublin where you can find all amenities in the locality including supermarket, pubs and most shops that any visitor would require. Because we are so close to the city centre and on a major bus and taxi route, the city is easily accessible for more fine dining and theatre options.

If you like the idea of staying in a real Victorian period home with working real fires and fireplaces, elegant cornicing and a delightful cottage style walled garden, this is the place for you.

    Response from James:

Delighted to hear it. Will definitely look you up if we are in your neck of the woods. Hope you have a wonderful time in Italy and thanks again for our night out. It was great to meet you both.

  • We genuinely enjoyed staying with James and Tom. They made us feel very welcome and took good care of us. They were also very helpful with any questions we had and provided us with great advice on where to go in Dublin. Their lovely house was cozy, beautifully renovated and nicely furnished. On top of this, we enjoyed the abundant breakfast very much. Definitely worth a stay!

  • We've had an amazing time in Dublin and with James and Tom. At the first moment, when we left the taxi, we've met James and already got a glass of wine. We had nice talks, and they gave us the opportunity to do whatever we want. In the morning we've got a delicious breakfast.

James and Tom are really amazing hosts, and actually Alice and I can't wait to go to Dublin again. We already recommended James and Tom to our friends!

  • James and Tom are the perfect hosts. We decided to stay with them due to their stellar previous reviews, and they didn't disappoint. From the very warm initial welcome, they couldn't have been more hospitable. The breakfast spread was quite something and they made us feel totally at home. Plus, they're great fun - they genuinely enjoy people coming to stay in their home. They must surely be top of the class in the AirBnB roll of honour.

  • Well, I probably won't be very original in saying that the location is very convenient, the house great, the room comfortable and cosy and breakfasts scrumptious. These are facts. Still these were Tom and James, absolutely great hosts, very helpful and warm-hearted, who made our Dublin experience so special. They provided us with some insider knowledge that even the Lonely Planet guide didn't have. :) Thanks again guys.

  • Tom and James were great hosts. Our room and the common, large bathroom were perfect. The whole house is comfortable and cozy furnished. The breakfast each morning was wonderfully prepared and more than adequate. From there to down-town is only 15 minutes by bus (bus station to walk 2 min). Our conclusion: If Bed & Breakfast in Dublin, Tom and James are your first choice!
    Thank you so much guys

  • My husband and I enjoyed a too brief stay with James and Tom. They were so warm and welcoming and truly wonderful company. The room is gorgeous - big, bright and sunny (yes, sun on last day). A lovely home that's been so tastefully restored. And did I mention the breakfast? Thank you for being such amazing Airbnb hosts. (We caught the double-decker bus into town and sat in the front seats up the top - €1.60 - much better than walking! Wish we'd had time to visit Glasnevin Cemetery.)

  • Amazing hosts! Very friendly and apartment is clean. A bit of a walk from the center but not that bad. Very highly recommend! Wonderful breakfast and conversation.

  • Our 2 nights by James & Tom were wonderful : we instantly felt home, the room is lovely and comfortable, the bathroom is huge, and the welcome genuinely warmhearted. Everything is perfectly clean. And the breakfast's reputation is well deserved.

We had great pleasure discussing with James & Tom. Spending some more time with them is a sufficient reason to make us want to come back to Dublin :)
    A delightful experience !

Tom and I are a gay couple, together for nearly 20 years and share our Victorian home with our cat Misty. We enjoy a relaxing home environment and enjoy good food and good conversation. Our tastes are diverse but we both enjoy music; Tom is a choral singer and used to play the trombone in a rock band whilst i am a Gilbert & Sullivan buff and enjoy all types of musical theatre and opera. We both enjoy the theatre, cinema and going to concerts. My particular passions are gardening and cooking whilst Tom would be more interested in spirtuality and self development. We both enjoy travelling and have recently done two successful home exchanges to Amsterdam and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
