The Space

Comfortable 2-bedroom apartment (2 double beds, sleeps up to six people with a comfortable pull-out sofa in the living room, possibility of kiddie bed) in Rome south east side in a very trendy area. 5 minutes by bike to Cinecità, 20 minutes by bike to the centre. Supermarkets, restaurants and bars are only 50 yards away, as is public transport metro A porta Furba Quadraro which will take you to the city centre in 10 minutes if you do not feel like cycling ;-)
The neighborhood is child friendly, with a big park and playgarden nearby. It is a residential area, really close to everything, but far enough away to be very peaceful and relaxing. During the day it is nicely crowded whereas at night, you will not find yourself alone in the streets, but will not be bothered by noise from the bars which are far away enough to have a good sleep.
We love to give our guests all the information you need about the city, and have a lot of little restaurant and bars to recommend you. We live nearby and will be available throughout your stay for anything.

  • Staying at Fabio's was great! He will help whenever he can and the place was clean and you still had your own privacy. Fabio even picked us up from the metro station when we needed it. It is not too far from the center of Rome, about 20 minutes once you get to the metro and a 5 min walk to the metro. I would definitely recommend staying at his place.

  • Stay at Fabio's apartment was great, we felt like in our own home. It was clean, nice and comfortable. Located very close to the metro station- it helped to get to the city centre.
Fabio was very helpful and nice! We could ask him for help everytime we wanted to. I surely recommend him as a host! :)

  • The apartment was fine, with everything you need for a short or longer stay. Everything worked and we didn't have any problems. Fabio was as well a good host, helpful and gave us some tips on the way.

  • el departamento es amplio y comodo, en metro se puede llegar facilmente a todos los puntos turisticos de la ciudad de roma.

  • The apartment is a good value. Quite far from the city but really close to the Metro line. It was really hot when we were there, but it was July, so that's not unexpected, but there was no AC and no fans. Fabio was really responsive and accommodating, so we had a good experience!

  • Fabio was a very welcoming host. He was happy to pick us up at the train station late at night and drive us to the flat, while recommending us a nice restaurant in the neighborhood.
The flat is good value for money, and a 5-10 minute walk from a Metro station. The neighborhood is quiet and pretty. The furnishings aren't fancy, but everything works well and is comfortable!

  • The apartment is exactly as described. This was our first time sharing with someone. Fabio was very nice, attentive and provided all necessary things for a comfortable stay. He cleaned the apartment but the cleanliness depends on the other tenants you live with. Nothing bad to say about the place, it was fine if you are used to share with others.

  • Fabio's place is an excellent option for the price, as it's about a 10 minute walk from a metro station (I walk pretty slowly). You'll have to switch lines to go to the Colosseum, but all the other big stuff (Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, Vatican City) is on the same line. We didn't really make use of the apt, we spent all day every day in the city center, and just came back to crash- and for that it was perfect. The shower head was kind of broken and would shoot out water, and since there's no shower curtain you'll have to be careful not to get water everywhere. Also, it gets cold pretty quickly, so maybe allow some time between showers for it to warm back up.

Fabio picked us up from the airport since our flight got in at midnight, and dropped us back off for a small fee, which was super convenient. He also left us some bikes, but Rome isn't not bike-friendly at all, so we ended up not using them.

I would have liked a copy of a map (handwritten or whatever) to get to the metro (it's not complicated at all, but we still managed to get lost), and maybe a poster map of Rome in the apartment to get an idea of where you're going and how (since Fabio doesn't actually live there so you can't just ask). Maybe print out a map of the area before you leave home?

In general, comfortable place to stay for a good price, not to far from the city center, and well-connected to public transportation. We recommend it!

    Response from Fabio:

Robyn is a great guest, anyway doesn't use properly the apt:
    - in the bathroom there are two switch off, one for the light and one for the water boiler, sometime guests mistake and switch off the boiler instead the light so there is no hot water in few hours
    - for the shower head you should have told to me I substitute it for 2.50 euro and now everything is working
    - for the Roma copy map I left a big one in the apt but disappear last month and to rech the metro A station it is enough to have a look to (website hidden) maps and in the direction I give to the guest I provide a detailed explanation about the way to reach the apt
