Welcome to Albuquerque! I am a veteran AirBNB host from NYC who has moved to New Mexico, and we're delighted to welcome other visitors to our new adobe home in the Land of Enchantment.
Our travel-themed house is 2000 square feet total, and your stay includes full use of the kitchen, living room, family room, dining room, sunroom, and oasis of a backyard with meditation pond, lawn, firepit, and outdoor dining spaces. It's a great space to enjoy at any time of day.
Our guest bedroom comes furnished with a bed, bureau, and closet, with an adjoining open-plan library room containing a desk and a futon for those needing additional sleeping space for additional guests. (The master bedroom can also be made available for slightly more per night--just ask.)
It's your holiday! I'm here to chat over a drink, or just simply answer questions--as you like.
Come and stay at the edge of Albuquerque's upscale Ridgecrest neighborhood. We're also just on the eastern side of the hip district of Nob Hill, and close to the airport.
Only one mile from the coolest restaurants in town, and only ten minutes from the airport, so it couldn't be more convenient. For those without a car, my house is also an easy ten-minute walk from the "Magic Bus Stop" (that's its real name!) which takes you to UNM in only two stops.
If you are visiting Albuquerque for business or pleasure, on your way out to Santa Fe, Taos, or the other wonders of enchanting New Mexico, or just looking for an oasis on your cross-country peregrinations, you are more than welcome to stay at the Mission, your oasis in the high desert!
i love luis!!!!!!
We enjoyed our stay with Luis. As we were first time visitors to ABQ he proved to be a valuable resource. He went out of his way to be helpful. His location is very good. Good restaurants in walking distance as well as easy access to public transit.
I chose this place because it looked very beautiful and such good things said about Luis. It's all true...except for the room itself, which is ugly and shabbily furnished: the one bedside lamp is oversized and over bright. There's also a chest of drawers with white paint stains and in need of paint or refinishing. I could have lived with this, but the room was also dirty, with dust bunnies all along the walls and stains of something or other on the floor. If you look in the pictures added to my profile, you can see a desiccated fly and an old, used up toothpaste tube, and also note the crud in the basin. The other picture shows one of the many dust bunnies. If you don't mind the dirt then, yes indeed, Luis is very pleasant and HIS area, is clean and nice in every way.
I’m perplexed that the bedroom’s vintage furniture did not meet Flavia's aesthetic standards--other guests have rather enjoyed this. I’m also sorry to only now be learning of her other concerns and I wonder why she did not say anything to me in person at any point over the course of her four-night stay, so that I could make her visit more enjoyable. I did my best to accommodate Flavia and her change of dates, her unexpected late arrival, and her various other requests, but two weeks after her departure, she wrote this review. I wish her well in her future travels.
Great place to stay -- comfortable, nice neighborhood, unique house. Luis is a very warm and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay!
I enjoyed my recent stay with Luis. He was a great host who was easy to talk to and gave several recommendations of places to visit around Albuquerque. His home is in easy commuting distance to UNM, unique restaurants and shops. At his recommendation, I enjoyed some great coffee and authentic Mexican cuisine that I otherwise would not have tried since the locations are off the beaten path. The room and bath accommodations were ok. The house has some interesting artistic qualities; the outdoor garden area is quite lovely.
My stay with Luis was delightful- he's a very gracious and joyful host. He has a great grasp of the area and helped me plan my travels north to Sante Fe and beyond- he shared about 2 unique NM spas to visit (10,000 Waves and Ojo Caliente) which were both amazing additions to my wonderful trip to NM. Additionally he knew the best place to get great coffee nearby- a real bonus!
Our stay in Albuquerque was very brief but Luis made us feel right at home. He is warm and welcoming and his house is beautiful!
Even if you are just passing through Albuquerque, this is the place to be.
The first thing that strikes you about Luis is how joyful he is! He greeted us at the door as if we'd known him for years and we were finally able to get together again. Luis is also a considerate and gracious host and an interesting person to talk to. His house is very cool and in a hip part of Albuquerque that's close to the airport.
Clean, comfortable and convenient to the University where I had business. And Luis was a great host, accommodating my unpredictable schedule, and making me feel very welcome...
My boyfriend and I only got to stay with Luis for one night, but his home was very welcoming and friendly! He had great information about good eats in Albuquerque, which were just a short drive away, and even some scenic alternative routes to take on our way back to Tucson! The room was comfortable and the bathroom has some really fantastic lighting (it looks like the sky during sunset!). Luis' backyard is also exceptional, with lots of seating and vegetation. I only wish I'd had more time, because ABQ definitely has some charm, and Luis' Mission is a part of it!
