Cute and lovely home! Very familiar and friendly!
booked for my parents with little English knowledge!
They felt very comfortable!
To recommend :)
Loretta was a great host- very friendly and always offering if she could make our stay any better. She is an interesting conversationalist!
I moved to Australia and stayed the first four weeks at Loretta's home. She and her son Andre are lovely hosts, always minded to support people if needed. The house is located in a quiet area close to a wonderful park where my little children had lot of fun. Close to the house there are some facilities such as a 7-eleven, restaurants and bus stops where you can take routes 811/812 to Moorabin Station (zone 2) or Middle Brighton (zone 1/2). Having a convesation and listening Loretta's advices about Aussies culture is really interesting. I truly appreciate all the Loretta's support during our staying at her home.
This was a very pleasant three day stay. My host was very welcoming and flexible about arrival and departure. My room was quiet and comfortable. The location, near a park, was handy for the Melbourne suburban city train network (15 minutes walk to the nearest station). It was very quiet. Breakfast was a DIY affair but all the necessary items were available. Cost per night compared very favourably to other accommodation in the area.
Loretta is a great host, she is open-minded, well-travelled and talented lady, very interesting to talk to, highly recommend her place to any travaller who would like to learn about melbourne, or the rest of the world.
At last we have internet and I can value our stay at Loretta. I suggest that you go unanounced and check the place yourself. The place was disgusting, dark and smelly this was the first approched.
The pictures in the internet showed in fact 3 times the same room with dif. positions of beds etc...and it didn't show the never been cleaned window (that you could not open anyway) with broken blind. The cupboard were stuffed with some covers, etc...no place to put your things and the bath was so dirty I try to shower as less as possible. It is never cleaned anyway. In fact there was nothing done to welcome paying visitors.(I rent spare rooms in my flat in Germany in Hannover for the fair and I know what I am taking about). The "help yourself" breakfast is a joke, lovely Loretta showed us the messy kitchen and the left over of cereal, almost empty jam and 1 egg in the fridge that we could have (when I asked surprised if she would provide something when did bought eggs and jam), I mean what is it about ?? just cashing money...We had to clean every single cup or knife before using it, she never bother at least to clear the table in the lounge or clean a bit around.
The all place was such a mess, if these people want to live like retired hippies, great but please do not open a bedandbreakfast. This was just a rip off.

Loretta is very nice and helpful. She finds for every challenge a solution. Enjoyed the stay.
I was really glad I stayed with Loretta she was a wonderful person to meet and she really seemed to enjoy meeting new people. Loretta went out of her way to show me around when she could and had great advice for me as I was new to Melbourne and did not know the city.
She was creative and enjoyed a cooking a nice meal sevred with wine and conversation, she has lovely people around her and was interesting and easy to stay with.
I recommend Loretta's by the park and am loving Melbourne.
Enjoyed my stay with Loretta. She is a sensitive person with a quiet demanour. She is very considerate and is open to discuss anything whether good or bad.
The area is quiet which suits those seeking peace.
