About this listing

If you are looking for a comfortable and quiet apartment in the middle of a beautiful, non-touristic area, I am happy to introduce you my apartment. Warmly decorated, my bright and spacious apartment gives you a feeling of being home.

The space

The house is a double floor (3rd and 4th floor) apartment in the Westerpark area, a beautiful residential area which is 15 minutes away from the Jordaan (centre). The house has been completely renovated with a country-styled look and personal touches and has just recently been taken care for with new beds and furniture. Additional furniture for babies and small children are available per request.

Look and feel:
The kitchen and living are in open connection with one another, making this floor a warm space to be in. There are windows on both sides, so there is always enough light entering the house. The kitchen has been designed with antique wood in combination with modern equipment: cooking plates (gas), electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and milk creamer. There is enough cooking utensils hove dine with maximum 8 persons.

The living room has two comfortable couches and there are family games for adults and toys for smaller children. There is a big flat screen TV with digital television and off course wifi throughout the apartment.

The top floor has just what you need: two nice bedrooms and a small but convenient bathroom. Both bedrooms are equipped with 3 single beds (boxsprings, size 90x200 each). You can easily make a double bed by moving two beds together.

When you wake up early in the morning, you can take a shower while the sun shines right through the window onto you! A beautiful way to start the day!!

The apartment can be rented for a longer period, in which case a cleaning service is included in the price (once per two weeks).

I can also help you with hiring bikes for the duration of your stay. They are not expensive and make your stay a lot more fun!

For any questions, please feel free to contact me at any time.

I wish you a nice stay in Amsterdam, wherever you stay,

Best wishes,

I ask all guests for a deposit of 150 euros. I've had some issues with the neighbours about big noise troubles and I want to keep them happy. After all they live there. The deposit will be handled via Airbnb and will be unblocked within 48 hours after your stay.

Emergency exit is down the stairs or onto the roof. Please use the roof only in real emergencies, I don't want you to fall of the roof.

This apt is in a great safe neighborhood. It's quiet but very kid-friendly with a playground right behind the building. The number 21 bus stops behind the building as well and goes to central station. In any case, it is easy to walk to the center or other places like Anne frank etc. Apt has working washer and dryer which were a huge help. Also dishwasher. 2 supermarkets are within 10 min walking distance. Both bedrooms have 3 twin beds. I spent 10 nights here and it was 5 of us (incl 3 kids ages 3, 8, 11). The bathroom had the standard European shower (no shower curtain or door) and there are the standard Dutch toilets (coming from the U.S.) we had to get used to these :-). We enjoyed our stay in this apt and we're glad we stayed here instead of in the crowded center.

Great location in a pretty quiet, comfortable nighborhood. The apartment has everything you need, including a hair dryer that my girlfriend forgot to bring. The apartment is very close to public transit allowing you to get to all of the sights in Amsterdam quickly and easily. Internet speed was fantastic.

We had a great stay, nice quiet location not very central though. We mainly used uber to get around the city however there is a bus/tram stop within walking distance so it's not hard to get around. The apartment is on the third floor with lots of steep stairs. There are two bedrooms with three single beds (actual beds - not sofa beds) which were great for two couples (we just pushed two beds together). Washing machine and dryer were easy to use. Overall a very clean and comfortable place. The only issue we had was that there was apparently a miscommunication regarding our check out - a person entered the apartment at 7pm one evening, luckily we were home, he was very apologetic and explained he was told we were checking out and he left very quickly and returned in a few days for the correct check out day/time. Not a huge deal but did make us wonder how many people have access to the apartment. Would definitely stay there again.

Pieter's place is in a nice, quiet neighborhood in Amsterdam. It had everything we needed. Pieter does not live in Amsterdam, so he had his friend Hakim assist us in check-in. The apartment was clean and warm when we arrived. It's on the top two floors of the building it's in, so I recommend not packing too heavily if you plan to stay here. All in all, Pieter's place will definitely make you feel at home in Amsterdam.

Very nice stay at Pieter's apartment, every thing was as listed, the apartment is in a quiet residential neighborhood that is about 3 km from the city center, check-in was easy as we were met by Pieter's friend Hakim who let us in and showed us around. Would recommend Pieter's apartment if you'd like to stay outside of the busier and noisier neighborhoods with easy access to the rest of Amsterdam.

I'm Pieter, I'm 41 years old and I'm an artist. It once was my hobby, but I soon found out that it is one of the few things that when I'm doing it, I completely forget everything else around me. That was the sign for me to stop doing what I did and make a change in life.

I love to change people's thoughts about things. I believe that the power of change lies within people themselves, but sometimes people just need something to trigger them. That's what I try to achieve with what I make.

You are welcome to stay in my apartment. Please feel free to use it as it were your home. I truly hope that you have a nice stay in Amsterdam. A beautiful city worth visiting.
