A lovely simple single room in a clean bright friendly house. The house is a 1930s period property and would be fairly typical of the type of house that a lot of Irish people live in,. I work from home a lot so will be on hand to help you out with any questions. You will have the run of the house, and will be given a door key so you can come and go as you wish, and when you are not out exploring the city you are welcome to use the kitchen to cook in, or the sitting room to curl up by the open fire with our old dog and slightly mad cat ,and a good book, or watch some telly or avail of the WiFi .If the weather is fine you can sit out in the very private garden and even have a BBQ if you like. Located about 4 kms from the city center ,in a quiet residential area, which has late night supermarkets, a post office, a chemist and parks on the doorstep and a selection of restaurants and local pubs, about 15 minutes away . Or if you want to pop into the city, the bus stops just at the end of our little cul de sac and it will have you there in approx 25 mins .The room itself has many little extras, like a kettle, tea, coffee and biscuits if you fancy a late night snack ,maps of the area so you won't get lost, practical things like, adapter plugs, an elec blanket to keep you cosy , towels, extra bedding , pillows,. Breakfast is included in the price,I will provide a selection of breakfast items i.e. tea, coffee, brown bread, eggs yogurt ,honey, fruit and you are welcome to cook it at any time you want , so if you wish to have breakfast at 7am or 3pm that is just fine with me . I am happy to do either short term or long term , just let me know what suits, my house is a normal Dublin house, it is not a hotel or hostel, I try really hard to make you feel at home , and to give as much info about getting around Dublin as possible...... So we look forward to your visit..... Really you will not get better value any where else ...GREAT VALUE !!!!!!
Kitchen , Living Room , bathroom, garden
As much as possible
Yes, the numbers 9, 17, 54a, 15a buses all stop close by and will take you into the city in about 25 mins or across the city if needed
this is in general a happy, safe, friendly, clean house
Barbara is the best host ever! Everything you need, she'll be happy to help you and she'll make you feel at home. Thank you for everything, Barbara.
I stayed with Barbara for 6 months and enjoyed every single minute!
She is such an incredible woman!!! Simply amazing. I could go on forever about how nice and helpful and awesome she is... So, to sum it up: Lovely house, lovely room, lovely pets and a wonderful host.
I highly recommend staying here and I hope I'll see you soon again, Barbara :)
Barbara was amazing!! Her house is located right across from a park with market, pharmacy and restaurants a short walk. The house itself is simple, clean and spacious with a beautiful garden to enjoy your coffee or tea. Washing machine is a BIG PLUS! Barbara has a precious dog named Feebee, she's so playful, that i really enjoyed taking to the park for a nice walk. Barbara always had the refrigerator and pantry FILLED to the brim with food. And there was plenty of tea and coffee around to suit.
Also, I rented a car and parked just outside of Barbara's without any fuss. Her house is located about 6 km from Dublin city center. It took me less that 10 minutes to drive into town where the Guinness Storehouse is located.
I would recommend anyone to say with Barbara. She was an excellent host and she exceeded all of my expectations for an AirBnB experience. This was my first stay aswell!! It couldn't have worked out better!!
I truly had such a great stay at Barbara's place! I would truly recommend this place to any of my close friends or family. She is so welcoming and was always there to help me figure out how to get into the city center or to my next place in Ireland. She really went above and beyond in making my stay comfortable and easy. Plus, she is just very nice to talk to and be around! The breakfast offering was so great and my room was lovely. Everything was very clean and my bed was so comfortable. Thank you for an aboslutely amazing stay!
My stay with Barbara was very enjoyable from start to finish! It was great to be picked up from the bus station, especially as it was the middle of the night and Barbara waited up for me. Barbara is a gracious host and made me feel very welcome in her home and in her country!
Barbara is by far the best AirBnB host I've had! She's so friendly and welcoming, and became a friend within minutes. I would highly recommend anyone staying in Dublin to stay with her if you can!
I stayed for my semester abroad three month at Barbaras house. Barbara made me feel at home from the first day on and helped me at the beginning with informations about Dublin and when i had any question, she helped whatever it was.
The room i was staying in was perfect and really comfortable. The whole house was absolute nice and i was allowed to use the garden, the comfortable living room and the perfect kitchen whenever i wanted, while i was living there. All other people who were living there and who i have met while i was living there were really nice and helpful.
Barbaras house is located in a beautiful little street and its nice and quiet. There is bus stop just next in front of her house and two buses are driving directly to the city. The next supermarkets are 50m away and always open until 10pm.
I always got fresh blankets and towels plus i could use the washing mashine whenever i wanted. Barbara always provided nice food for the breakfast and everything is well organized!
I miss the time at her house and i will definitely come back for a holiday !!!!!
