The space

Beautiful garden walkway leads you to a newly renovated guest house, with spectacular views from all windows. Wood floors, travertine kitchen counters, full kitchen / frig. and viking stove. Bathroom with Italian glass tile bath/shower and antique vanity with carrera marble. All cotton linens with down pillows and duvet. Antiques through out, with a large walk in closet. The is a queen size Murphy bed in the living room, in addition to the queen size bed in the bedroom.

We are located in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains, with magnificent hiking trails within walking distance. Some say that our little get away is located in the best kept secret in LA. It's private, quiet and tranquil yet only 15 minutes from Pacific Coast Hwy in Malibu and 10 minutes from the 101 freeway.

I had the pleasure of staying at Linda's place for one month. It was a peaceful retreat located 15 min from the beauty of Malibu. The place is set in a backdrop of mountains and flourishing vegetation. Its one of those rare places where you can find yourself in nature, yet with t…

If you are looking in that area, I would highly recommend you to choose Linda’s place. It’s close to major highways, thus easy to get around. There is an alternative route, which is along the hills offering ‘wow’ canyon views. I’m so grateful that Linda opened her secret garden t…

There isn't enough time to describe the wonders of Linda and her Airbnb. This is a fine wood guest house, close to the main house, that manages to be rustic, contemporary, Mediterranean, and just plain COOL. It has an open feel and windows that intimately connect you to the Sa…

Response from Linda:
David, Thank you for such a wonderful review. I'm so happy to know that you all had a perfect vacation and hope that more will follow. I've been an airbnb guest so I know what it feels like to be on the other end. I do my best to be certain that all will be as I would like for myself. If that means organic sheets, towels and food, then that's what I provide. The plants, well, that's just a side perk. I build some very impressive gardens in the LA area, but none inspire quite like my own garden. I'll plant a 50K tree for a quest the same day I might plant a $15 tree for myself and there in lies beauty. best regards, Linda and furry crew

Very cute apartment above a garage. Nice landscaping but difficult stairs to climb, making this a not-so ideal place for anyone with mobility issues. There were definitely mice and a lot of spiders both inside and out, but that's what you get when you're in a mountainous area. Th…

Response from Linda:
Strange is not a strong enough word to describe these guests. 1. You can see photos of my lovely garden walk on my page as well as 4 or 5 years worth of 5 star ratings. I've had 3 guests with physical disabilities stay with me without incident. Lola's boyfriend might have had trouble carrying their fish tank which held the emotional support lizards up the stairs. 2. If I sent multiple texts it is because these folks only responded after telling them I've reached out to Airbnb for help, or called the police. And never a text prior to 8AM. 3. Guest told me they purchased an airstream, but failed to mention they planned on parking it outside of my neighbor's property. They waited until I left town to deliver and park in my quiet neighborhood. Of course my friends and neighbors sent photos almost immediately. It's guests like these that give short term renters a bad name. 4. Actually, it's the other way around. These guests were rude to my friends who are minding my cats while I'm on vacation. 5. I don't know about the mice (indoors) or spiders, but will check with housekeeping. 6. A few other small pets?? See my review and one from host prior to me. What I approved and agreed to was not honored by guests. 7. Random people: housekeepers and a driver who came to bring trash cans down to the road for pick up. 8. If the animals were confined to kennels at night then they must have scratched the floors and walls during the day. Damage claim is for $3,340. Unfortunate for me that I was not up on Airbnb rules. I did in fact ask for a cash deposit and by doing so, I violated Air terms so they denied my claim, even though I called to inform them of all as soon as possible. 9. I don't travel a lot, but I don't close my calendar when when I'm out of town and am not aware of other hosts that do. All is out in the open with my guests as was the case with Lola and her boyfriend.

Out of all the AirBnBs we’ve stayed at, Linda’s place is hands-down the coolest and most comfortable. The location is amazing and serene, the house and property itself is absolutely charming and Linda is an outstanding, friendly and funny host. What a great location, too! We didn…

It’s hard for me to find enough words to explain what a special place this house is. Hike the peaks around it or just stare at them though the panoramic kitchen windows while doing dishes in awe. It’s perfectly laid out and the main bed I slept in is fantastic. Linda is hands d…
