My stay at the Lovely Room w/Amenities was indeed lovely. I felt welcomed immediately as a hand-prepared note awaited me upon my arrival. The hostess and host were very accommodating and in particular left reminders for me that I was their honored guest. There was a chocolate next to the bed on a table with water and a glass, interesting bath supplies to share, and the room was made up with a guest in mind. I appreciated these efforts greatly. The hosts were friendly too, and helped me locate shops nearby, and provided area maps and literature. The decorating in the house and room were so sweet as well, and I enjoyed looking at those. My only hesitation about the stay was that the neighborhood and exterior of the house was not as inviting. I wished the front door had been painted or decorated to inform me of the great interior since the surroundings on the street failed to do that. I even wondered if this rougher-feeling area of town was safe for me. It was a lovely stay over all and I would certainly return.
A great place to stay in a great location. Alexis and Mark were really friendly.
Stayed for 1 night during a short visit to Ithaca. Alexis and Mark are extremely nice and gracious. The house is in a great location...walking distance from The Commons! The room was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again.
We stayed at Alexis&Mark's for a weekend and we had a great time. The house is very well located, the interior has a unique decor. A great experience!
Alexis & Mark truly offered us a lovely room. The room in general and the smallest details were very welcoming. The pair gave clear check in and check out instructions.
I stayed in the Lovely Room for one week while visitng Cornell University. The room as well as the rest of the house was lovely and Mark and Alexis were excellent hosts. The location was great, close to restaurants, bus stops and more. I would highly recommend anyone to stay with Alexis and Mark.
Alexis and Mark were lovely hosts. They were incredibly communicative during the whole process both before and after my stay at their place. The room is cozy, comfortable, and great, especially after the long day I spent at the conference I was attending at Cornell. The bed was comfortable, the room was warm, and welcoming, and the clean towels, bathroom, and linen were impeccable. I particularly found the large bathroom so nice; it allowed for a pleasurable opportunity for getting ready in the morning.
It's location could not have been better - a nice walk to campus, while also being centrally located to the Ithaca commons and the downtown area, not to mention being easily accessible to the bus station which was quite important for me.
I really appreciated this place and would definitely recommend it to friends and family who might be passing through Ithaca and would definitely love to stay there again on my next trip there.
