About this listing
We offer a quiet, big, bright, and fully furnished room in a beautiful apartment in the heart of Kreuzkölln area, just 5 minutes walking from Kottbusser Tor, and right next to the wonderful Maybachufer canal.
The room we offer is 28m2, it can accommodate comfortably up to 3 guests and is fully furnished with a queen-size bed, a double closet, a writing desk, and a Ikea "Beddinge" sofa bed.
The room is very bright and quiet, indeed has a big window opening on a nice internal courtyard with a beautiful apple tree.
We'll provide clean sheets and towels for every guest, radiator heating, and a super-fast WIFI internet connection (no file-sharing allowed)
Our 106m2 flat is located in a beautifully renovated building in a quiet street in the heart of Kreuzkölln, one of the most interesting areas in Berlin.
It has a fully equipped kitchen at guests' disposal, with dishwasher, microwave, washing-machine (due to abuse in the past we charge 5€ to use it), stove, and a food processor.
The bathroom is spacious and is equipped with a bathtub, so in case you feel like it just add the bubbles :)
We live in two other rooms, in case you need anything usually there's always somebody around to ask to.
Kreuzkölln is one of the most sought-after areas in Berlin, and our flat is right in the center of it. There aren't many better locations in the city if you're interested in culture, arts, night life, and food! The flat is located just by the wonderful Maybachufer and Landwerkanal, where twice a week the famous and colorful Turkish market takes place.
In less than 10 minutes walking you can reach Kottbusser Tor (the heart of Kreuzberg SO36), Hermannplatz, the trendy Weserstraße (lots of bars, clubs, restaurants there), and plenty of shops, cinemas, supermarkets, restaurants, bars and amenities.
The flat is located less than 100m away from U8 Metro Station, with which you can reach in less than 10 minutes Alexanderplatz, and many of the interesting places in town. The night bus stop is also very close, so you will never have a hard time coming back home.
WHO ARE WE:
We are a couple in our 30s, we know and love Berlin and made it our home since years now. We can help you spot some interesting places and give you some advice on how to enjoy the city in case you're here for tourism, or guarantee a quiet and well connected place to stay if you're here for a work trip.
Berlin has much to offer, so if you're looking for a cozy and quiet room in one of Berlin's trendiest neighborhoods look no further!
We do our best to offer a nice and quiet household experience to our guests but we're not professional hosts, this is a private house so don't expect the treatment that you would be granted in a hotel. We're not getting rich out of Airbnb, we just raise a bit of extra money for housekeeping, meet new interesting people from all over, and generally have fun.
Please make sure to contact anybody in the house if anything is not of your liking or makes you feel uncomfortable and we will try to solve whatever issue as best as we can, in exchange we ask you to behave the same way you would when hosted by a friend or relative, basically use common sense, things as such:
keep noises down to an acceptable level after 10 pm
try to leave common areas as you've found it after you use it
don't bring stoned people in for an early morning afterparty and thrash the house, etc
We're pretty relaxed regarding hosting, we too come home late at night or clean up the kitchen the day after having dinner *on occasions* but this is not common practice, so please bear with us if you're bothered by this and/or try to be respectful if you're a late night messy freak - and everything will be fine and fun.
Thanks and enjoy your stay!
This room was great and in a very convenient location. The room is big and bright and very cosy, the shared bathroom is good and we were able to use their kitchen too. We didn't see franz much but Eliza was very helpful and enthusiastic, both were quick to respond via text and AirBnb. Kreuzberg is a very cool area with bars and restaurants, and other areas are easy to reach with the metro station a 2 minute walk away. We could even walk to the east side gallery (about 30 mins). Definitely recommend this place for its comfort and location
This was my first airbnb experience and it was a positive one! Elisa and Franz were there for anything I needed but they were very respectful of my privacy/schedule. The location was great-right near the canal/metro stop/cool restaurants/shops.
Great location in the heart of "Kreuzkölln", arguably the coolest neighbourhood in Berlin. Nice and big room with comfy beds, and the hosts are super friendly. We really enjoyed our stay!
Franz and Elisa were very kind with me! I hardly met them because our schedules were not the same but still had no problems at all. The bedroom is very big and comfortable! Everything were clean and organized! The location is fantastic, very close to the subway station and the neighborhood is very good also! For sure I would come back! I loved my stay!! Thank you Franz and Elisa!
Tutto perfetto! Bella stanza e ottima accoglienza. Nel cuore della Berlino notturna la consiglio caldamente!
Grazie ancora ad Elisa e Franz per tutto!
Place was in a perfect location and the room was nice. My only complaint is it gets very cold in the room due to the fact the thermostat is placed in the other bedroom so if their room is comfortable temperature, then the heating gets cut off. This probably wont be an issue during the summer but was very uncomfortable in the middle of April when it gets very cold at night.
