HEART OF SAN JOSE CITY - BUT QUIET
This is literally in the very center of San Jose, walk no more than 8 blocks to best museums, galleries, nightlife and groceries.
$12 overnight parking is available in a guarded lot, daytime street parking available.
This is a 25 - 45 minute drive to airport depending on traffic, buses also run nearby to airport and many locations in Costa Rica.
I have a tour business and can have our driver pick you up or take you to the airport for $30. This is $5 less than the regular rate.
I operate a city walking tour business so this is definitely the best place to stay to get great activity referrals. If you are interested in a city tour visit - toursanjosecostarica to see options and book in advance.

An amazing place to stay. Both Stacey and her husband were really friendly and helpful. Stacey picked me up at the airport with a smile and a hug- which I greatly apprecciated. The room was nice and clean, and there was no traffic noise at night. I would recommend for anyone to stay with Stacey and her husband.
Great communication, cool place, I would stay here again in San José. Highly recommended.
All I needed was a roof over my head and a bed to sleep in. No complaints there! Stacey was very friendly.
If I had to pick at anything it would be the weak wifi. Don't expect to be able to use the web with it. At most you can send iMessages.
From the moment I arrived to the moment I left Stacey and Robert were absolutely amazing. As a person that was travelling on my own they picked me up from the airport. The space was beautiful, roomy with such an old charm that is hard to describe with words. Wi-Fi was great, bed was comfortable and to top it off the yoga class was an amazing way to start of my day...heck this location is a great place to start / finish. Stacey was amazing at providing me with much needed help and advice. I can't wait to stay here again. I would recommend this location if you want a real authentic costa rican experience!!!
We enjoyed a great night at Stacey's eclectic house in San Jose - very convenient and interesting location. Stacey was very helpful with directions for places to eat / things to do ...... also in broader Costa Rica. Great host
The room was beautiful, lots of natural sunlight. Definitely large enough for four guests if needed! Stacey was very helpful & welcoming. I loved listening to the yoga classes. Very clean, bright, & refreshing place to stay.
Stacy's place has an old world charm that you wouldn't find staying at a hotel. unfortunately we were only there for one night and didn't get to do a yoga class but the space is something to admire. her and her husband were very helpful in suggesting places for us to walk around the city. some places are safer than others to park your car overnight so be mindful of that if you are driving, otherwise public transportation is fairly easy and Stacy also offered us a ride to the airport at same fare as a cab. the room is simple with two beds and we made ourselves at home. good place to stay for passing through the city and doing a yoga class or two. the only thing I will comment on is that a train does go by a few times through the night and is quite loud if you are not used to city sounds.
Expat yoguini living in Costa Rica. - I am a San Jose fanatic. It's a great small-town kind of city with museums, parks, restaurants and friends waiting at the doorstep.
I love to eat, practice yoga, go to local concerts, garden, hike and explore!
After being here for 6 years I could never live without Salsa Lizano, Gallo Pinto, walkable streets, my street pets or all of my fabulous Costa Rican friends!
If this room is booked, please write me to see if second room at same space is available.
