Very clean place in a good location in Denver (close to downtown and the new Trader Joe's, plus within walking of a coffee shop and a few restaurants). The apartment was light and airy. There were plenty of cooking utensils, spices, and glasses. The bathroom was fine and had towels, shampoo, etc.
The only downside was that the bedroom was a little cold and the bed was very lumpy and squeaky. The closet was great and spacious, with coat hangers at the ready. Street parking was available, though it was on a fairly busy one-lane road.
There was also a very lovely roof deck with chairs. I thought that was a nice touch on a cute one-bedroom apartment. I would definitely stay there again.
Thank you for the review Kara. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay in Denver. I'm sorry you had problems with the bed being lumpy and squeaky. Also wanted to let you know that there is a space heater in the bedroom so that our guests will be nice and toasty warm on winter evenings. Thank you for bringing these issues to my attention. We'll take care of these right away. We pride ourselves in being able to offer our guests a comfortable, relaxing experience.
Carey was a great host. The apartment felt like home immediately. I will definately recommend her place to others. Thanks Carey for the chance to stay at your apartment.
Carey's place was perfect. Clean, spacious, and convenient to park and get around Denver. I'd highly recommend checking it out if you need a place to stay in town.
This was my first experience personally booking on AirBnB and it was outstanding! Carey was very easy to reach, quick to respond and left my Dad and I feeling completely taken care of from the moment of inquiry about the apartment until well after our stay was over. Since I had never been to Denver or booked anything on the site before, I was debating on getting a motel in the same area for about $15 cheaper. Thank God I went with my gut and booked Carey's place! It was excellent, well-worth the money and superior to any hotel room I have ever booked at the same price. It's in a great location, cozy, safe and has a lot of character: a nice getaway for anyone traveling through Denver. The kitchen is surprisingly well stocked with items I didn't even expect to find: food processor, blender, lots of great spices and even champagne and shot glasses. We had a chance to meet her on our way out and she was very friendly and hospitable. When my father left some items in the master bedroom, Carey was nice enough to message me and offer to mail them.
Outstanding! I definitely recommend this place to everyone and will absolutely refer all my friends visiting Denver to stay here.
This is an amazing place with everything you need. Carey was quick to respond and very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.
I had an excellent stay at Carey's Congress Park apartment. The place is very cozy and the neighborhood is great. Just up the street is a fantastic locals restaurant - Shells and Sauce - that I highly recommend. Cary was great to chat with and makes the check in and out process as easy as can be. I will be back and hope to stay there again in the future!
Carey's apartment was everything we expected and more! It was immaculately clean and central to everything. A very comfortable cozy apartment. I would definaetly stay tgere again.
Thank you Carey.
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Carey's apartment. It was the perfect size and provided all the comforts of home. We loved the private roof top patio. One night we decided to walk down the street to one of the handful of restaurants within walking distance, Shells and Sauce. It was the best Italian we have had in a long time! The location of the apartment was great too! We would definitely stay with Carey again.
This is my second stay at Carey's apartment and this time was no different from the first, which was great! The apartment is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood just a few blocks away from Colfax. The apartment itself was very clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. It was nice having the full kitchen and being able to cook when I wanted. Check in and check out was also extremely easy. Overall I had another wonderful experience and I would recommend staying at Carey's apartment to anyone.
Great location and the place is set up extremely well! Wifi, kitchen, and everything else you need for a home away from home. Carey was always a phone call away (or in the nearby business if needed) and very easy to work with and talk to. I found it a little funny that the heat was always set high (it's the winter) with the only option to cool the place down being to open the windows.
I would definitely recommend this place to a friend and stay here again!
Heating a building that was built in 1902 and is plaster and lath construction (no insulation) is tricky in Colorado winters where the temperature one day is in the low teens and the next is in the 50's or 60's. Over the years we've found it more cost effective to leave the heat on at a higher temperature (75 during the day, 72 at night). In addition to opening the windows, there is also the option of closing the heat vents so the heat doesn't come into the apartment. Each room has a vent that can be closed. Just a thought.
