Lea answered all my messages really fast and was super kind. I hope to come back again soon !!! thanks Lea and Matt!
Próximo a metrô, mercados, lojas diversas, bares, restaurantes. Lea é muito atenciosa e nos foi muito solicita. Fui com 9 pessoas, sendo 4 já com mais de 60 e todos se adaptaram muito bem. As crianças também adoraram! Foi ótimo!!!
Beautiful apartment in a great location. Great hosts with excellent local recommendations.
The interaction we had with our formal host - Lea Weber - was by means of Airbnb mailing system, only, and only before our arrival in Paris. We did not meet her face to face; Our actual host was Lea's brother - Mat, who met us in the apartment, as we checked in.
Mat was very friendly and efficient. He provided all necessary information and explanations, so we could easily start our vacation. During our stay, we did not have any problem, nor complaint, so we did not have a need for additional interaction with our host(s). We only made a single call to Mat, before we left - to say good-bye.
However, we do have some reservations:
1. We knew in advance that, due to our strict flights schedule, we'll arrive at the apartment 1 - 2 hours prior to the agreed, formal Check in time. I asked Lea to kindly let us store our luggage in the apartment (under my own full responsibility) as we arrive, and while we wait in a Cafe in the neighbourhood, for the agreed check-in time. Lea, determinedly, turned me down and we all had to wait outside, in a Cafe, with the luggage, for about an hour and a half. It was an unpleasant experience.
2. I can say only good things about the apartments, beside this: it can comfortably host three family-units and cannot not comfortably host four (as we were - four family-units - 8 persons). Three of the bedrooms are fie. The forth is not.
The information we received prior to our visit was accurate and helpful. All my questions were answered promptly and politely.
The description of the apartment was very good although we all felt in reality it was even better than we could have imagined! We ended up spending more time in the apartment than we had expected (long chatty breakfasts and wine fuelled lunches!) as it was so beautiful, warm and comfortable.
The neighbourhood felt safe and was a joy to explore- the local boulangerie and the 'Prune' were delights.
We were a party of six adults so all had private en suite facilities. The two comfortable sofa beds would have allowed a further four people in comfort. We would all recommend the apartment and surrounding area to other visitors and we would love to go back.
The host, Matt, was forthcoming. He met us at the apartment and showed us how things work in the apartment. He speaks very good English and left us his mobile number just in case we need assistance at any time. On the last night of our 7 day stay, the heater was not working. We called him and he gave us instructions over the phone on how we could get the heater started again. Thanks for that.
A very convenient location and though the apartment is about 200 years old, it is homey and comfortable with modern bathrooms and all the modern convenience. I love the doors that opened to the balcony, provides good fresh air. An organic store just a few doors away. A bakery and supermarket round the bend. Metro is nearby. Walking distance to food of many nations - Istanbul, Japan, India, Vietnamese, Chinese, American Pizza, French Creperie, etc. Spoiled for choices!
