20 minutes from Notre Dame, St Mary's, Holy Cross and Bethel Colleges. Whether you are coming to bring a student or for a football game we are just 5 minutes from the US 31/US20 exit -you can reach us easily without a lot of in-town driving if you choose. Since we are south of the campus you avoid a lot of the post game traffic, most of which heads north. Each room will accommodate 2 persons. Built on a knoll, we took advantage of the natural terrain and left most of our lot untouched when we built our house -a friend even told us "I feel as if I am in a tree house when I visit you!" We have a pond and you will probably see deer when you visit, too. You will feel as if you are far from the city hubbub, but actually be close enough to take advantage of all of the opportunities. There is a large shopping center within a 5 minute drive, along with a number of 24 hour businesses: restaurants, grocery stores and gas stations. Nearby restaurants include: BW3, Applebee's, Pizza Hut, Texas Roadhouse, Logan's, Culver's, Steak and Shake and many local restaurants, all only 5 minutes away. We have some amazing 18 hole golf courses, including a Jack Nicklaus Signature Design course, within easy driving distance as well as a par 3- 9 hole course. . The Studebaker Museum is only 10 minutes away. And of course Lake Michigan with sandy beaches, fishing charters, boat launches and the Dunes National Lakeshore is less than 45 minutes from us.
Whole house wi-fi. Room has a TV with OTA channels.
See my other review of the same date (we had two rooms and thus two reservations).
Attended the ND vs Michigan game. Patty and her husband were wonderful hosts! We especially enjoyed the get together with the rest of the guests the evening before the game. Would definitely stay again next time we"re in town!
We had a wonderful time with Rick and Patty. They were great hosts and very good cooks. Their house is amazing and our room was cozy and comfortable.
Patty and Rick are so kind and hospitable. The location while it feels like being in the country was an easy drive to Notre Dame and has nearby restaurants a quick drive by car. This is not like staying in a hotel, this is a friendly stay in a comfortable lived in home with perfect hosts.
We had a bit of a crazy schedule but with understanding and support Rick and Patty made the details work! It was a great weekend stay!
Staying with Patty and Rick was so wonderful! They were the most accommodating hosts I could have asked for. I was in town for a Notre Dame game, and the morning after the game they made me the most delicious breakfast ever!!! My stay was more like a bed and breakfast than just a place to sleep...Rick showed me around the property because he built most of it, they fed me breakfast and dinner, and I enjoyed talking with them. I would definitely stay here again.
