The space

Peaceful lavender bedroom with single bed and your own private bathroom. A/C, Wi-Fi.

Welcome! Comfy bedroom with a calm vibe, despite being in busy NYC. We have a spacious 3 bedroom apartment with two bathrooms. You'll have one bedroom and your own bathroom.

There is a twin size bed with a very comfortable mattress. The room has A/C and Wi-Fi.

Breakfast is self-serve: toast, jam, cereal, coffee and many choices of tea. You are welcomed to use the kitchen for minor meal prep and fridge storage, just keep it tidy and we prefer that you don't cook meat in the apartment.

We work from home. We're a non-smoking, non-drinking and no drugs house. Meditation and dance junkies welcomed! We ask that you don't wear shoes inside the apartment and prefer that you don't cook meat in the house, but it is fine if you order or bring pre-made non-vegetarian meals or make sandwiches. Just be conscientious and tidy with your meal prep and storing in the fridge.

Ideal for students (Columbia U or City College) while you are looking for a place to live.

Tara and Peter were very welcoming and helpful. Special mention to Peter who gave me a couple of website names that helped me in my apartment search in NYC. Of course Tara made those wonderful waffles. They have what they call Waffle Wednesdays. Who knows, they may have Falafel Fridays soon. The description of the place was quite accurate. Highly recommended!

Tara and Peter were great! I stayed with them for a full month and they were nothing but helpful and friendly. The location is a three minute walk from the beautiful Riverside Park where you can go running, biking or just relax. The subway is just down the street giving you an easy access to all of New York! I highly recommend them to anyone who's looking for and an affordable, practical, and nice place to stay with great people in New York!

Tara and Peter are wonderful hosts and very calm people, they made me feel welcome instantly and were available to answer all my questions. Their apartment is beautifully decorated, 4th floor in an elevator building, and only few minutes walk to the subway. The room is nice and cozy, larger than it appears in the photo (there is also a table and a full length mirror on the wall.) Lovely place to relax when visiting the city. Highly recommended :)

The room was exactly as described, very clean and comfortable. I had a great time staying with Tara and Peter, they're both very relaxed and open-minded people. The communication from the host was second to none, from my 1st message to the day I leave their place. Would highly recommend any solo travellers to check out their place, especially for those that are going to New York for the 1st time!
