I have been very happy in this apartment for 12 years of my life. I’ve shared unforgettable moments with my friends and family and would like other people to enjoy it, so I left everything as it was while I was living here. For me, it will always be my home.
It is a large third floor studio perfectly situated on a quiet street in the heart of the Ribera neighborhood in the old city center (Gothic quarter). It's close to just about everything: the Santa Caterina market, the Cathedral and the Palau de la Música are all less than 200 meters away, and the Ramblas and Waterfront are just 10 minutes by foot. Additionally, there is a metro stop (Jaume I on Line 4) only a three minute walk away. The warm and cozy apartment is approximately 40m²; it's an open room with high ceilings, wooden beams, and a balcony. There is a separate modern bathroom with a bath and a separated, fully equipped kitchen. In addition, there are two lofts which add extra space and can be used as raised bedrooms, sitting areas, or just for storage. On the roof of the building there is a community terrace with views of the old town.
Linen and towels are provided and also some basic products like salt, olive oil, vinager, coffee, sugar...and all the required stuff to cook.
The apartment itself is completely renovated and fully furnished- all it needs is you!
To arrive from the Barcelona airport, just take the Aerobus, (a direct bus), to the last stop: Plaza Cataluña. You can check all the details in (website hidden)
Once in Plaza Cataluña, it takes 10 minutes by food to arrive to the apartment. Take Avinguda De Portal del Àngel and go straight to the Cathedral, then, turn left till the Sata Caterina Market.
To arrive by train, stop in Estació de França and then, it takes 10 minutes by food to arrive to the apartment. Go straight Via Laietana and turn right in Avinguda de Francesc Cambó till the Santa Caterina market.

I personally welcome my guests.
Across the Via Laietana from the Barcelona Cathedral is a maze of bustling, narrow streets. This is the city’s medieval Santa Caterina and Sant Pere neighbourhood where, among other things, you’ll find the modernista masterpiece: the Palau de la Música Catalana.
By walk! All the nice and turistics places to visit in Barcelona can be reached by walk from the apartment.
You only need to take the public transportation to visit La Sagrada Familia and El Parc Güell.
- There is an extra cost of 20€ for the late check in (between 22:00 and 8:00).

Cosy and charming apartment, well located in the trendy and artistic neighborhood of El-born. I highly recommended to any indivudual or couple planning to visit the city's many attractions. This city seems to find ways to always charm me and Josefi's apartment fits perfectly with the vibe. Very accommodating apartment as all the necessary amenities were available for a short term stay. I really enjoyed the good coffee and wide selection of jazz music which set the tome for a chill evening making you "feel" the life of Barcelona. Josefi's accomdated my last minute request to book the place and was available to me within 2 hours of my initial request in the website. Thank you again for all-Jad
Jos is an amazing host. She had suggestions for where to go/do etc, very helpful overall, respected our privacy and showed the outmost discretion. She was flexible with the check in and check out and very approachable and willing to help.
The apartment is great too.. Very well located, with Santa Caterina market around the corner too. Very spacious for 2 people but can comfortably sleep 4/5 easy.
Overall a great experience for my first AirBnB try. Would definitely recommend Jos and her apartment if you wanna stay in Barcelona.
It is very easy to be nice with nice people :-) I really loved to meet you two and welcome you to my place.
I am very glad to hear that you have a good stay in my place during your stay in Barcelona for the sona festival! I also appreciate that you were so kind and quiet at home, the neighbours were delighted too.
I would love to welcome again to my place wherever you feel like visiting Barcelona!!
Be happy and keep on travelling all over the world!
This was a nice stay in Barcelona. I normally stay in Gracia, so it was interesting to stay in the "Born" district again. The area is lovely - close to a metro stop, near most tourist attractions and right across from one of the beautiful old markets.
The apartment is in an older building (as all the apartments in this district are) which shows its character. The lofted beds are very nice, the small living room and kitchen are very comfortable. The apartment was very clean and well maintained.
The sunny terrace is on the roof and is shared with the rest of the residents, however I never saw anyone else up there during the times that I went. Because it is not attached directly to the apartment, I used it a little less than I would have otherwise.
This is an apartment that has obviously been lived in and perfected - it feels cozy and real rather than set up specifically for rentals.
Josefi was fantastic. She met me when I arrived, quite late at night, with her delightful little dog. She showed me howe everything worked, made sure I could get online, and that we had towels and toilet paper etc. She even left some basics for cooking - olive oil, salt and pepper, plus coffee. Best of all was a big collection of classic jazz CDs.
The apartment was small for 5 people, but as we were out most of the time, it was fine. I used the roof terrace a few times and it was great checking out this other world of Barcelona's rooftops!
The location is brilliant too - right in the middle of Born, and a very short walk to the Santa Caterina Market for all your fresh food requirements.
We spent three nights in Barcelona at this apartment while attending a conference. The pictures and description on the web site were accurate and the flat was clean. The location is excellent and close to the market so you can make simple meals if you want to save on eating out.
Josefi met us on arrival and showed us around the flat and gave us some information on places to eat.
We found getting in and out of bed difficult as the head space over the bed is small. If you have back or mobility problems, this will not be suitable. The flat is also on the third floor and the stairs are steep. On the positive side, I was fitter than when I arrived do to climbing the stairs.
Overall we enjoyed our stay.
I really appreciate your sincere, clear and extensive comment on my apartment.
I am happy to hear that eventhough the raised bed, you have enjoyed your stay in barcelona and in the apartment. I always try to do my best in order to offer the best service to my guests.
The raised beds may be not convenient for people with backbone or knees problems, this is why I try to have very accurate and clear pictures in the website so people can decide. On the other hand, raised beds are very funny and special for children or young people looking for something unusual.
My best regards
Nice and clean apartment, a bit inconvenient not to have bedroom doors, since we were colleagues sharing the flat for the Mobile World Congress. I guess it would be fine for friends and families. Good location and useful services nearby.
Thanks for Sharing your opinion with the community , Alessia.
It was my pleasure to welcome you to my place during the GSM, these are crazy days in Barcelona.
The apartment is loft style, with no doors, as you can appreciate in the pictures :-) It is a nice way to share your vaccations with your family and friends, specially if they do not snore ;-)
Hope to see you again in Barcelona during your holidays!! :-)
The appartment is located next to the cathedral. It was a very nice, clean and decent appartment. Josefin is also very great and helpful. Very good choice!
Petit appartement très accueillant et très bien placé! Nous avons fait Barcelone à pied!
We had a great time in Barcelona and Josefi's apartment was perfect. It's just as she described, with plenty of room and the best location. Not noisy at night, but still walking distance to everything. Josefi was easy to communicate with, even though we went over Christmas and she was not in town. Great time, we would stay there again!
We had a great time at Jos's place! The apartment is in a great location, around the corner from the cathedral and about a 20 minute walk to the beach. It is also very close to Placa de Catalunya, where you can get the Aerobus to and from the airport and take the metro to anywhere in Barcelona. There were 3 people staying in the apartment and it was very comfortable. There are 2 big beds and a couch so there was enough room for everyone. The terrace is on the roof and had great views of Barcelona's rooftops, but since we were there in December we didn't get to use it too much. Jos was a great host, she met us at the apartment, explained everything, and even went out of her way to change a light bulb that was burned out when we arrived. Her place has many maps and guide books for Barcelona too which is convenient for tourists. I would definitely recommend this apartment for someone coming to Barcelona. Thanks for everything Jos, we loved BCN!!!
I am happy to hear that you enjoyed the apartment and Barcelona!!
I always try to do my best in order to make you feel like at home...
You and your friends are lovely people and I am glad to have the chance to met you. I am happy that you spent your holidays in my place.
I hope to see you again soon in Barcelona or in another place all over the world!! :-)
