In the heart of historic New England, this bright, comfortable two-bedroom apartment is a perfect part of your carefree trip. Perfect for up to four and located conveniently to neighborhood, local and regional attractions.
Have the entire charmingly furnished apartment to yourself! Bright and airy second floor apartment in historic colonial village. Leave the car at home and walk to numerous fantastic restaurants, shops, market, park and waterfront. The East Bay Bike Path is minutes away, as is a convenient bus stop. With hardwood floors, the apartment has a well-equipped kitchen with dining for 6+. Relax and unwind in the comfortable living room or on the patio in the stunning private garden. Enjoy an evening fire on the patio, or stroll to one of the many excellent restaurants. Sleeping arrangements include a full-sized bed and two twin beds, each with "european-style" bedding (duvet cover acts as top flat sheet and is changed out just like a sheet)
This is a very convenient central location if you are interested in day trips, conventions or parent's weekends. Providence (air, train and bus connections) is a 20 minute drive; Newport 40 minutes; Boston 65 minutes and the Cape 60 -90 minutes. Many colleges are in the area: Roger Williams is a 7 minute drive; Brown, RISD and Johnson & Wales are 20 minutes. RI Hospital, Women & Infants, Butler and VA Hospital, as well as the convention center are also an easy 20 minute drive. Relax in Warren after a hectic day touring, visiting local relatives, at your convention/professional development or settling the kids at their college.
The immediate neighborhood (walkable! Don't even think of using the car!) has antique shops, boutiques, artisans' shops, fine dining, and casual dining. There are also several interesting historic sites.
While not a sleeper sofa, the sofa in the living room is long, wide and comfortable. It is possible for a fifth guest to use this for sleeping.
*We can only accommodate service animals. No pets, please.
A car is not necessary to explore the area: there are several bicycles available for guests' use and the bus stop for the Providence-Newport line (20 minute ride to Providence, 40 minutes to Newport) is two blocks away.
A three-night minimum is required between June 15 to September 1.
Off-street parking for two vehicles
Private garden, patio & fire pit
Interaction with Guests
We are happy to assist/interact/chat as much or as little as you wish; we know that you are not here to see us, so we typically are quite unobtrusive. We live on the first floor with our two elderly cats and elderly dog, and one of us us usually home.
The waterfront village of Warren, Rhode Island is an absolutely delightful place. The historic colonial village is very walkable, and the neighborhood is dotted with many excellent restaurants, antiques shops, boutiques, and several artist's studios and artisan's workshops. The lengthy waterfront is packed with boats of all sorts and pays the perfect compliment to the historic colonial architecture. The village is less than a mile square and surrounded by water, salt marsh and farmland threaded by the bike path.
VERY convenient public transportation is available. The apartment is 1 block from the bus, which passes frequently and terminates in Providence or Newport. From Providence, there are very easy and convenient connections to Amtrak, MBTA trains, regional buses and TF Green Airport.
Also 1 block from the apartment is access to the East Bay bike path which leads to Bristol or Providence.

Beautiful apartment in a quaint location. The area where the apartment is located is very walkable which we utilize to get some delicious crepes just down the street.
While we didn't see much of each other during the actual stay - Sheila had great communication throughout the experience and was prompt with information.
The apartment is beautifully decorated and the owners provide plenty of toiletries, condiments, etc. We would highly recommend this location and apartment!
What a fantastic apartment! We had more space than we were expecting, it was spotless and comfy, overall a great spot to hang out for a week. Too bad the winter lingered there so long...I imagine the yard/garden that you look down into would have been lovely! Thanks again Sheila!
We had an excellent stay in Sheila's apartment! It was very family-friendly which was a huge plus. Well-equipped w/ everything you need (dish soap, sponges, extra pillows & blankets & towels, coffee, butter, kids dvds...just all the little things you need for a great stay!) and pretty much perfectly appointed. Extremely clean and in a beautiful area. We were so happy to meet Sheila and some of her family and we would stay here again and recommend this listing in a heartbeat. Thank you!
We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend at Sheila's place! The entire house was absolutely adorable and everything we needed was provided. The location was perfect: the waterfront, delicious restaurants, cute shops and antique stores were only few blocks away. We would love to be back again during the summer!
Thank you Sheila! As we travel, we have developed a couple of ways by which we judge accommodations: value, the more space the better, comfy beds, and quiet(we tend to sleep in). Well, Historic Warren Village was the best in all regards. Having a homey, spacious apartment rather than a sterile hotel room makes all the difference. Arriving on Christmas day and realizing that no grocery stores would be open, Sheila graciously added us to her Xmas eve shopping list. Savvy travelers headed this way will definitely want to check out this great place.
The Apartment was exactly as advertised. Pictures provided in Airbnb were accurate. Sheila and her husband were very pleasant. We barely saw them the whole week we were there. This place is very charming in a idyllic small New England town. Met all our needs perfectly. We were very pleased and would stay here again without hesitation. (And probably will be staying here again when we visit if it is available)
Highly recommended. The apartment was so well put together and a great place for the amount of time we stayed (3 days 2 nights). Sheila and her husband were lovely and their suggestions of restaurants in the area were spot on. Definitely check it out if you are looking for a quiet, cozy place with 2 or 3 of your closest friends.

Sheila is a teacher, runner, and a gardener. Paul is the planner and thinker in the family. We follow a hybrid-Buddhist philosophy of living and are pretty laid-back. We both love to learn new things, meet new people and try to make the world a better place to live! We've dedicated ourselves to the challenge of self-sustainability, avoiding the use of fossil fuels, and living outside the consumer/mass-production/consumption pipeline (difficult to reconcile against our love of travel!). We love our town and our home and are happy to share what we have.
