Great Natural Beauty, Culture, Outdoor Activities and Easy Highway Access

Charming house situated on 4 lovingly-landscaped acres with abutting woods, nestled on a quiet country road. Relax in a spacious, comfortable house while staying in your own private room with a private bathroom (which has a bathtub, shower, heat lamp and an adjoining room with toilet and sink.)

Take advantage of our fully equipped home with hardwood floors, a sun-drenched porch, a warming fireplace, spinet piano, several select libraries, and an open "great room".

Marvel at colorful multiple-type gardens, fruit trees and shrubs, mature woods, deck, hammock, two gas grills and fire pit, outside. Swing on the bench at our small private pond, hidden away in our woods, and, in season, celebrate nature by listening to chorus-like peepers, chirping wood frogs and night owls.

Two and a half hours from Boston and New York City with easy access to the Mass Pike and the Taconic Parkway. Within 20-40 miles of all that the Berkshires, Hudson Valley and the Capitol Region have to offer.

You are close to:
Museums: Norman Rockwell, Clark Art, Mass MOCA and more.
Theater: Williamstown Theater Festival, Berkshire Theater Festival, Barrington Stage and many smaller companies...
Music: Tanglewood, SPAC and numerous smaller venues...
Dance: Jacob's Pillow stands out among others..
Skiing: Jiminy Peak, Catamount, Butternut Basin, Bosquet, and more...
Other: Kripalu, Apple orchards, wineries...
Hiking, biking, boating, adventure parks, and of course, simply appreciating the scenic beauty.

INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL IS A PASS TO A PRIVATE SANDY BEACH ON BEAUTIFUL QUEECHY LAKE (along with lifeguards, swimming, picnic tables, dock, boating and fishing), which is 3 miles away.

There are two private first-floor rooms available for guests that can accommodate up to three adults each. One must rent each room separately.

My "Serene Beautiful Berkshire Setting" listing has a private adjoining bathroom with a futon double bed and a bunk bed on top.

My "Peaceful Secluded Berkshire Setting" listing has a pillow-top double bed mattress with the first floor bathroom very close by.

With either bedroom choice, the bathroom will be for your private use, since our bathroom is upstairs. Your bathroom has a separate shower, tub, heat lamp, exhaust fan, and an adjoining room with toilet and sink.

There are foam mattresses and blow-up mattresses available for either room. Both rooms have hard wood floors, new windows, dressers and closet space.

The house is home to two beautiful cats. I have had people stay in the house who are allergic to cats, but with their basic medication have done fine. The house is meticulously cleaned and vacuumed before any rentals, but if anyone in your party is super allergic to cats, they may react to some of the dander inherent in a house where cats live.

Guest Access

Unlimited use of entire first floor with private bathroom. Cook breakfast, store goods in refrigerator, make some tea, relax in grand open room, build a fire, play the spinet piano, or browse our extensive libraries. Enjoy our backyard, patio area, fire pit. Walk in our woods or sit on the bench at our pond. Free parking.

Interaction with Guests

We live here, so we always try to greet our guests in person upon arrival and departure, in addition to our phone calls and emails before arrival. We often make breakfast for our guests and enjoy chatting over a cup of tea or after our guests return from their adventures.

The Neighborhood

Pleasingly quiet and secluded, yet fairly close to neighbors in our rural setting. We enjoy watching and listening to the birds at our feeders, noticing the deer and turkeys traveling through our yard and woods, listening to the seasonal serenade of the frogs peeping, and the owls hooting. Go outside and enjoy nature- it's at your service.

Getting around

Free parking on site. A vehicle is needed to get around in our rural area. Use our bikes, canoe or kayak for recreational travel!

  • We just completed our second stay as Becky & Bob's guests and, if anything, it was more pleasant and fun than our first! The rooms are clean and comfy and B. & B. are so easygoing and friendly that it's like visiting old friends, which I guess by now they are! So if you want to stay in a lovely old home with beautiful grounds, hosted by wonderful people, you couldn't do better than to stay at B. & B.'s Berkshire home.

  • My girlfriend and I had a splendid time as guests in Rebecca's home. She was a lovely host, and accommodation to all of our needs. Definitely take her up on dinner, she is a great cook. She even helped us find a great place to go hiking.

  • I join the many fans of Becky's cozy and welcoming Berkshire home, delightfully buried in the woods - a winter wonderland when I arrived. Secluded but easy to find and there is ready access to all the popular Area sites, a quick 20 minute trip to Kripalu, which was my weekend target. Becky and Bob are warm and accommating hosts, happy to organize around your schedule and u'r holiday needs. Solid and comfortable beds and a private full bath and shower round out the perks, making it an ideal holiday home.

  • Rebecca and Bob offer a sweet, cozy, beautiful home for AirBnB guests. They are open hearted and interested in their guests and full of good information about the house and the area. There are beautiful views out every window and a glorious bathtub in a bathroom paneled with gorgeous wood and views out every window. We would come back in a flash.

  • Becky and Bob are awesome! I felt like I was staying with extended family or longtime friends instead of in the home of strangers. They are so friendly and sweet. The room was comfortable, and homey, and they had everything I needed. It was a wonderful experience in a beautiful setting. I hope to stay there again when I am in the area.

  • This was our first Airbnb experience and it was great. The house is very cozy and Becky and Bob are wonderful hosts. They were very helpful and pointed out some great places to visit in the area (Mass MoCA!!!). Becky made us American breakfast, too, which we thought was great.

  • Becky and Bob are excellent hosts at their beautiful Berkshire bed and breakfast. My boyfriend and I followed their directions from the Mass Pike and arrived with enough time to have a nice conversation with the two. They recommended we have a picnic dinner while at Tanglewood (where we went to see NPR's "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me"), which was a wonderful idea. We had a great night's sleep on a comfy bed. As my first airbnb experience, I was happily surprised by Becky's offer of breakfast. I'm still dreaming of her garlic eggs! Becky and Bob suggested we climb the local Fire Tower (about a 5-10 minute drive from the house), which gave an amazing view of the Berkshires. We then continued on to the Norman Rockwell Museum before heading home. Overall, it was a great stay and the house was beautiful. We would love to visit again.

  • I was in town for my niece's wedding...amazing that I found this lovely place to stay only 5 minutes away. Because it gets REALLY dark at night on the smaller roads, I did a test run in the daytime to bring my suitcase. Rebecca was called out of town but Bob welcomed me as the previous guests were leaving. I chose the front room near the bathroom, and left the windows open at night to hear the amazing sounds of crickets and peepers (frogs) in the lush yard. Had a lovely breakfast before heading out in the morning. I feel very lucky to have found such a nice comfy and convenient place. Would definitely recommend to others, individuals, couples, groups. Very accommodating.

I am a retired elementary school teacher with grown children who live in NYC. My home is available as a B and B or as a full house rental. I love hostessing and sharing my home with others. I love making people feel comfortable and helping them take advantage of this area. I have spent much of my life traveling. I have spent a year in Mexico and Guatemala and a year in Ecuador. I have traveled to most of the US states, to Europe and Israel. I hope to get to Africa and Asia before I die. I usually stay at hostels because I enjoy meeting other people. In another life I would like to run a youth hostel. This could be the next best thing. I am an outdoor enthusiast and particularly like hiking, swimming, bicycling, kayaking and gardening. When I am feeling down, it is usually because I haven't had enough time outdoors. I play the clarinet with the Eagles Band in Pittsfield, Ma. I have lived in this home for 30 years. I currently live with my boyfriend and 2 cats. Presently I work for the Berkshire Immigrant Center and for Common Good Finance, an organization creating an alternative, local economy.
