Cute + private bedroom in Brooklyn

Apartment - Private room · 6th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11217, United States

The Space

Private room in an apartment right on the Prospect Heights and Park Slope border. Full (and very clean!) kitchen and bathroom. WiFi throughout the apartment, of course. Clean, cozy, and warm apartment that's great as a home base for New York adventures or a place of respite safe from them. Fresh sheets, towels, and all that good stuff.

Once we meet so you can get in feel to come and go whenever you like/whatever your schedule requires. Welcomed to just use the bedroom, sit on the couch and watch a movie, or use the kitchen.

One block from the 2/3 train, two blocks from the D/N/R/B/Q/4/5, three blocks from the C/G, you can get anywhere in the the city very conveniently. Short walk to the lovely Grand Army Plaza, Prospect Park, Brooklyn Museum, BAM, etc. Lots of great restaurants and bars in all directions, from fancy schmancy to laid back (and more economical, which is where you'll usually find me) and everything in between.

Directly across the street from the Barclays Center, so perfect if your in town for a concert/game/whatever.

No smoking please.

  • Daniel and Virginia were superb hosts. Super accommodating. Their apartment was always warm (visited during freezing temperatures), cozy, and located in a perfect spot for zipping around Brooklyn/Manhattan. I can't recommend staying with them enough.

  • i had a fantastic stay with Daniel and Virginia. They were totally accommodating and their apartment was ridiculously well located! I travelled back and forth from Manhattan and never had ANY trouble getting home. The room was really spacey and the apartment was cosy. Daniel was extremely flexible with regards to my arrival and departure times, and when i accidentally locked things in my room, he swiftly solved the situation for me. Would definitely return and will recommend the apartment to my friends.

  • Daniel & Virginia were fantastic hosts! They have a great spot in Brooklyn that is EXTREMELY convenient to get to from the airport and also to get into the city.

The room was clean, the apartment was clean, Daniel even made cookies! Had a great stay there and would gladly return next time I'm in New York.

The neighborhood is great, too. I recommend going to The Hungry Ghost for coffee and Antonio's Pizza for good Pizza.

  • Great place, friendly host. There's plenty of transport links close by and a nice restaurant directly opposite the building.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I were back in New York.

  • My girlfriend and I had a couple of great days in Daniel's appartment. It was the first room we rented through airbnb, but it definitely won't be the last. Daniel and his girlfriend where excellent hosts, and I can definitely recommend others to stay with them. They made sure we felt right at home and where very helpful with recommendations etc.

  • We had only a short stay but Daniel's place was exactly what we needed, a cozy place in a great location in Brooklyn. We were very happy.

  • Daniel's place was great. I stayed for just one night, but I'd definitely stay here again on a longer trip. Daniel's communication before, during, and after my stay was great. Additionally, the guidebook he's created is a super useful resource for awesome restaurants, coffee shops, etc. in the neighborhood. The apartment itself was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend!

  • Dan and Virginia have a convenient apartment close to subway lines and I was able to rent a room for one night at the last minute. It works. The air bed was not a problem. The hosts were very helpful and I look forward to the convenience of future stays.

  • I made this booking at the last minute for my son who was looking for an apartment. My son appreciated the room and having a nice, comfortable, private place to go home to after work. It was a very welcome relief at a stressful time! Thank you Daniel!

About
Work in Manhattan but live in Brooklyn with the girlfriend. Work in architecture and urbanism but promise not to rant too much about either. We found an awesome apartment and enjoy sharing it with nice people. Don't mind if you just get in late and crash for the night, or spend the day chilling, happy to host you in Brooklyn for whatever reason you're here. Proud Miami native, with four years in DC before settling in New York two years ago. Life theory: There are two things that have the power to touch the soul and transport you to something beyond yourself like no others: music and food. And for another cliche thing to love, a good book is better than most other things.
