Writer? Skiier/Snowboarder? Outdoor Adventurist? Or just looking to get away? This cabin is a perfect place for it all. Situated right on the Salmon River, with high-speed internet and all the amenities, this is the perfect place to get away in comfort. Wake-up in the morning to the sound of the river, fire up the espresso machine and head to the mountain for some skiing, or grab a tube from the shed and float the river. Or maybe do some fly-fishing and throw them on the grill for dinner, or put them in the smoker for snacks. When the day is done, open a bottle of wine, grab a book from the bookshelf, and sit by the fireplace. Or make a fire in the outdoor fire pit and make smore's with friends. It's your adventure.
With three bedrooms, 2 queen beds, 2 bunk beds, and a sofa bed out in the living, you can bring your friends and kids. A fully stocked kitchen with chef-grade equipment and a stack of board games will keep you in food and fun. And of course, don't forget your dog. This place is pet friendly - there's even biscuits on top of the fridge for them!
So reserve early, availability is limited, and get away for a bit.
Please no smoking inside.
Take shoes off inside. I'd like to keep the mountain and river outside.
This cabin is beautiful & unique-- we felt right at home and continued to delight in all the various design details all weekend long. Bryan made reserving the cabin extremely easy and quick, and we felt very welcome. I could have sat on that cozy couch and stared at the river for another few days... it was hard to leave!
Wonderful location and awesome decor! Bryan was very prompt in responding and easy to work with. We all agreed that we would definitely stay here again.
The cabin was great. We loved being so close to the river, playing cards by the fireplace, exploring the vintage & eclectic décor, and perusing the 'something for everyone' book collection on display. Bryan was enthusiastic, helpful, and welcoming; and may checking in and out a breeze. The surroundings are peaceful and natural, and the cabin is cozy with plenty of firewood. The mountain is close, there are plenty of restaurants in "Hoodland" (the set of towns along the highway), and if you think you might like hanging in an old-school timber-town bar, you will love the Brightwood Tavern which is about a half mile down the road.
We had a wonderful time at the little Secluded Cabin in the Woods! We selected this place to celebrate my son's 17th birthday. he and several friends had plans to snowboard at Timberline. It was a great location only 30 minutes from the slopes! The cabin is comfortable even for a group of teenagers hanging out with their Mom's. Even though it rained all weekend and they weren't able to snowboard beyond Saturday afternoon they still had fun fishing and checking out the gorgeous area around the cabin on the Salmon River. In fact... we all found it hard to leave Sunday. Thank you Bryan for sharing your little piece of paradise with us!
This cabin is awesome. It is exactly like the photos. Bryan is the perfect host. Extremely responsive and helpful. The location is serene and energizing. I live in LA and was seeking a break from the madness. This pace was the cure for sure. I highly recommend this is you want something really special. Take your warm clothes if you're going in Autumn or winter as it does get chilly out there but the area is stunning.
I rented Bryan's cabin for a weekend getaway with a group of friends (8 ppl + 1 dog). It was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. The location cannot be beat - on the river and secluded, but with easy access to necessities and local attractions. We had a wonderful time fishing in the river, cooking big, delicious meals in the kitchen and just relaxing and taking in the beautiful scenery.
Bryan was a great host - the house was clean and well stocked (including dog treats, board games and a great selection of books) and the manual he provided was very helpful.
We do this trip annually with our friends and are already talking about coming back again next year!
The cabin in the woods was an overall wonderful experience. We had so much fun watching our dogs play in the river, attempting to fish, and just sitting around the fireplace at night. The cabin is a cute 70s retro-style home with vintage-y decor. The deck has been redone since these photos were taken. Bryan was extremely accommodating and promptly answered all of my messages. We would love to come back again and stay longer next time!
