On Sundays, two streets running parallel to the canal, Quai de Valmy and Quai de Jemmapes, are reserved for pedestrians and cyclists—perfect for renting a bike and seeing the city from a fresh angle. Our experience in Paris was perfect! There were supposed to be 7 of us traveling which is why we booked this apartment. It is really big with 5 sleeping areas (2 of which are comfortable pull out beds for one adult or two little kids). 3 couples with 4 little kids or 8 adults could easily work in this space. The separate bedrooms have full bathrooms in the suites 3 1/2 in total. The whole apartment has a artsy vibe with many interesting objects, paintings, books and huge windows that overlook the street. Matt and Lea have left many notes and suggestions for the renters regarding the local area. Lots of towels, pillows and bed linens were provided. Also the kitchen is well stocked with a great big island that is perfect for eating around. We ate in for breakfast and then found some of the restaurants in the area that Matt recommended for dinner...FABULOUS! There is a elevator for the folks who would rather ride than walkup and down the curving polished wooden staircase. My folks are 83 so they appreciated this a great deal. As far as the neighborhood goes it is very safe, lots of shops and boutiques for picking up that special gift for someone of getting a little something for yourself! The metro was a 5 minute walk...bring coins if you want it to go quickly...it is a bit confusing if it is your first time, but don't be afraid to ask people for help. Everyone was really helpful when we were confused! Communicating with Lea and her brother Matt was also quick and easy. They try really hard to make your trip memorable.
The apartment was fantastic & fulfilled our needs. Well equipped spacious kitchen. Great decor & plenty of space. Very convenient location. The only downside was that rue Beaurepaire was fairly noisy until late in the evening. We dealt with Matt on check in who was prompt helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
This apartment was excellent! It can be hard to find a place for so many people in the heart of Paris, but this was a perfect fit for us. The place had plenty of space and amenities to make us feel more than comfortable, and the the apartment is situated in a prime location – there are plenty of great places nearby to go to, as well as easy access to the metro. Overall a great experience!
We received all information from Matt, who was really nice! They prepared a list of good restaurants and shops nearby, which was very helpful. The neighbourhood was just amazing, with lots of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars just around the corner. The apartment was bigger than expected, which was great! We had a great stay in Paris and in this apartment. Lea always answered very fast, this was very helpful! Thank you very much Lea and Matt!
Similar to the other reviewers, we have nothing but positive things to say about our time in Lea's apartment. Her place is absolutely stunning and exceeded our expectations! We were a family of 6, comprised of 3 couples including me and my husband, our two daughters and their spouses. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom which were all so comfortable and very modern. We stayed for four nights but wish we could've stayed longer!
Lea's brother, Matt, welcomed my daughters and their spouses warmly on Friday and shared lots of helpful information. And Lea was always so responsive and accommodating even before our arrival, answering our questions very thoroughly and quickly.
We felt right at home and spent a lot of time sprawling out in the lovely sun-filled living room and the big, open kitchen. The neighborhood is vibrant and fun with a real local flair - we enjoyed exploring many of the great shops, cafes and restaurants in the area. We also spent a lot of time at the nearby boulangerie (the best in Paris!), Du Pain et Des Idees, and local pub, Chez Prune. Overall - a truly 5 star experience all around and hope we can return soon!
We were received by Matt who was very kind , showing us everything in the house and giving us all the information we need to get through the neighbourhood .
All the recommendations we're superb, great restaurants , shops places to visit.
The apartment was much better and bigger than we expected, we are a family of 5 and was more than comfortable... the place is simply amazing ...
