We met one of Elenas friends at the stop on time. The apartment is close to fruit market, supermarket and cafe with wifi. No wifi in the apartment! A bit inconvenient but go get coffee at the cafe and you get free wifi. Room was as described but very small! Bathroom does smell of chlorine as others have said but glad it was clean. Shower very small and the thing that holds it up is broken so you have to hold the head yourself!! We met Elena once in passing, she seemed very nice. Both Windows have bars which you can't see in pics but still open up to a lovely view of the canal. Can't sit out the window though and say write in your journal. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but a bit cramped.
The apartment is on the island and not so far from St.. Marco square. It is clean and private.
Elena was not there and her friend Alexandra was a bit late to join us.
The main problem was that the shower is rusty and it wasn't pleasant to use it. In addition, a very strong smell of chlorine was present all along our stay and it caused us an allergy.
Unforgettable journey in Venice and I've been well informed and well welcomed by Helena's friend.
Thank you again.
This apartment is just ok. Obviously, it's main attraction is a pretty reasonable price among a lot of overpriced accommodations in Venice. That considered, I think, for the money, that it's a good place to stay. Cramped--as seen in the photos--but it is clean and well-located: close to major sights but in a neighborhood that seems less-touristy. The lack of wifi was a big inconvenience for us, as it would be for most travelers. We were expecting her to meet as at the waterbus station, but her assistant met us instead. We only met Elena once in passing, and she was not very friendly, but I understand that people have off-days.
Elena's friend met us on time at the boat station and showed us to the apartment. It was exactly as described, quite small but very cosy. The bedroom windows open out on to the canal which was pretty cool, and the area was nice and quiet. Location was perfect as it was a little bit away from the super touristic side of Venice and felt quite residential even though it was just a short walk to Piazza San Marco. I'd definitely recommend it.
Elena è stata molto gentile e disponibile.
