Enjoy a great stay in Boston!
Gillian was awesome from the very beginning when we needed to check in a little earlier than planned. Her place is just as advertised but better. The history of the building was cool. The loft has a real comfort to it with the wood floors and her art work on the walls. The South End of Boston is nice with some good places to eat within walking distance. I was there for the Marathon so the connections to the T made it easy to get around.
Gillian is very sweet and made us feel welcome. Her loft is perfect for an artist and was comfortable for me and my daughter since we could sleep together in the one bed. Gillian and Russell gave us complete privacy and we hardly knew that they were ever home! The building is very interesting -- was originally a piano factory. There's an elevator, so it's easy to take luggage to and from the 5th floor. It's about a 25 minute walk to Emerson College or Boston Conservatory, two of the places we visited. We liked the neighborhood very much, even though it wasn't right in the heart/touristy part of Boston.
I was only able to stay at Gillian's beautiful place for about an hour because of a family emergency...but the place was wonderful and warm on a late winter day, and Gillian was a gracious host and wise council...
Gillian's apartment was so adorable and unique. It was right in the middle of the city, with very easy access to everything in Boston. Gillian was a great hostess, and the nice touches such as the coffee brewing every morning, breakfast, and bedside chocolates, were a very nice touch to an already great experience. I definitely recommend this place! Thanks again!
Gillian was a great host, leaving us Yogurt in the fridge and fresh fruit for us to eat! She also had coffee waiting for us every morning. The apartment was beautiful and clean.
Absolutely nothing to complain about!
This is indeed an artistic loft in South Boston! This was the perfect place for me to stay, centrally located, close to the subway, lots of great shops and activities nearby.
The condo is uber cool and a piece of art itself. The room is so comfortable, the bedding literally makes one feel that they are in a luxury hotel. Gillian is a great host, and she provides lots of ideas on local treats and eats and was very helpful in advising me on how to get around her area.
The room is ideal for a solo traveler or a couple. I hardly ever even heard the hosts when they were in the condo.
I would definitely stay here again!
I am a sculptor, and have focused my career on creating public artwork. I am inspired to make work based on the familiar objects that one may view through their daily travels. I enjoy refinishing furniture, caring for plants, sewing and baking. Since I'm a welder by day, indulging in the most feminine of hobbies is a refreshing and quiet change of pace. I'm an avid reader and podcast listener. Tootsie remains my favorite all-time movie. I love a good coffee and swimming.
