A spacious 1 bedroom in an elevator building at the top of the West Village, adjacent to the Meatpacking District and Chelsea. An amazing location near the High Line, Chelsea Market, Meatpacking restaurants and nightlife, and West Village shopping.
(Our living room furniture has changed, but this gives you an idea of the room size!)
Our apartment has a large living room with a sectional sofa and sprawling coffee table, a dining area, and a writing table for two. The kelly-green galley kitchen has a dishwasher and is fully supplied, should you want to shop at nearby Chelsea Market and cook a meal. The gray and white marble bathroom is modern and clean with a glass-door shower and fantastic hot water.

Please introduce yourself before booking. No bookings will be accepted without saying hello! Two guests maximum.
Air conditioning is available in both the bedroom and the living room. A large-screen TV in the living room has cable TV and wireless internet is strong throughout the apartment. If you need to do laundry, there are card-operated washer and dryers in the basement of the building. The building has an elevator as well, though you're low enough to walk up, too.
Interaction with Guests
We are always available to our guests via phone, text, or email while we're away should they need anything. We will not be present during your stay and will organize a easy handoff of the key at the beginning if we can't be there when you arrive.
We are a two minute walk from the 14th Street/8th Avenue A-C-E-L stop. You can take the L and be in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, in 15 minutes and take the A-C-E easily down to World Trade or up towards Times Square or Columbus Circle in minutes. One avenue block east is the 1-2-3 at 14th Street/7th Avenue stop.
The Hudson River Bike Path is minutes from our place. And one block south of us, you can rent bikes. And a Citibike bike share station is just seconds from the apartment.
We are neat and tidy people who love our home and expect our guests to be respectful and treat our home as they would their own. Oh, and we expect you to enjoy New York, too. :-)
What a wonderful apartment!
Michael was beyond accommodating and helpful with everything. Special arrangements re picking up keys was especially appreciated.
The welcome booklet is a brilliant touch, as was the wine and the note. I would stay here over a hotel anyday.
We'd book again without a second thought.
Michael was very responsive to all my emails, and during our stay in the apartment. The space is very well appointed and made us feel like we were in our second home. The neighborhood couldn't be any more exciting. Close access to transportation, and great energy. It's exactly where we wanted to be.
Fantastic apartment and location absolutely cannot be beat. I have stayed in NYC many times, but I really loved the charm of their apartment and their neighborhood. I wish they could design my house in DC! (Or I could move to NYC...)
Nick met me to give me the keys, a welcome bottle of wine and a little book with apartment/neighborhood instructions. From there, I went about my NYC weekend and left the keys in the apartment when I left.
Neighborhood is great with several accessible metro lines and walking distance to everywhere/thing. The apartment is very quiet even though it is in a central location. And apparently, Jennifer Aniston has a penthouse apartment across the street.
I was lucky enough to spend six fabulous nights at Michaels' stunning New York apartment recently! A lovely thoughtful welcome bottle of wine and detailed notes on the apartment and local area. The apartment is wonderfully spacious and SO stylish! A very comfy bed and fully functioning air conditioning were a huge treat during the heatwave.. And to stay such an immaculate building with a lift in such an amazing location was incredible! I had excellent communication with Michael both before my trip and during my stay! I would definitely LOVE to return to Michaels' apartment next year!!
What a great apartment - everything about it was fantastic, the location, the building, the spacious & well lit rooms, the decorations & furniture, the kitchen appliances, tv/internet/AC, etc. While Michael was out of town, communication before and during our stay was always timely. Check-in was convenient, the booklet on the dining room table has all the relevant information. The neighborhood is one of our favorites in NY, it's got great character, charming buildings, and close to all public transportation, including the A/C/E line a block and a half away.
We'd definitely consider staying there again during a future trip. Thanks guys!
I had a wonderful stay at Michael's apartment. Everything about it was perfect and the images are accurate. The building is lovely, the apartment is immaculate and beautifully designed, the location ideal for proximity to restaurants, shops, the train (as well as hailing taxis) etc. Michael is a gracious host; a bottle of wine and welcoming note greeted us upon entry to the apartment, as did fresh towels and soap, bath products and a thoughtful binder detailing information about the apartment and the area. I can't say enough positive things and we definitely will stay there again. Thanks, Michael!
Michael was extraordinarily accommodating, we had a fabulous experience, and would look forward to staying in his apt again. He has updated some of his furniture and his place looks just as good as the photos if not better. It was spacious for New York and very comfortable. The location can not be beat, the West Village, Chelsea, and Meatpacking neighborhoods all within a few blocks. I would highly recommend this spot.
