HEART OF SAN JOSE CITY - BUT QUIET
This is literally in the very center of San Jose, walk no more than 8 blocks to best museums, galleries, nightlife and groceries. You will NOT hear the usual neighbors, cars or construction noises of an urban area. You will hear students and yoga classes at a reasonable level - never before 8 a.m or after 10p.
$12 overnight parking is available in a guarded lot, daytime street parking available.
This is a 25 - 45 minute drive to airport depending on traffic, buses within 10 blocks also run nearby to airport and many locations in Costa Rica.
I have a tour business and can have our driver pick you up or take you to the airport for $30. This is $5 less than the regular rate.
I operate a city walking tour business so this is definitely the best place to stay to get great activity referrals. If you are interested in a city tour visit - toursanjosecostarica to see options and book in advance.

Stacey's Yoga Studio was very well located in a central part of San Jose. We enjoyed our two nights there a lot. Since the floor was just being repainted, we actually stayed in the other room. But it didn't make a big difference for us. We didn't actually meet Stacey herself, since we were just there over the weekend, but the contact with her was very friendly. I can recommend this place to anyone.
The host canceled this reservation 4 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Beautiful old building in a good location. Basic but comfortable room, fully equipped kitchen, and nice attached bathroom (shared through another door with yoga studio visitors). Be prepared for some quite loud yoga vocalizations when there are classes.
This is a great location to all you could need in San Jose. If you love Yoga you are in :) If you don't like deep, relaxing, resonating " Ohms " you will need the supplied earplugs :) The access to the train system is VERY close as well. This will likewise be liked or in NEED of the earplugs. The picture here is not the room we got. Everything is relative. Not whining just observing. Its very peaceful when you are there alone and quite centrally located so mixed review... location did work for us.
security is strong as there is a code and an alarm system to use. feel a bit ' locked in ' but that is good for some. basically, as described you are staying in a yoga studio which is used when yoga is on, some mornings and in the evening. hard to do anything when yoga is on as will make noise and disturb them... but as stated if you love / like / am interested in yoga this spot will be great and you will love it. frankly i was too tired and had the kids so we passed out ohms or not.
Stacey's place is simply lovely. I arrived quite late and her detailed instructions to allow myself in and get settled were great; her experience as a host is very evident. The home and attached yoga studio had a number of amenities and a generally warm and welcoming atmosphere, and I was able to squeeze in a yoga class in the morning before moving on. The location is also good for getting into town and to the new bus station - an added bonus.
This is a great place and I'd highly recommend it!
My party arrived in San Jose at two different times and Stacy was very accommodating and available. The room was very spacious and good, clean energy. It was a nice perk having unlimited yoga classes and I enjoyed taking a class with one of her excellent teachers. I just need to brush up on my Spanish vocabulary for body parts. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly encourage this place for any creative, conscious people out there. It is located in one of the most interesting parts of town and would be a great place to stay for an extended time if you wanted to become more familiar with the cultural district of San Jose.

About the Host, Stacey
Expat yoguini living in Costa Rica. - I am a San Jose fanatic. It's a great small-town kind of city with museums, parks, restaurants and friends waiting at the doorstep.
I love to eat, practice yoga, go to local concerts, garden, hike and explore!
After being here for 6 years I could never live without Salsa Lizano, Gallo Pinto, walkable streets, my street pets or all of my fabulous Costa Rican friends!
If this room is booked, please write me to see if second room at same space is available.
