Sunny, spacious, three-bedroom home on 95 acres near Elkhart Lake, WI. Five minutes from the heart of the village. Ten minutes from Road America.
Get away from it all in my quiet and very private country home near Elkhart Lake, WI.
You'll be minutes away from Road America, the beautiful Kettle Moraine State Forest, the Sheboygan Marsh and lookout tower, a public beach, world famous golf courses (two PGA Women's Open tournaments were held in nearby Kohler), a thriving nightclub scene, and some amazing restaurants.
We are only minutes away from Greenbush, a trailhead site for some of the most breathtaking cross-country ski trails in Wisconsin. There's something for beginners and veteran skiers alike.
A well-groomed snowmobile trail (Northern Kettle Moraine-Corridor 3) is even more convenient. You can access it right from our driveway, as it curves through the northern part of our property. about a quarter mile from the house.
My beautiful, three-bedroom home sits on a rural five-acre lot surrounded by farm fields and and forests. There are only three other homes in the vicinity, and none of them are within shouting distance. The only creatures you'll see out the windows are deer, sand-hill cranes, turkeys and the occasional fox or owl.
The home has three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, three-car garage, a full basement with washer & dryer, fully equipped kitchen with granite counters and Keurig Coffee Maker, two TVs with satellite (Dish), wireless Internet, and a beautiful loft overlooking the living room. Outside, there is plenty of space for walking, wildlife watching, or meditating. There is also a fire circle in the yard for that perfect evening gathering.

Nanette and family maintain a warm and inviting home that we used recently while attending a club event at Road America. It was close to the track (10 min) and lovely downtown Elkhart Lake, yet secluded and quiet. Everything was perfect for our stay - I highly recommend their home for your next stay.
Nanette was a gracious host! Our group felt very welcome the moment we walked in the door. The home was spacious, the AC worked great (It was very hot outside during our stay!), and it was very convenient in relation to Road America. The kitchen was useful for cooking breakfast every morning, and the washer and dryer were made available if needed.
We loved that Nanette and her husband chopped firewood for us. That was a nice touch and we enjoyed relaxing outside in the country by the fire after a long day at the track.
Overall, this home was in a great location, and was large enough for our group. We had 6 adults and there was enough space for all. We did not spend a lot of time at the house as most days were spent at the track, but when we were there, everything that we needed was available. My one suggestion is to make sure the beds are what you need. While this is a 3 bedroom home, there was only one queen bet, and the othere were either single or trundle. Not real condusive to a goup of couples. The host made every attempt to be accommodating, by supplying additional portable beds, but just make sure it suits your needs. Wonderful house for a family.
We did have an issue with a hot water heater and the hosts were there immediately to take care of it.
The house is well stocked, well laid out and close to the race track. Saw wild animals and the stars were beautiful. I would recommend this house, especially for families.
Nanette's home was exactly as described and was a perfect spot for myself and two of my team to stay for a work weekend at Road America, which was only 10 minutes away. While it IS a country home quietly tucked away from everything, it has all the comforts we needed including more than adequate wireless internet throughout the house which lived up to our standards and allowed us to get our work done.
Also, she was a perfect host! Worked with us through our travel delays, recommended travel routes and a breakfast spot, basically treated us like family (in a good way!). Her husband had prepared some wood for us to use in their fire circle which was an unexpected nice touch. She even helped us out when I stupidly locked ourselves out right before check-out. We'll definitely be coming back here when we're in the area!
We're a farm family with a second home that doesn't get nearly enough use. My husband runs a dairy farm and I'm a librarian who teaches information literacy at a small college in Milwaukee.
Elkhart Lake is a fantastic vacation spot. Small-town friendliness meets cosmopolitan culture. I've lived here 18 years and still love it as much as when I first moved here.
I love hosting. I've met some great people in the two years I've been doing this. I like to meet my guests personally, and I always go out of my way to ensure that they have a relaxing, comfortable visit. My family and I live just down the road, so if anything goes wrong, we can get there quickly.
