Apartment - Entire home/apt · Calle, San Jose, San Jose, Costa Rica

The Space

SPACE:
Take advantage of this quiet, bohemian opportunity in the heart of San Jose, 1 - 8 blocks from museums, groceries, bars, and more. You'll stay and relax at a Yoga Studio, in your private bedroom and 90%-private apt., even meeting locals and practicing spanish if desired.

You are definitely staying here if you want to relax and also be near all the fun stuff downtown.

APT:
You will stay in our colorful apartment that doubles as an office during class hours. You will have 1 Completely Private, Lockable Bedroom, Outside Patio and Private Outside Kitchen (fridge, stovetop, sink and foreman with basic cooking dishes) to yourself the entire stay. The bed is a queen and is really comfortable. Hot water shower, free wi-fi, come and go as you please. Towels, dryer, and washer available.

The bathroom and office space will be in use approximately 30 minutes in the morning and an hour at night. So the majority of the time the space is all yours!

YOGA:
You are welcome to 1 class a day during your stay. The Yoga studio is next door, a great way to relax after travel.

HEART OF SAN JOSE CITY - BUT QUIET
This is literally in the very center of San Jose, walk no more than 8 blocks to best museums, galleries, nightlife and groceries.

$12 overnight parking is available in a guarded lot, daytime street parking available.

This is a 25 - 45 minute drive to airport depending on traffic, buses also run nearby to airport and many locations in Costa Rica.

AIRPORT SHUTTLE:
I have a tour business and can have our driver pick you up or take you to the airport for $30. This is $5 less than the regular rate.

CITY TOURS
I operate a city walking tour business so this is definitely the best place to stay to get great activity referrals. If you are interested in a city tour visit - toursanjosecostarica to see options and book in advance.

Cheers!

  • The room was located in a very secure complex right near some great bars and places to eat. Stacey was not available but her friend Diego was really wonderful and took his time to show us around. A nice inexpensive place to stay in San Jose for sure.

  • The place was perfectly what I needed to get my feet on the ground when arriving in Costa Rica. Basic, very central but quiet, main places and shopping facilities just around the corner, easy access to the bus terminals. Very good yoga class is included, so you can get your joints reset after a long flight :)
Special Thanks y un millón de gracias to Diego!!!! Very nice guy to hang out with and get some good advice!!!
    Highly recommended!

  • We stayed at Stacey's place only one night. She is a gracious host and the location is really right in the middle of San Jose, convenient to the market, museum, and great restaurants. The place is simple, clean, and has everything you need, and if you like yoga, it is adjacent to her yoga studio! Thanks for having us stay!

  • Stacey was extremely welcoming and I wish I could've stayed longer than I did. Wonderful host!

  • Had a great first time in Costa Rica! Stacey's place was exactly as described and very convenient to downtown attractions. Literally walking distance within a few blocks you are in the center of San Jose. Also very convenient to schedule tours smoothly since it is right below a hotel. Robert was a great host and they both gave excellent tips on how to navigate through Costa Rica. Excellent host and will definitely be in touch when I travel their again. The yoga class was a great addition to the stay. Thanks!!

  • Stacey's room behind the yoga studio was just as described- we had a brief stay of just one night but thoroughly enjoyed San Jose while we where there, much in part to dinner suggestions that Stacey made for us. :)

  • Stacey is very helpful and friendly. She guided me to where I needed to go and made sure my stay was comfortable and clean. She showed me the ins and outs of her rental and gave me info on the local attractions. Very private and safe. Definitely would stay here again!

  • was at Stacey's for such a short stay, as a stopover on our way to Manuel Antonio. Robert picked us up at the airport an was very friendly. the place is right next to downtown so we had the chance to experience San Jose even for one quick evening. had a good sleep and then we were off. had we stayed longer, we would have tried a yoga class, the studio looked like an ideal space!

  • Stacey and Robert are nice hosts. They picked us up and dropped us off at the airport so we didn't have to worry (there's no real addresses in Costa Rica so it's difficult to explain how to get somewhere you've never been!) the room was clean and quiet and has a lot to offer in the area.

  • We stayed at Stacey's apartment for four weeks. It is place for those who favor location and character over fancy accommodations. It was, as promised, close to everything, downtown, museums, buses, taxis, train station, parks, restaurants, and her Yoga studio. We enjoyed the yoga classes and the freedom to use the apartment as a base as we visited Costa Rica. Stacey and Robert were terrific hosts

About
Expat yoguini living in Costa Rica. - I am a San Jose fanatic. It's a great small-town kind of city with museums, parks, restaurants and friends waiting at the doorstep. I love to eat, practice yoga, go to local concerts, garden, hike and explore! After being here for 4 years I could never live without Salsa Lizano, Gallo Pinto, walkable streets, my street pets or all of my fabulous Costa Rican friends!
