Small top floor apartment in the heart of the Recoleta neighborhood. The apartment consists of two small rooms; a bedroom and a combined kitchen/living room. The apartment's balcony is accesible from both rooms.
The unit is in modern condition and furnished minimalistly. As the apartment is the one and only unit on the top floor, it is a notably quite space, in an otherwise very noisy city. Please note though that as the apartment is on the 7th and last floor and the elevator only reaches the 6th floor, guests will have to walk the final stairs.
The apartment is located in the center of the Recoleta neighborhood, just a few blocks away from tourist attractions such as the Recoleta Cemetery; while also having easy access to the downtown district as well as the Palermo area.
One month + stays are encouraged and could depending on season be subject to special offers.
If the calendar shows the apartment as available, feel free to make a reservation without inquiring about availability.
UPDATE: September 15 2012
There is a new construction going on across the street from my apartment. Thus, during work hours tenants should be aware that there may be more noise than what is normally the case.

Nice, light appartment in a residential neighbouthood nearby some good restaurants.
A wonderful place to stay for 3 months and the apartment is as nice, clean, quiet, and bright as advertised. The construction across the street finished before I arrived and traffic is minimal on this street so it is as quiet as they come in BA which was great for studying. The internet is as fast as I am accustomed to back home. The balcony is rated highly for BA even by argentinian guests.
Plenty of shops/restaurants nearby, and a clean-friendly neighborhood.
Laura and Marcus are responsive and attentive hosts! Very friendly! For example, when the switch to the water heater burned out, they had it fixed that day - Laura's mother going well beyond the call of duty to ensure it. Otherwise I was left to my own devices and my privacy respected. Would recommend this apartment to friends and family.
Thank you Laura and Marcus!
This little, quite and bright apartment in the middle of secure Recoleta is very good for a short summer vacation trip. Laura and her family make you feel welcome and are open for needs etc.
I did stay over the winter and for 2 1/2 month. Would not recommend that since the Buenos Aires buildings are not super high tech (isolation is missing).
However, I felt home and enjoyed my time and I do think it is the best spot to explore the city since it is in between Palermo and San Telmo.
This is a fine apartment for short term stays. It is in a wonderful area with everything you need within a few minutes walking distance. Markets, dining, laundry, pharmacy etc. It is quiet on the weekend and in time will be a truly quiet place. At the moment though I might be somewhat hesitant in booking a long term stay, at least for several months. The construction project across the street should be finished by then.
I do think that by the time it begins to warm up again, if Marcus follows through on some rather simple improvements, it should be fine for long term stays during the "high season".
My experience there is probably somewhat unusual as I worked in the apartment all day, and I suspect that most people do not come here to sit in their apartment all day. They are out seeing the sights or doing something else that is interesting. So for me it was pretty noisy.
Sofia, sister-in-law to Marcus, was a great help to me. She is a very busy professional woman and I always felt rather guilty calling her to fix an issue. The entire family was very kind and very helpful and I appreciate their help. This is another aspect of staying in Argentina in that if you do not speak the language you are bound to have issue's that only an English speaking person can resolve, assuming you speak English.
It is good that Marcus and Laura were here to stay in the apartment themselves and I hope to give them some guidance on being landlords from a distance and also how they might resolve some of the issue's that are troublesome at the apartment. Issue's that you will find at any building in the area, they are simply endemic to Buenos Aires buildings.
Fantastic little apartment in the excellent location in the elegant Recoleta neighborhood of BA. The apartment itself is very cute, very clean and has everything one would need to live (let alone for a short stay). The flat is conveniently located so you can walk to many of the city's sites and restaurants. It is easy to catch a cab at any time of day or night. I loved local coffee shops, browsing the fancy shops as well as sight seeing. Fantastic stay in BA, I just hope to be able to come back in the future.
We spent 40 days in the apartment and it was wonderful. The apartment is excellent and very well located. Marcus wasn't in Argentina at the time, but his girlfriend's parents went there to welcome us and show us around, they were very helpful and kind. The entire experience was really great.
A very good apartment. I stayed with my wife and we loved the stay. The neighbourhood is excellent and its close to a big avenue with great access to many services. The proprietary is a great person, very careful with his guests. I recomend it to everyone.
I was a bit nervous about my trip since I had never used airbnb before. However, the apartment was everything it was advertised as and more. The location was great, the apartment was clean and comfortable, and I felt very safe. Marcus and Silvia were great about responding promptly and making sure I had everything I needed. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
We had a great time on the appartment, the place is warm, in a great location, very well designed, it's exactly what you see on the pictures. Yhe owners are very nice people, they took care of every need.
I had a really nice stay in this flat! The location is very convenient and I felt comfortable during the 2 months I was there. The kitchen is rather small, but suited my needs well enough. Marcus and his girlfriend's parents (who met me at the flat since he wasn't in Argentina at that time) were really helpful and friendly all the time, they were great hosts! The only thing that bothered me a bit was the noise from the construction site across the road, but if you don't plan on spending a lot of time in the flat (which you shouldn't because there's so much to do and see in Buenos Aires) that shouldn't be a problem. At night it's very, very quiet. I'd definitely recommend this flat!
