Christine's place was the perfect place for a quiet and serene stay! She is a wonderful host and very accommodating. I highly recommend her peaceful bungalow.
Don't know if 500 words will be enough to describe the extraordinary time I had in California because of Christine's AMAZING hospitality! She made my girlfriend and I so at home I could've easily thought I flew back to Puerto Rico instead. The room was everything we hoped for and much, much more! Upon arrival we were greeted by her cute little dogs (which was awesome since my girlfriend brought her dog with her and he made some friends on our vacation!). Entering the room we noticed a bottle of wine waiting for us which was just the thing needed after such a long flight west! Equipped with a mini-fridge and a microwave, my girlfriend and I enjoyed simply going to the store and picking up some things for breakfast and late night snacks. The bathroom was super clean and was stocked with everything you could imagine just in case you forgot to pack any toiletries. But the highlight of the room has to be the bed. The bed was so comfy I asked her to stay for a little longer past my check out haha! The neighborhood is as picturesque as it can get! Very clean and the scents of the flowers and the trees at night are intoxicating. Located around plenty of bars, restaurants, and beautiful Balboa park, it's great to say I never left the neighborhood to celebrate my birthday exactly how i wanted. Getting to downtown San Diego was also skip away with plenty of attractions to check out! If possible to get to, the beach at Coronado is fantastic to spend an afternoon. This having been my first experience, I have a good feeling Auntie Chris simply cannot be outdone! With my girlfriend's family living in San Diego, this will always be my #1 go-to place for a little getaway. Thank you so much for everything you did for us and lil Pierre! We hope to see you again very soon!
This was my first AirBnB experience and I certainly wasn't disappointed. Chris's place is exactly as the photos and description depict - charming, cozy, clean, spacious and welcoming. The added special touches or real cream for my morning coffee and a chilled bottle of white waiting upon my arrival made me feel special. I will never stay in a hotel again! Unfortunately, I was not able to meet Chris personally due to a family emergency (my heart goes out to you and your family...) but her friend welcomed me in when I arrived. The neighborhood is quintessential San Diego - charming period bungalows, hilltop views, incredibly quiet for being in a bustling city setting, convenient to any major freeway to explore the surrounds. I felt safe taking my walks around the neighborhood at any time of day or evening. Since I have adult children living and working in the San Diego area, this charming, peaceful casita will be my go-to place from now on...home away from home to see my kids and recharge my batteries.
Chris's place is AWESOME. Tons of privacy, VERY clean, well equipped, and very charming. The towels were high quality which is a nice treat when traveling- and the bed is super comfy! Chris was a fantastic host- very organized and accommodating. She left a bottle of wine for us - a very nice treat- and allowed me to borrow her iron and ironing board at my convenience. She was there if we needed her- but left us to our ourselves otherwise. I would highly recommend staying here. I've stayed at many airbnb spaces and Chris's guest house is by far my favorite!
My boyfriend and I stayed at Christine's for 5 nights during our stay in San Diego and we could not have asked for a better vacation. Chris (and her cute dogs!) greeted us upon arrival and showed us around a bit. The room was quaint and comfortable (especially the bed!) and there is a very nice patio area to sit and enjoy your coffee in the morning. The house is located in the most central location to all the attractions San Diego has to offer. It didn't take us longer than 10-15 minutes to get anywhere we wanted to go. It was nice to be able to walk a block over to get coffee, breakfast and/or dinner. Chris was more than accommodating and even drove to the market to get us cream at 8:30 pm one of the nights which was greatly appreciated!
Overall we had such a great experience and I would highly recommend Chris to anyone planning to visit San Diego!
My boyfriend and I had such a great time at Chris'! The room is very private and the amenities included were great for a short trip (mini fridge, water, coffee, tea, cable, toiletries etc). A perfect place to come home to after a long day of exploring the city! Unfortunately, we never got to meet Chris but we would definitely love to come back.
