Interaction with Guests

My little apartment is located in Monteverde Vecchio, a quiet and secure part of the city. Various local amenities are available within walking distance: Supermarkets, various shops, coffeshops, Italian traditional restaurants and pizzerias, and some of the best Italian ice-cream shops in the city. In addition, close to a small colorful open cheap market for fresh fruit, vegetables etc. every morning. My apartment is not far from Trastevere, and it is possible to have a walk to the best viewpoint in Rome: Janiculum Hill. . Monteverde is the greenest district of Rome and immediately outside the apartment, you will find Villa Pamphili (the largest park in Rome) an amazing green area for jogging and leisure.
The apartment is well connected by bus and tram to Rome's historical centre. From the bus stop just a few metres from the apartment you can take the bus straight to the heart of the historical centre in 15-20 minutes
Other Things to Note
If you are in Rome a Sunday you must visit the famous Porta Portese flea market in Trastevere still part of the true Italian culture.
Smoking is not allowed.
The bin should be emptied every time is full and the day of departure. There are garbage bins on the street.
Please leave the windows open as much as as possible still being comfortable while staying in my place! (it's safe) Thank you very much!
Lis Mari's home is excellent. I stayed here with my girlfriend for 6 nights and have no complaints whatsoever. It's about 20-30 minutes from the centre of Rome, although there is a handful of great restaurants and Gelaterias within 5 minutes walk. Lis Mari's daughter met us on arrival and showed us around and gave us some information which was very helpful. Lis Mari also provides excellent communication and helped us to decide the best way to get to the apartment. I would honestly recommend this home for anyone staying in Rome, it's beside a beautiful park and within a very friendly neighbourhood. If I return to Rome, I won't hesitate to book again! Thanks Lis Mari!
We had an amazing stay! This was the best AirBNB we stayed at during our trip through Europe. Lis Marie met us at the flat and provided us with lots of info including public transportation.
Make sure to go to the Gelateria that she recommends just up the street. It is amazing!
The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked and the flat was very nicely decorated.
Lis was very welcoming. She helped us call for a taxi when we were leaving, and her husband and daughter were kind enough to pick us up at the the airport when we arrived. That was a tremendous courtesy.
I went to Rome with my mother and we had a great time, thanks to the well accommodated apartment of Lis Mari. She's a wonderful host and helps you to plan your route from airport to apartment. She also has a book with a lot of suggestions of routes, restaurants, etcetera. The apartment is quite small but very clean and cosy and includes everything you need. The ceiling in the bedroom is very low but you'll adapt soon enough! The neighborhood is very green with a big park, supermarket, several bus stops, good restaurant en caffe with friendly service.
I would say, just go for it and have a great time!
We had a wonderful time at Lis Mari's listing in Rome! Check-in was hassle free, the apartment was clean and well stocked, and we were given lots of useful information. The house is beside a wonderful park, and midway between the major attractions in Rome!
Lis-Mari's apartment is a genuine wonder close to one of the most beautiful public parks of Rome, the famous Villa Pamphili, and only 20 minutes left from the town centre by bus. The flat itself is a tiny and charming place (despite the lack of natural light), fully furnished, even if you want to cook. We had the great pleasure to meet a wonderful dog in the courtyard, who became our everyday companion, even at night ;-) The only small reservations I have go to the road traffic, which was pretty hectic even at night and a (however very nice) neighbour, who listened to radio/TV pretty loud at night too. Nevertheless, I would not hesitate to live at Lis Mari's place again. Because Lis Mari, and her daughter, are also very friendly hosts. Thank you so much to both of you!
Thank you for your nice review, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. You're right, the traffic often is intense and might be loud and disturbing when you sleep on the sofa bed in the living room as it is very close to the street. Fortunately, the courtyard side where the double bed is, is normally silent, at least if you do not want to have a chat with the neighbors dog .....I have to figure out who the new deaf neighbor is, it's the first time I hear about him, maybe I could ask him to use headphones or offer him some Chamomile tea?
Our stay at Lis Mari's property was exceptional. She was very patient with us as we were running late for our check-in, and the place was fully supplied with everything we needed. Communication was excellent throughout the experience. We're glad that our stay was handled so well, so that we could spend our time exploring instead of worrying about accommodation issues. We highly recommend staying at Lis Mari's property.
