Sharing the apartment with me and other fellow Airbnb guests, is very different of renting a hotel. Is a new thing we are all trying to adapt our self to this new set of circumstances. You knew in advance were you'd be going, otherwise you wouldn't be in one of my rooms. If something, sharing a room here is more like a roommate than hotel or family guests. Is quite hard for me, a single guy with huge apartment, to keep everything perfect with hotel standard all the time. Im not a Hotel, Motel a Hostal, im alone here and I have a life, other than my flat and Airbnb. So, I try to do maintenance all the time. I ask for a cleaning fee because that is a different job, very fiscal and hard, believe or not, and sometimes I need to ask people to help me with that money. It only covers the cleaning of your room after you left, it doesn't cover the maintenance of the place, the cleaning of the kitchen or the bathroom after you or your friends use it. As temporal roommate you could help by cleaning the kitchen and the bathroom after you used, and even give little care for the whole space while you are here. Don't hold your opinions about my place or your room or whatever circumstances you keep till the moment to review. I take those review very personally, after all I allowed you to be in my home, my space, my life. And because I try my best to keep everything in order and clean. Let me know what is it and I fix or repair it or whatever you tell me, help me out doing whatever you can for the place and, even more important, by telling me as sooner the better what you are not happy with. Is better that tha long faces and terrible reviews form both ends.
Check out must be coordinated at least the night before you departure.
Remember you can always reach me at my phone or Whats App, Telegram, Viber with the same phone number.
If you wish to contact me by email, I always prefer you use airbnb message board. It makes everything easier.
Towels and sheets are provided.
Very important too:
I live in an actual second floor but is called Primera that means first. Actual first floor is called in Spain Primera. So careful with this. Please don't knock on my neighbours doors if you are not sure is my door. My door number is 1-2, means first floor(but is a second) second door. It is an inter phone downstairs that you better ring before you come into the building. Remember 1-2.
Turn off the lights, heater, fan, when you leave the room. Save the planet.
Set the shower pressure no too hard, so you dont water the floor thus clean it up.
The room is to be left in the same condition as it was when initially checked in.
You will be responsible to maintain the standard of cleanliness and tidiness in the Room, Kitchen and the Bathroom.
Being respectful and friendly to others around you both in the apartment and neighbors.
You have full access to common spaces as kitchen, washing machine room and living room. As you do in your house clean them after use.
Alejandro was a very good host. He welcomed us kindly even though we checked in late. The house is very nice, and the location is perfect. We could walk almost everywhere, and public transportation is just a few steps away. We had a nice small balcony for smoking, and looking to a very nice El Born street. We had a great time.
Surprising. Bed very uncomfortable. Noisy room. No real balcony. Apartment not very clean. In saying that Alejandro was pleasant during our stay although very difficult to communicate with beforehand. Location was excellent....you get what you pay for.
When we arrived, we were greeted at the door with a not-so-very great welcoming. His tone was short and stern. He complained about us not being able to figure out which doorbell to ring, which can be very confusing for a persons first time in Europe. His attitude towards my friend and I was unwelcoming and it made us feel as if we needed to tip-toe around his apartment. We felt slightly uncomfortable. The day before we left, a couple arrived to stay at his home. He was cordial and extremely helpful with them. In fact, he insisted on showing them around town. I think it's strange that he wasn't very friendly with us but super friendly with the other guests. The directions on how to get to his home weren't very clear either. The only thing I liked was the location of the place, which was nearby locations by foot or metro.
Alejandro had a great place that was in the PERFECT location in Barcelona. Very nice apartment! The room is small but cozy :) would definitely stay again!
Lived like a local, among one of the small alleyways. Lovely apartment, just that it is at the 3rd storey with staircase so have some lifting to do if you have bigger luggage. Alejandro gave good recommendation, we visited the Santa Caterina market which is ~15min walk, fresh food, seafood, fruits mainly patronised by locals, had good (email hidden) with reasonable price. 5min walk to Jaime I metro and the Santa Maria basilica. Along the road outside, there are countless eateries/cafes/shops and 2 supermarkets, so you won't go hungry or bored. Xandor has affordable food n drinks, good for people watching if sitting outside as it is steps away from the basilica. A thing to note about the room is that there are high traffic late at night as there seems to be a bar/pub near the corner of the apt, ppl talking loud especially weekend. If you are a early sleeper it might disturb you
The location of this apartment is excellent. You can walk to most things but the metro stop is very close if you prefer that. Alejandro was extremely kind and we enjoyed our stay!
