Such a great experience - Alexis and Mark were super friendly and organised, the house is gorgeous and there were some really nice touches like having the greeting information in an envelope with my name beautifully drawn on it and a jug of drinking water in the room.... access to the coffee machine was also brilliant. Probably the best airbnb experience I've had - Thanks!!
Alexis and Mark are wonderful hosts. Their house is an eclectic mix of curiosities which makes it a fun and comfortable place to be. Alexis and Mark were great at communicating with me before my arrival. Although they were not present when I arrived, I was able to easily get in and get situated. The room was comfortable and welcoming. I really appreciated the Britta water jug and glass - just what you need to help keep hydrated during a cold dry winter! Their generosity and flexibility were notable. I will definitely return if I am headed out that way!
Stayed here for two nights while visiting my daughter at Ithaca College. My room was clean and spacious, as was the bathroom. With the timing of my coming and going, I did not get to meet Alexis and Mark. However, their communication was prompt and professional and I was able to gain access to my room with ease.
My girlfriend and I were staying in Ithaca for just one night in mid-February. Alexis was extremely helpful, ensuring that we would have access to the house regardless of when we arrived and even let us check in a little earlier than planned.
We didn't get much of a chance to chat with Mark and Alexis because of both of our busy schedules, but they were welcoming and warm. Their house is beautiful, centrally located, and parking was easy to find, even during the snowy winter weather. And their dog, Gunny, was a incredibly sweet.
Alexis and Mark were great hosts! They know exactly what their guests need and were very accommodating. I'd definitely stay here again (if only to hang out with their awesome dog!). Thanks!
We had a great stay with Alexis and Mark!
We arrived a little later than expected and the house was easy find and navigate and we had a large comfy bed waiting for us. The house conveniently located close to downtown Ithaca.
I stayed with Alexis and Mark during my trip to Ithaca, NY for an interview at Cornell Johnson and I am very happy that I did. It was very easy to communicate with both of them (they always answered my texts and emails right away). My flight was delayed significantly, but after alerting them of my estimated arrival time, they calmed me down and told me it wouldn't be a problem. After the grueling 13 hour journey, I came home to a beautiful, clean, warm bedroom. I was already very stressed out about my interview but I was pleased to have Alexis and Mark take some of that stress away with their hospitality. I paid $16 dollars for the cab ride from the airport to their home and $6 for the cab ride from their home to Sage Hall (Cornell). Their home is in a very convenient location and the neighborhood is lovely. They have a very friendly dog who doesn't bark when it sees you. I recommend this home to anyone visiting Ithaca! Thank you Alexis and Mark!
