Interaction with Guests
I will not be there with you during your stay, but you can use the house phone to call me, whenever you want to, I'm always willing to lend you a hand.
My little apartment is located in Monteverde Vecchio, a quiet and secure part of the city. Various local amenities are available within walking distance: Supermarkets, various shops, coffeshops, Italian traditional restaurants and pizzerias, and some of the best Italian ice-cream shops in the city. In addition, close to a small colorful open cheap market for fresh fruit, vegetables etc. every morning. My apartment is not far from Trastevere, and it is possible to have a walk to the best viewpoint in Rome: Janiculum Hill. . Monteverde is the greenest district of Rome and immediately outside the apartment, you will find Villa Pamphili (the largest park in Rome) an amazing green area for jogging and leisure.
The apartment is well connected by bus and tram to Rome's historical centre. From the bus stop just a few metres from the apartment you can take the bus straight to the heart of the historical centre in 15-20 minutes
Other Things to Note
If you are in Rome a Sunday you must visit the famous Porta Portese flea market in Trastevere still part of the true Italian culture.
Smoking is not allowed.
The bin should be emptied every time is full and the day of departure. There are garbage bins on the street.
Please leave the windows open as much as as possible still being comfortable while staying in my place! (it's safe) Thank you very much!
Our stay at Lis Mari's property was exceptional. She was very patient with us as we were running late for our check-in, and the place was fully supplied with everything we needed. Communication was excellent throughout the experience. We're glad that our stay was handled so well, so that we could spend our time exploring instead of worrying about accommodation issues. We highly recommend staying at Lis Mari's property.
Lis Mari's apartment was precious and exactly as welcoming as we had seen in the pictures. It was cosy and colorful and had all we needed for our 5 day stay in Rome! The hot water was enough for two showers, we found coffee and a moka (which made me really happy)! We didn't go much around in the neighborhood, but there are plenty of possibilities if you want to have breakfast/lunch/dinner in the area! It takes around 20-30 min to reach the city center and at the very beginning it was a little hard to get familiar with which buses/trams to take, but in the end we managed! Unfortunately we did not get to know Lis Mari in person, but her instructions and her precise e-mails were really helpful! Rome is a magnificent city and although we saw most of the must-seen parts, we definitely need to come back and hopefully stay again at Lis Mari's cosy little place! :)
We absolutely loved Lis Mari's place in Monteverde! Literally across the street from our new favorite public park in Rome and easy access to all parts of the city, we couldn't have asked for a better location. The house was cozy and comfortable too, and Lis Mari was a joy.
Perfect cosy little house for a stay in Rome. Perfectly equiped and comfortable. We had no problems with warm water: we could both take a shower and do the dishes.
I was here with my daughter, there was enough room for both of us, because of the two beds.
Just a little walk to tram 8 which takes you to to the centre, nice ride. Restaurant and supermarket in the neigbourhood, and a tabacci for the tramtickets. Perfect!
Two minor points of critisism: a dog barking (at night also), and noisy traffic in the street. If I could I would rent this house again!!
Liz Mari's place is very nice. Perfect for 2 people. It is a little bit outside of the centre but in 25-30 min. by tram or bus you can easily go there (Liz has a bunch of routedescriptions where and which bus to take etc..) We even walked once to Trastevere, which is a very cool neighbourhood, and it wasn't that far. She has a lot of maps and guides in the appartment. There is some nice at night from the street and the limited warm water in the shower is a bit annoying. But after all it is a good flat for a good price in Rome! The bed was comfortable as well. And Rome is a fantastic city! Thankx for the loverly welcome Liz Mari!
Me and my wife spent nearly a week in Rome in this tiny but nevertheless very cozy and stylish apartment. Lis Mari is an extremely helpful and kind host, she has thought through every single detail to make your stay comfortable.
We really liked the location - it is not a loud touristic area, but still it is very close to main attractions. We enjoyed walking to Vatican city and Trastevere, but if you don't feel like it - bus and tram stops are just nearby. Park in font of the apartment is awesome - you can get a "picnic package" from a caffe just inside the park and spend the day just lying on the grass under the sun.
