  • I can't lavish enough praise on Craig and Annick for being such exceptional hosts (thanks so much guys for a great stay!).

It's a gorgeous and wonderfully eclectic home and the room itself was fantastic. I found it a great place to base myself for my excursions up the Wicklow mountains as well.

I would go back again in a heartbeat just for the homemade bread!! I would recommend it to anyone planning on staying in the area.

P.s. I haven't tried the Florida chicken reciepe yet, but I'll let you know how I get on when I do!

    Response from Annick:

Thanks Declan. It was really lovely to meet you and I hope you call in any time you're passing through or planning a hike in the mountains. You're welcome any time.

  • Annick, her daughter and her husband are very friendly and attentive hosts. We enjoyed our stay at Annicks beautiful place with a cuddly cat, also a cuddly dog and even two hens only a few carminutes away from the Wicklow Mountains and the beach.

  • We spent two fantastic days at The Corner House with Annick and Craig and their daughter, they are a lovely family and know well how to make their guests feel like at home. The house is so nice as well, cozy living room with sofas and big kitchen; bedroom was clean and well arranged and you would expect.

Newtown is a small town with it's own amenities but it's very close to other villages where you can enjoy the beach or a walk in the woods around Wicklow area.

  • This home and family are both truly lovely. Brilliant, friendly Irish hospitality.
    Particular highlights for us were:
    The farmhouse kitchen.
The homemade bread and jam and tea when we arrived.
    The chickens.

We only stayed for one weekend but my girlfriend and I had such a lovely time and felt so relaxed and welcome we are planning to go back for a longer stay.

  • Staying with Annick, Craig and their daughter Kiri, really felt like home from home. The whole family, were so kind, concerned and warm. I would certainly come back to them again, whenever I visit Ireland. Thanks a million Annick and Craig, for the wonderful time I had with you.

  • The Bishops welcomed us very warmly.
They invited us to the beach for a walk and then showed us a place to eat. When we came back to sleep in the lovely bedroom, they made tea and lent us a water bottle.
Our time with them was perfect, even the animals were so nice ! Thanks a lot.

  • We felt so at home with Annick and Craig, we came in late after sight seeing and were welcomed with tea, flap jacks, and conversation. Their daughter was a treat, it was interesting to hear about her school. They have a dog (Apple) and cat (Lazy long cat), they helped with the home sickness (we were missing our dogs). We planned to stay one night, but the scones and soda bread convinced us to stay another (among many other things) LOL. Annick was very friendly and rather motherly in caring and Craig was fun and laid back. The entire family just put you at ease. The location was convenient; post office, grocery, and restaurants, in town. Dublin, Glendalough, Gray Stones, and the beach close drive. We loved it so much we were spoiled for the next B&B. It was our first stop in Ireland. They were very well traveled as well and had many stories to share. If we could, we would have probably moved in with them. ;-)

Come back and visit us again, next time for longer! Hope you have great fun in Greece! Annick and Craig

  • I could not have landed with a better experience on my first few days in Ireland! Annick and family are so gracious, welcoming and caring..I very much enjoyed our conversations and only wished I had more time. Their home is located right in the center of the village so all of the conveniences are within walking distance.....parking was easy and I was met with an immediate warm sense of home as I stepped through their green gate in to the courtyard....and clearly there's an artistic flair that Annick imparts....simply delightful. The large kitchen is a convivial gathering place. ..I loved the bedroom with the window looking out to the dominant chestnut trees and the bed was so comfortable! Their location has proximity to Glendalough and the monastic ruins which I'm so glad I gave time in my travels to experience. The Kennedy pub has great food and the bartender is super friendly. My deepest gratitude to the Bishop family!

We really loved having you to stay Cory and wish you could have stayed longer. Any chance of you coming back to visit?! Thank you for being a super guest! Annick

  • I originally was going to stay for one night but ended up staying for two because Annick's home is very comfortable and inviting. Its a great alternative to staying in the city if you want a more peaceful visit. Annick's was very helpful and kind. She has a wonderfully talented and intelligent family as well.

The place is close enough to get to Glendalough and Dublin easily which I visited both during my stay. There is also a nice area for a walk if you don't want to travel outside of the town.

It was great having you to stay Keenan. Come and visit again! Annick & Co.

  • This Irish Haven in Wicklow Village is a true gem. Both the hosts and the home are incredibly warm and welcoming. The home is extremely well-kept, charming and decorated like a beautiful B & B. There is ample space to enjoy the garden, a tasteful sitting room or the spacious kitchen. I loved waking up to homemade bread and freshly baked scones and coming home to someone to share my day with or a room to myself if I wanted. Annick and her whole family took part in sharing visitor tips and I was able to get to their home from Dublin AND visit the beautiful countryside all by bus (whose stop is steps from their front door!) This Irish Haven offers a real connection to a wonderful place. I would visit this place again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend it to all.
