The Canal Studio Apartment is located in between the historic Jordaan district and Westerpark on a quiet canal in the heart of Amsterdam. Most Amsterdam landmarks are within walking distance and there are many shops and restaurants just around the corner.
This stylishly decorated studio is located in a quiet area in Amsterdam Westpark, 5 min walk to the lively Jordaan with many bars, restaurants and many other attractions. The comfortable and bright apartment is situated on the ground floor. To get to know Amsterdam the Dutch way, I will offer you 2 bikes for free to ride during your stay (that will save you some €’s and time). Anne Frank's house is only 1km away and Westerpark is just around the corner. If you need some last minute food shopping, the night shop is right on your doorstep (50 m). This spacious studio is ideal for couples taking a romantic holiday break in Amsterdam.
You can walk to most of Amsterdam’s favorite landmarks and Central Station is about 10-15 minutes by foot. It is also ideally situated, with tram and bus stops just 50 meters (about 150 feet) away. Tram 3 takes you directly to Amsterdam’s nightlife on Leidseplein, and to The Concertgebouw (Concert Hall) and many of the major museums (Van Gogh, Rijksmuseum). This area is called Museumplein and it's one of the most attractive areas in Amsterdam. Bus 22 takes 5 min to Central Station and Amsterdam’s emerging waterfront (Bimhuis, Jazz Hall, and Stedelijk Museum). Although centrally located, the apartment location, across from a park and small marina, provides a quiet and natural serenity you wouldn't expect in a city.
The studio has 40 m2, in U shape, separated kitchen, ground floor/canal front. It is fully equipped; fresh bed linen & towels, hairdryer, wash machine, Ipod connection, big fridge, ironing set, fast internet wireless, closet, etc...
From central station: 5 min by bike or 15 min walking 1.8 km
From Leidsplein : 10 min by bike 2.9 km

sejour agreable dans ce studio, l'arret de bus est a coté et tout fonctionne comme sur les photos. Edgar est très sympa.
Pas pu essayer les velos car pluie mais c'est un plus.
Clean, cosy and perfectly located. Edgar is a very nice guy, flexible and easy to communicate with.
Excellent experience. Small cozy studio with everything you need. 5 mins from the central station by bus. Host Edgar super nice, recommended lots of great places to go.
Great place. Very big studio, clean and organized. The bikes are a good differential. Edgar also is a nice host. He was waiting for us at the bus stop and gave a lot of helpfull information. I recommend.
Very nice host. The room was perfect, not too small, not too big, not in the city center, but close by, a quiet and nice looking neighborhood. Just perfect for 2 for a long weekend. The appartment is eqipped well, everything you need to cook and there a bicycles too, when you want go to the city or quickly in the supermarket.
We loved the neighborhood Edgar's place is in. Great cafe and really convenient to the whole of Amsterdam. Edgar's place is a bit of a bachelor pad but really a nice sized studio. We enjoyed our time there.
The studio was fantastic! We so enjoyed our stay. It was walkable to things, however it was farther out of the center than I had anticipated---that's not a bad thing, it was in a nice are of town and there was a great cafe and grocery story less than a block away! The bikes weren't in the best shape but worked and again, we walked alot and right of the bus stop! Again, it was so great---if we came back to Amsterdam we'd give him business again!
we stayed for one week in this apartment. was really disapointed - had one towel for whole week! one kitchen towel, no salt, no sugar...no TV.. Apartment is very warm and there are supermarket and nice bar near. But that is it. City centar is 20-30 min walk. At the end of our trip we needed doctor and our host did not help with any advice, just told us to call ambulance and thats all. As well I asked if he could call taxi for us as we were not able to call from our mobile phones - but didnt get answer from him. It was ok - but would not recomend.
Thank you for your review and I am sorry that you had such a stay in Amsterdam.
Answering your review, I remember you send me an message asking for the ambulance number to which I called you right away. You were not in the mood to speak, so I spoke with your girl friend and told her to call 112 and letting her know to call me if you needed something else or if that didn't worked out. Also, i have all emergency numbers listed in the Kitchen. If you had been more clear with me maybe I could have helped you more and would be glad to. Regarding the message you have send me to call a taxi, I'm sorry, but I don’t even know what you are talking about, since I have never received it.
About having fresh towels every day, I can only say that airbnb doesn’t provide the same services as an 5* hotel, but I do have a washing machine at my apartment as well as detergent.
I wish you all the best and better luck for next time!
We loved staying at Edgar's, especially with the bikes! We got in late, and there wasn't any food open nearby, so we hopped on them and sped into the city center. We literally spent every moment after arriving zooming around the city, and we were so grateful that we didn't have to go find bikes to rent. There was no soap in the shower (which we would have appreciated), and the bike tires were extremely flat, which is why we're giving 4 stars. Very clean and cozy otherwise. The heater makes a funny noise when it's running, but it's not altogether unpleasant.
