Spend your well-earned vacation in a smart, bright and newly refurbished studio apartment housed within the traditional London Town house, just moments away from the most famous market in the world!
Please do note, this is not a massive apartment, (350 square feet approximately) but it is indeed a great, budget friendly option when booking for 5 or 6 guests, and it offers an entirely private, smart space complete with private shower room and kitchen in one of the most beautiful, expensive and sought after London locations.
Complete with traditional Georgian sash windows, washer/dryer, shower room and an extra fold-down double bed, it can sleep up to four easily.
It's worth mentioning that as these are Georgian windows - this is traditional, listed Georgian Central London building folks! - which means no unslightly double glazing!
On your arrival, the wall bed will be pulled down and set up ready for sleeping, but you are very welcome to push it back up and remake it into a sofa!
Being on the 3rd floor offers a wonderful view of London life, although please note, it has no lift, but will certainly keep you fit!
Perfectly positioned, Kensington Palace & Gardens is a short walk away, (the other side of which is the one and only Harrods); the nearest tube station is only 7 minutes walk away and the fabulous tea rooms, cafés and restaurants of Westbourne Grove are only one street away!

Perfect budget friendly accomodation for those of you looking to book for 5 or 6 guests, with two fold away single beds, which can be swiftly tucked away during the day - along with the double sofa bed - so great for a larger family looking for an economical alternative to an expensive hotel family room - or has it has often been used, as a great nook for a group of friends on a budget, getting ready altogether for a big London night out!
Check out is at 10am, and check in time runs from 12 noon; Fortunately, the key collection can be accessed at anytime during the day or night, so late travellers need not worry, but please definitely let me know if it's going to be later than 10pm.
I can potentially be flexible about the 10am check out time, provided the apartment has no other guests checking in on the day you leave, just drop me a line to discuss. In which case, should any potential guests wishing to book have their travel itinerary handy at the time of enquiry, I'd be most grateful!
If I might also kindly stress to any potential guest that once you and i have arranged your booking, it is really quite essential that you let me know at least an approximate time by which you expect to arrive. It's also really very important that if you are running late, you do keep me informed; So please do ensure that you travel with a mobile phone from which you can call, text or e-mail me!
****Please also note, as I work very long (and very strange hours!) it may not be possible for me to actually meet you with the keys, at the apartment address.
In which case, the keys will be left with a concierge at a second, (very close-by!) address. ****

Interaction with Guests
I work some really weird hours, so it's more than likely that I won't be there in person to meet you, but please don't take it personally!
I am ALWAYS available via phone, text or sms, Airbnb message system or email, so should there be ANYTHING at all you need, contact me anytime, day or night!
Other Things to Note
If you could please be aware, although I usually do have the basic toiletries and cleaning supplies available for you - these will be found under the kitchen sink, or in the bathroom - in order to keep the costs of hosting to a minimum, I do believe it the responsibility of the guest to bring their own personal toiletries, their own food, their own trash bags, their own washing/cleaning supplies, should they wish to use any.
If I could ask guests to not use any unopened toiletries, or sundries that can be found in my wardrobe, these are my own personal supply.
There are several shops, only a few minutes away, which supply all of these things should you wish to not bring any with you.
If I could politely ask all guests to treat my parents apartment with the same care and respect as they would do their own, remembering that it is indeed a home, not just a rental apartment and that all belongings and furniture are personal to them and hand picked, just like any other household.
Therefore if guests could be sure to use the provided coasters and place mats to avoid any damage to furniture, I'd be very grateful.
Please do not use any of my unused, personal toiletries or sundries that are housed within my wardrobe, these are my personal effects.
When using the washer/dryer, please ensure that all pockets are emptied of any coins, pins, tissues or anything else that might block the filter!
I don't have a bin, I find the flat is a little too compact for this, so implement the use of ordinary plastic store/shop bags which can be conveniently disposed of everyday, at the council dumpsters at the end of the road, (situated at both the left and the right of the building, less than 1 minute walk away.)
Should you prefer to use trash bags, please look to purchase your own.
Please do ensure that you dispose of all of your own rubbish.
Please wash any dishes that you use, and generally tidy up - I'm sorry to have to say, but due to some past experiences with guests - should the apartment be left in a unpleasant or very dirty state, photos will be taken and an extra cleaning fee may be taken from your deposit.
I would prefer if guests would please avoid inviting strangers, or people they have just met up into my apartment, although friends are of course allowed!
Also, please do be aware that this is a residential block, and that noise should be kept to a minimum.
Other than that, make yourself absolutely at home!
Vi havde booket 3 nætter til to voksne og 4 børn i alderen 10 til 15. Det egner boligen sig ikke til.
Sovesofaen var elendig. Køkkenet havde ikke service nok. Afløbet var stoppet i badet.
Vi kontaktede udlejer angående manglerne, men disse blev ikke udbedret. Hun var ubekendt med problemerne, dog er de samme problemer omtalt ved tidligere anmeldelser.
Størrelsen er (website hidden) 40 m2. Dette ville dog ikke have været et problem, hvis bare tingene fungerede.
Lejlighedens placering er god, i et dejligt kvarter. Perfekt for 2 personer, hvis altså afløb blev renset!
The host was efficient and clear and very responsive. She answered everything promptly. The neighbourhood was delightful and the apartment was well maintained. The only thing I'd note is that while the listing says the apartment sleeps six, you'd literally need every inch of the one room bed-sit to achieve that as it is tiny (lovely but tiny). And there's not enough bowls/plates etc to have any meals there for - like us - a family of 5. It would be perfect for a couple. Also, no wireless (the pay as you go wireless didn't function) so going to find a wireless point was a requisite and a reality that made me appreciate that it's hard to coordinate tourism/tickets and travel with no functioning internet. I would have happily paid more for access to wireless.
Sophia's studio was very disappointing. It's way too small for 6 people - there's one bed that's fine (which is not really a "large king bed", but also a fold up sofa bed), the sofa bed isn't working properly so it's hurts, and the other fold ups are very small (too small for an adult) and you have to put them on the ground in the kitchen. And the drain in the shower is clogged (which another guest also wrote, but it still isn't fixed).
Also, it's more like a commercial room for rent than a nice airbnb (the whole building has rooms for rent).
But, for this amount, we had a great stay in an very nice neighborhood :-)
We booked this room for 4 people as it stated on the listing that it had enough room for 6 to stay. Unfortunately this wasn't the case so we had to book another airbnb for 2 of us, which doubled the price we wanted to pay. We also waited 45 minutes outside the apartment to get the keys which was annoying.
The double bed was comfortable, but the sofa bed wasn't great. Great location, nice neighbourhood. The bathroom / kitchen areas were clean and tidy and had most things needed.
Despite the problem with accommodating 4, it was a pleasant stay
I'm so sorry that you didn't think to contact me Gethin - it does indeed sleep 6 people, as written in the description, it has one kingsize bed, one sofa bed and two singles, but if you didn't want to share a bed with another of your guests, I would have certainly made up the two single beds, so each of the four of you could have slept separately. It's always worth reading the listing description carefully, and also reaching out to your host should you ever have any issues - most of us would so our very best to accommodate you. Went as a group of friends to celebrate a birthday, the location was fantastic we loved been so close to portobello road. The apartment was clean and tidy and in a beautiful building. Overall really happy and would stay here again.
Sophia's place was amazing. It's located in a upscale area of central London. You're very to close to some great shops on Portobello Road, as well as some excellent dining options, such as Granger & Co. I'd definitely book again if I had the opportunity.
Sophia's apartment was delightfully convenient and well maintained. Walking distance from shops and in a great part of town, the apartment itself was cosy, neat and well stocked with everything one could need. Other than a bit of a hike up the stairs (which can't be avoided in most homes) very highly recommended to stay for one or two people looking to discover London.
