The house is huge and amazing. John and Julia are very kind and we found ourselves more then welcome.
The breakfast was very tasteful. Location was very near to the city. We enjoyed John's advice to eat in the castle restaurant and to listen to the traditional music in the real bar.
The absolute best experience we could have hoped for. My Dad and I had a wonderful stay with John, Julia, and Bruno. Though we got in too late to meet Julia, John and Bruno were wonderful hosts and company. They were very thorough and helpful in making sure we would able to find their home alright which was very kind. His house is just a downright cozy Irish abode in the center of Donegal town and walking distance from the main streets. Our room was perfectly clean and comfortable with plenty of space. I wish we could have stayed more than one night! We will definitely be back in Donegal again someday and hope to stay here again. Until then, I would recommend John and Julia's place to anyone! Thanks for everything!
Julia and John are a lot of fun, and we had a nice time at their home. The room we stayed in is just as listed - a large room with a private, detached bath in their Donegal home. The price was fair, and we enjoyed staying with some down-to-earth locals. Everything in our room and bath was clean and orderly, and if Julia or John couldn't be there to chat with us at breakfast, they left out fruit, granola, yogurt, and other good starter foods :) John had some great recommendations for what to do in Donegal, and both of them had great recommendations of where to go in the Donegal county.
John and Julia are delightful hosts! It was a great experience getting to stay in this very old home with such great history! They were very helpful in helping me plan my daily adventures and sharing history of the area. Loved that it was walking distance to all the must sees in Donegal.
John and Julia were exceedingly kind and friendly. They were great with communication and extremely hospitable. Comfy spacious room and a big bed. I would definitely stay here again.
It is a big comfy bedroom, just as described, which was great after a long cycle to get there. I was welcomed with food and drink on the kitchen table, which was lovely, and that set the tone for the whole stay. It's very good being so close to the middle of the town, yet tucked away, and I really liked Donegal as a place to be; I could easily have spent longer there.
