  • Lovely place, great host, and super location. Couldn't be happier.

  • We came for just a night on our way to Seattle. It was quiet. Even though there were at least 2 other guests staying, we never saw anyone or heard anyone. We made use of the hammock in the evening to relax and we definitely enjoyed the peace and tranquility. We didn't get a chance to explore the property but it was pretty. Downtown is just a 20 minute walk away, wear sunscreen if it's summer, the heat is pretty strong. Things were as described and I would come back.

  • We had a lovely one night stay with Alicia at Morical house. This was our first Air BnB that was actually a commercial establishment not someone's home. The room was large, comfortable and very clean. We met Alicia in the morning when we indulged in the breakfast she provides her Bed and Breakfast guests. It was well worth it. The house is about a mile from the center of town which would be a great way to exercise after watching plays and eating. The property is beautiful and we wished we had more time to relax there. The only thing that could be challenging for some people was the spiral staircase up to our room. Not a problem for us but I could see some folks having trouble. We would definitely stay here again and hope to have a chance when we will be in Ashland for more than one night.

  • Our stay at the Morical House was a lovely respite along our road trip. Alicia was a very accommodating and reliable host. We only wish we could have stayed and enjoyed the place longer!

  • The room we were given in the carriage house was amazing. It was my first trip to Ashland and it was great coming back to such a nice place. The bed was very comfortable and we slept very well.

  • What a wonderful property! Beautiful, comfortable, well-appointed rooms and stunning grounds with an incredible view. Close enough to town that you don't need to drive to most places. Lots of little touches, too: in-room kitchenette with coffee, beautiful soaps and bathroom amenities, clean and spacious, free wi-fi, etc. We loved our time in Ashland and would come back to this property in a heartbeat.

  • We loved our stay at Morical House! The rooms were very neat and clean. We had a suite of living room, bedroom and bath - nicely decorated, very private and spacious! Alicia’s yard is beautiful, private, very relaxing, with a wonderful view. The house is not far from downtown Ashland, perhaps a 15 minute walk. We definitely plan on returning to this Ashland gem in the future!

  • My wife and I had a lovely experience at this establishment. It is a nice walking distance from the Shakespeare Festival theaters, perhaps a bit over a mile, and that was a nice stretch after the drive to Ashland. The walk is basically a direct path down a well lit street. We got in early for a one-day trip there, and went to get rush tickets for an afternoon show, then we had tickets we had purchased in advance to another play in the evening, and the location worked really well. Alicia gave us advice by message in advance when I asked about restaurants, and offered to help with a reservation if we wanted. The room itself was really lovely and very quiet and private. It was surprisingly spacious, and the bathroom offered both tub and shower. There was a garden with chairs scattered about and nice views, and even quail walking through the garden. We were offered an optional gourmet breakfast which we decided to ask for (you need to say 24 hrs in advance). We first met our friendly hostess when she served the meal to us. It was not inexpensive, but given the three courses we were served (great coffee, orange juice, along with a fresh fig salad with blueberries, then a heaping bowl of savory polenta topped with steamed arugula, what I took to be two kinds of cooked mushrooms, and chicken sausage, and for dessert homemade lavender ice cream and red and gold raspberries topped with organic yogurt) it was far from overpriced. The cooking was amazing. I have had meals I did not enjoy as much at what are supposed to be some of the top restaurants in Portland. If you go, get the breakfast. You will be glad you did. We plan to visit Ashland again, and hope that there will be room for us at this Inn on the day we choose.

  • Alicia was great, easy to communicate with and always responded quickly to messages. Our first morning the handle on our toilet broke and Alicia got someone there to fix it right away. The house is an easy walk to downtown, but the driveway is a little hidden off the street behind a tall hedge. We even walked right by it on our way back one evening! Despite being on the busy main street it was very quiet. The room was clean and cozy and outfitted with everything we needed (coffee pot, a few dishes and utensils, mini fridge, ironing board, toiletries), except for an iron, which was not a very big deal (I'm sure one would have been brought to our room had we requested it!). The only complaint is that our downstairs neighbors kept repeatedly slamming their door early in the morning. Overall, a great place to stay. Highly recommended!
