I stayed for 2 weeks with John and Julia and I had a great time! They were very accommodating and really made me feel welcome. The pets were great fun. If I'm back in Donegal I'll be sure to stay there! Just be aware that Donegal can be quite cold at times so bring some warm layers :)
Julia and Joe provided the friendliest, homiest Airbnb experience I've had so far. They are extremely friendly and willing to help, be it towels, extra blankets, a hot meal, or travel advice. Place is 2 mins from center of town. Definitely recommend.
John and Julia are hospitable and interesting people. They cooked us a most nutritious and tasty breakfast. The bedroom and lounge were extremely spacious. Recommend that visitors arrive in daylight when staying there.
We enjoyed our stay in the big, comfortable room. Great bed!
Very pleasent, friendly hosts. Enjoyed their hospitality.
Donegal town is not a touristic place in particular in January but I really enjoyed staying with John and Julia and their pets. The Bluestack way from Donegal town to Lough eske is an enjoyable walk.
John and Julia do everything to make you feel comfortable in their home. It was my first Airbnb experience and I recommend to go to John and Julia's house if you want to visit Donegal.
John and Julia were lovely, welcoming hosts. Their very unique and charming home is situated in the perfect location from which to explore Donegal town. The large guest bedroom I stayed in is private and well-equipped. I had already made plans to meet with a local friend, but Julia seemed very willing to drive me around to see the area when she was free. I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent with John, Julia, their awesome dog Bruno and their cats.
I will absolutely stay with them again when I return to the area and would recommend this location to anyone looking for a comfortable home-stay experience! Thanks, John and Julia.
I had a very nice time in Donegal with John and Julia. They were both really kind and helpful. Julia gave great tips on what places to visit in and around Donegal and one day she even took me to Slieve League. I felt very comfortable and there was always something interesting to talk about. The room was big with a comfortable bed and very clean.
We stayed with John and Julia for just one night, but found them to be a delightful couple. We had some very interesting conversation. The room we stayed in was large and very clean. Thank you John and Julia and I will wait fr your visit to the West Coast!
We stayed one night at Julia and Johns House and loved it! They are very sweet and welcoming and they have an adorable sweet dog. They took good care we would find the place with no problems and gave us lots of good information for trips and Restaurants in and around Donegal. The room is gigantic, with big windows with view to the trees. There is a slight musty smell in the walls, something to expect in a old house, but its part of the experience and we had no problem with it. All was very clean and lots of lovely details in the room. The bed is big, extremely comfortable and we slept fantastically. John made us a wonderful breakfast on a lovely decorated table with fresh flowers and lots of choices to eat. We would definitely go back!
