HEART OF SAN JOSE CITY - BUT QUIET
This is literally in the very center of San Jose, walk no more than 8 blocks to best museums, galleries, nightlife and groceries.
$12 overnight parking is available in a guarded lot, daytime street parking available.
This is a 25 - 45 minute drive to airport depending on traffic, buses also run nearby to airport and many locations in Costa Rica.
I have a tour business and can have our driver pick you up or take you to the airport for $30. This is $5 less than the regular rate.
I operate a city walking tour business so this is definitely the best place to stay to get great activity referrals. If you are interested in a city tour visit - toursanjosecostarica to see options and book in advance.

Stacey made finding the place very easy. The room was exactly as described on airbnb. I would definitely try to book here if I'm ever in San Jose again.
Stacy was great! She arranged airport transportation for me, made me feel very welcome, and ensured I had everything I needed. The location is super convenient to downtown San Jose and Barrio Amon, with good restaurants, shops, and beer nearby. I would definitely recommend this spot.
The listing was very accurate, there was a receptionist to greet us upon our arrival and he even lent us yoga mats so we could take the 7:30 class. The room was great and big, the atmosphere reminded me of India, and I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a home base in San Jose.
Stacey was incredibly accommodating on our trip to Costa Rica. Not only did she hold on to an extra bag for us while we toured La Fortuna and Tamarindo, she was able to provide us both (at different times) rides to the airport at a very reasonable charge. The room was spacious, comfortable, quiet, and the whole place was quite charming. The bathroom was clean and we both enjoyed nice hot showers, which was incredibly refreshing after a few days of intermittent water service at our hostel in Tamarindo. She provided us with a map and information on her neighborhood and recommended a very nice local cafe for dinner, which we were able to walk to just a couple blocks away. I would recommend booking with her to anyone staying or passing through San Jose, and in addition, free yoga for all guests! Thank you for everything Stacey!
I will stay at Stacy's again in the future. The location is great...a close walk to restaurants, museums and markets. I really enjoyed finishing my yoga class in her studio and having to walk just a few feet to my room. We felt very welcomed and had a great time.
My 2 friends and I stayed at this studio for 3 nights upon arriving in Costa Rica and before departure. Stacey and Robert were great hosts, well organized and helpful with their quick responses and information about San Jose. The room is very spacious and the beds are comfortable. The location is very central and in walking distance to nice restaurants, markets, parks, and museums. Highly recommended if you need a place to crash. While everyone was very nice and respectful…if you’re seeking quiet and relaxation, go elsewhere as there is quite a few people bustling about with all the classes coming through. Be prepared to share the bathroom during peak class hours.
An amazing place to stay. Both Stacey and her husband were really friendly and helpful. Stacey picked me up at the airport with a smile and a hug- which I greatly apprecciated. The room was nice and clean, and there was no traffic noise at night. I would recommend for anyone to stay with Stacey and her husband.

Expat yoguini living in Costa Rica. - I am a San Jose fanatic. It's a great small-town kind of city with museums, parks, restaurants and friends waiting at the doorstep.
I love to eat, practice yoga, go to local concerts, garden, hike and explore!
After being here for 6 years I could never live without Salsa Lizano, Gallo Pinto, walkable streets, my street pets or all of my fabulous Costa Rican friends!
If this room is booked, please write me to see if second room at same space is available.
