Tara and Peter were very welcoming and helpful. Special mention to Peter who gave me a couple of website names that helped me in my apartment search in NYC. Of course Tara made those wonderful waffles. They have what they call Waffle Wednesdays. Who knows, they may have Falafel Fridays soon. The description of the place was quite accurate. Highly recommended!
The room was exactly as described, very clean and comfortable. I had a great time staying with Tara and Peter, they're both very relaxed and open-minded people. The communication from the host was second to none, from my 1st message to the day I leave their place.
Would highly recommend any solo travellers to check out their place, especially for those that are going to New York for the 1st time!
Tara and Peter are very calm, open-minded, respectul and really charming people. They really made me feel like at home, they always helped me with questions about the city (public transports, how to reach some places, etc) and they were always aware of everything I needed. Like friends!. Their house is a really nice, relaxing and confortable place and it was also really suitable for the purpose of my travel to NYC (visiting and working at the Hispanic Society, which is only a few minutes walking from there). The neighborhood is quite peaceful, and well connected with the subway. Apart from the HSA, the Columbia University is also nearby (three subway stops). Definitely, I would repeat, if I come back to NYC.
Tara and Peter were great! I stayed with them for a full month and they were nothing but helpful and friendly. The location is a three minute walk from the beautiful Riverside Park where you can go running, biking or just relax. The subway is just down the street giving you an easy access to all of New York! I highly recommend them to anyone who's looking for and an affordable, practical, and nice place to stay with great people in New York!
Tara and Peter are amazing people. They have an open mind, they are smart and they have an opinion in many different fields of interest. You can broaden your horizon while talking to them. I loved staying with them since I immediately felt that I was welcome. You get great hints to explore the City and I can highly recommend Tara's amazing baking skills! If you look for a place, where you feel the energy and power: here it is! :) Thank you so much for making my stay something special! I hope to see you someday soon - no matter where.
