We have a double room available in our beautiful 'Queenslander' style wooden house.
Our house is decorated in a mix of antique and retro styles, complimented by treasures from our travels around the world. The available room has a double bed, large wardrobe, fan, air conditioner and desk. The house is spacious, and guests have access to a modern kitchen and bathroom, lounge (with TV & DVD), dining room, sun room, a large wooden deck and a tropical garden. We don't have any pets.
We are located close to town, but in a quiet, leafy residential street. It's 2.1 km (15-20 min walk) to the centre of the CBD, 1.5 km to Cairns Central (a large shopping centre), and 2.5 km to the lagoon and boat terminal to the reef. We are also close to the botanical gardens and the local farmer's market.
We are Cairns locals and are happy to share our local knowledge and home with you. We can point you to the best bars, cafes, music, restaurants, attractions and natural beauty Cairns has to offer!
Me and my friend stayed here for 3days. It was clean room with cute and colorful Interior. India let us use the kitchen and we enjoyed cooking. From the kitchen window, I saw many birds and beautiful garden. India and Jesse were very friendly nice host. If we come to Cairns again, we want to stay here again!
A really lovely and warm place to live. The room is clean and air-conditioned，it makes us feel comfortable.
India and Jesse are friendly and enthusiastic，we are enjoyed the 4 days living with them！
We can walk to the city center in 20min，and the neighbour is very quiet and beautiful.
Both of us will miss this place and look forward the next time meeting.
India and her partner are really friendly hosts. The house and our room was clean and organized. Close to the city, but in a peaceful neighbourhood. India told us some information about interesting places to see, and where to go to eat. We really enjoyed the stay!
My adventure in Cairns was great and staying with India made it perfect! Her apartment felt like home. Her partner was kind and helpful. India let me use her phone a few times and gave me tips on where to go and what to do. The apartment was easy to find and India provided me with a stack of maps in case I needed one. I walked into town numerous times and its about a 15-20 minute walk. It's also easy to find a taxi if you prefer getting around that way. I really loved staying in Cairns and I would definitely recommend staying with India if you're in the area!
The house was great place to stay and had everything you could need. India was away but her partner Jesse, was great, informing us how to get around Cairns and places to visit, even trying to help us out on our technology problems, us being technophobes. We really enjoyed our 4 night stay and would highly recommend you check out their place!
India and Jesse were pleasant and accommodating hosts.Their house is a half hour walk from the Esplanade. The bedroom was clean and air conditioned, however, the location of the bathroom meant accessing it through the dining room and kitchen which we found a bit awkward. Nonetheless we enjoyed our stay in Cairns.
Lovely room in a quiet neighbourhood about 20 mins walk from Cairns town centre.
India was a great host, and I would totally recommend her and her accommodation.
I had a very pleasant stay with India in Cairns. My room was neat, clean and air-conditioned. India and her partner, Jesse, were warm and welcoming. The house, as promised was close to Cairns city center. As an added bonus India drove me to the airport.
India and Jessy have been very nice hosts during our short stay in cairns. We clearly had the impression that their home is furnished with love for moments of peace and harmony in nice atmosphere. We had a warm welcome when we arrived and felt really confortable during our whole stay with our great hosts. Thus, we can highly recommend staying at their place for a trip to Cairns. Unfortunatly we spend only two nights in Cairns before our journey continued. Otherwise we are sure India and Jessy would have given us even more useful tips for exploring the area.
Best, Albert & Hannah
India and Jesse were welcoming hosts who shared local knowledge and gave suggestions of things to do. It is about a 20-minute walk to the edge of the CBD. Their home is full of natural light, and a lovely place to stay. I enjoyed my time there very much.
