Enjoy gent, it is a nice place!
I really enjoyed my time staying with Inge. Her house had everything I needed for a comfortable stay and is situated close enough to town to make most adventures easily convenient. Plus she is a very welcoming and generous host who made me feel right at home.
My room had maps of the area and other bits of info waiting for me on arrival which was a much appreciated touch.
My busy schedule meant that we didn't see each other too often. But her cats always provided a warm welcome when I got home each night.
If I have any more trips to Gent, I would be very happy to stay again given the chance. Definitely recommended
The room and the house were as shown on pictures. The host was not flexible at all with check in and check out times. Having to leave before 8:30 is a bit too much. Plus there were notes all over the house explaining what you can or cannot do. That didn't give a sense of comfort. Apart from that the host was very correct.
The person, Manuels mom, had to leave even earlier then that because of a train strike so the time of leaving was not even important. I also asked before she came if that would be a problem, because I have to go to work and I like to keep safety. The notes are also for safety and cleaness. Not every guest has the same standards. She is an older lady and knows how to keep respect, clean but I also get very young or chaotic guests and like that they dont forget
Inge is a lovely lovely woman , she is generous and welcoming and sometimes would give me a lift in the morning on her way to work. She has a great home and two very nice cats. There is lots of beautiful art done by Inge on the walls and you can really tell that she puts a lot of time in to caring for her home. The room was comfy and spacious and I had a little Tv and a desk to do some work. The shower was good and so was everything really ,it is in a nice neighbourhood and just a short distance by tram to anywhere you want to visit in the centre.I would really recommend staying here if you are visiting gent .
Inge was incredibly welcoming and very friendly. She is really well travelled, and could relate to my experiences during my travels. The location of the apartment is simply perfect. Right next to the centre of the town and train station for an easy exit from the city. I would highly recommend Inge and would stay again if I was to visit the amazing city of Ghent again!
