Our guests have loved their stays here. Here is a sampling from the reviews:
"The room was just as advertised and perfect for my needs: private entrance, quiet, large space that was very clean and comfortably furnished, and the ideal location for my visit. Arun and his wife Mira are very considerate hosts, gracious and friendly. I would love to stay there again!"
"If you need to be near Waikiki, Honolulu and surrounding attractions, this is the place to stay."
"This is the perfect place to stay in Honolulu. Out of the crowded city with good connection to bus station. Arun and his wife are very helpful and friendly people. Thank you for sharing your home with me!"
"As all of the other reviews indicate, this place is perfect for what it is and is very honestly and accurately described in the listing description and photographs. If you read the room description and view the pictures and think, "that sounds perfect for my what I'm looking for," then you will most likely be delighted to stay here. The room was clean, spacious, quiet, safe, and private. The private entrance is especially a plus and somewhat unique for a single room rental such as this. The suburban neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The location is great for exploring the island - 10-15 min. to Waikiki and Honolulu in one direction, and easy access to the beautiful beaches on the southeast side of the island in the other. Arun was very communicative and helpful at all times. He clearly cares about making sure a guest has an enjoyable stay. If you're independent and looking for a safe, quiet place to base out of and spend most of time exploring Oahu and at a fantastic price, you won't be disappointed. I would stay again here in a heartbeat."

Beautiful view of the mountains, along with a blackout roller shade for the days you want to sleep in.
Arun and his wife were very welcoming hosts. I used to live in Oahu, not far from this Aina Haina residence. The unit was perfect for me when I was back in town for my friend's wedding. Arun was super responsive to airbnb messages and texts, which was particularly important for me since I booked at the last minute. The unit was nice and clean. It was in the 90s every day, but I still didn't feel the need to use the AC--just had the windows open and the fan going and it worked great for me. Previous reviewers mentioned the bathroom is handicap-accessible, which is true and definitely great if someone needs that. The shower (can be handheld) is low as someone had mentioned, but I'm 5'3" and I could stand under it with no problem--it was actually the perfect height for me :) All in all, it was a great place with a great host!
Was very welcoming and responded to txts and e-mails almost immediately. Unit was clean, and had a ceiling fan as well as a working a/c unit which was especially important given the recent heat wave.
Near market, restaurants, gym, and route into or away from town.
Will stay here again.
Arun was very helpful and attentive on check in and check out. The room was standard but aside from this the location is amazing. It's halfway from Waikiki and the east side of Oahu (short drive to Waimanalo Bay). It's easily the best place to settle away from the hectic tourist scene while still being accessible and offering a more local scene. Arun was extremely helpful and respectful and I'd be happy to book with him again.
Arun made me feel very welcome. There is a beautiful view of the mountains from the bedroom, and a supermarket, sushi place, bank, etc. just down the road. I highly recommend staying here for the solo traveler. The parking is very easy and the neighborhood is safe. Wonderful stay!
The place was great and perfect for what I wanted. Quiet clean comfy and easily accessible. It was my second time staying with Arun and I'll be back again. I highly recommend it.
Arun and his wife, Mira, were such wonderful and kind hosts. Their place was very comfortable and located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. The central location was very convenient and not just to Waikiki, but to the other sides of the island including the North Shore, Kailua/Lanikai, and Ko Olina. I especially appreciated the spacious bathroom, mini fridge, free WiFi, separate entry, ceiling fan, air conditioning, blackout shades, easy street parking along the side of the house, and the hair dryer. It's the perfect place to come back to after a long day of hiking and beach time because it has all of the essentials. Great value as well.
Very clean and quiet, nice neighborhood, relaxing place to stay. The one thing that may not be obvious from the photos is that the bathroom is fully handicap-accessible. This would be great to know for anyone that would benefit; for those who don't need it, just a heads up that the showerhead is handheld (too low to stand under), and you'll have to bend way over to see yourself in the sink mirror. Not a big deal, but don't be surprised!
