Welcome! You will stay in a private studio apartment on the ground floor of my homestead, a stones throw from Craftsbury Common. The studio gets lots of natural light and has views of a meadow and Mt. Mansfield. The Catamount Ski Trail runs past the house. Private parking and entry.
One double bed, en-suite bathroom, kitchenette, covered porch, slate tile throughout, radiant heat, new construction. Wi-Fi and local phone. Pet friendly - dogs love the meadow and the small pond.
A very short walk to the Craftsbury Public Library, Sterling College, the Art House, and Craftsbury Academy, and a short drive (or ski!) to the Craftsbury Outdoor Center. Hill Farmstead Brewery is close by, and you can also fill your growlers with beer at the Craftsbury General Store. This studio is convenient to village amenities with rural privacy - the perfect Vermont balance.

There's no public transport in the area, but with enough advance notice I may be able to arrange transport from Burlington Airport.

Right from the start Tim was a terrific host. He was prompt with communication and eager to assist in any way with our vacation. We arrived on January 1st and were welcomed by Tim, Wilson and Lucy. The studio apartment was clean and efficient. Even though the temperatures were below zero the apartment was warm and cozy with a wonderful view of Vermont Mountains and winter sunsets. We enjoyed the miles of x=country ski trails along with making many new Vermont friends, shopping at the general store, touring Sterling College, visiting the local library and hearing some great music at the local Music Box. With all the snow and ice Tim had sand brought in to ensure our safety and had the driveway plowed. I must say we never have seen stars like the stars present in the Vermont ski in January! We plan to return this summer to enjoy Craftsbury VT in July!
Tim is a very generous and gracious host. My wife and I enjoyed meeting him and receiving his hospitality. He really loves his town of Craftsbury and is willing to share information with you about it if you want it, which we really appreciated. The small town of Craftsbury is very charming! We had a great time meeting some of the locals at the general store. We felt very welcome there. All in all, we had a great time! Tim's place was cozy, comfortable and has a great view!
Tim's place was an ideal location for us to enjoy the area - right near the skiing at Craftsbury Outdoor Center. And close enough to our favorite pizza place in West Glover. Enjoyed the self-contained space with minimal kitchen. Wonderful open views through the windows facing west. We also enjoyed Wilson the dog and Lucy the cat.
Tim was very helpful with suggestions for the area and welcomed us with warm tea and conversation.
We enjoyed our stay in Craftsbury Common very much. Tim was a gracious host during the ice storm of 2013. We used the studio as a base to tour the Northeast Kingdom including the capitol Montpelier, the Craftsbury Outdoor Center and the United Church of Craftsbury. Thanks for hosting us Tim.
What a stunning little corner of paradise. Unfortunately for us, we were only able to stay overnight as we explored this corner of Vermont. Tim's studio is awesome, what an amazing view, you feel like you are in your own private little outpost. Sunset must be incredible (cloudy for us), but sunrise was amazing! Thanks, Tim.
Wow! This place has the best view you could ever hope to have. We really enjoyed staying at Tim's place, and he was a great host. We look forward to returning here soon!
Tim's Craftsbury studio is the ideal spot for a Vermont getaway. The view from the front door is breathtaking and one-of-a-kind; if you've ever wanted to sit in an adirondack chair and watch the sun set over Vermont's green mountains, this is the spot for you. Despite the house's secluded location, there's plenty nearby. The town's general store has an amazingly well-curated selection of local produce, cheeses, breads and beers at fair prices and the much talked-about Hill Farmstead brewery is just a half hour drive away. If you're looking for rural charm, you'll find walking trails, a working farm and a well-manicured common just steps from the front door. Tim is friendly, laid back and extremely knowledgeable about the area. He recommended a great hike to us and even offered to take us to his favorite swimming hole--an offer we hope to take him up on when we return!
We had a wonderful time at Tim's studio. Tim welcomes you like a friend and has lots of good advice on what to do, where to eat or buy food etc. The studio is perfectly private, you even have your own parking spot. Everything was very straightforward and the view even from your bed is simply spectacular. I suggest enjoying the sunset on the porch with a good Vermont brew. Highly recommended!
Tim (apparently known as the "mayor" of Craftsbury Common) is an exceptional host. Friendly, knowledgable, and happy to show you around town and point you to the the many attractions of the Kingdom. The studio has an amazing view, stays relatively cool in the summer, and is well equipped.
Great stay ! Tim's place has a great serene view and is in a small quaint town that seems to have everything. We would stay again . Tim even gave us a tour of the area and took us swimming. He knows Vermont not just the area..
