Giovanni was an excellent host and accommodated our family of four (2 adults and 2 children) in his unit. The unit is comfortable and it is located close to autostrada/A-Roads and Pozzuoli. Pozzuoli contains the Vulcano Solfatara which is only 10 mins drive from the unit and it is worth exploring.
Giordano is a very good host who responded quickly to our queries. He met us on arrival and gave a very comprehensive briefing on the apartment and the local area. His speaks excellent English and we had no difficulty understanding each other.
The apartment, while compact, is modern, well designed and nicely decorated. The apartment comprises a lounge/dining area, a large bedroom, kitchen and bathroom [shower, toilet, bidet]. The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering. The apartment was spotlessly clean on our arrival and being on the side of the apartment block away from the main street is reasonably quiet.
The washing machine, a very efficient/effective front loader, is located in the kitchen. For heating there are efficient heat pumps in the lounge and bedroom which can double as air conditioners in the summer.
The apartment has TV/DVD player and the TV Sky package will allow one to switch to the original language of the programme being viewed. Very handy for non-Italian speakers, particularly if you speak English.
The apartment is about a 10 minute walk to the metro on the other side of San Paulo Stadium. Six stops to city centre; four to Via Toledo one of the other main shopping streets. One does not need a car in Naples unless intending to travel outside the city.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Giordano’s apartment. It met our requirement very well. Thanks, Giordano, for helping make our short stay in Naples very enjoyable.
Giordano was a very knowledgeable host as he used to be in the tour guide business. He was very friendly and helpful in our stay in Naples. His apartment was the perfect location for us because we had a rental car. It is a little bit of a walk though to the Metro (15-20 min).Everything was clean and modern. We were also able to use the private car park for our rental car which was reassuring.
We had a good stay in the Giordano's house. Rooms are clean, well equipped. We used the car for trips to the city center. I recommend
The apartment was nice, roomy, clean and efficient. We received a warm welcome by Giordno's family and later met him in person.
Note on navigation: GPS ((website hidden) and others) show the wrong location for that address. The street is actually one turn East than that, where there is a non-functioning traffic light.
There is a local church on the street, and when it functions, passing by in a car can become an effort.
We had another surprise: a fiesta thrown in honor of a saint, right below the apartment's balcony. Complete with food, singing and a complete (and very loud) fireworks display! Exciting!
Giordano's house is amazing! It is very well located, very clean and comfortable. And besides all that he and his family are both very polite and educated! They did more than we ask to they pick us up in the station and he even took us for a tour around naples! It was an extremely amazing experience!
Giordano was very attentive, in time prepared the apartment, left for us detailed instructions on using and on sights of Naples.
The apartment in a good condition, enjoyed stay.
The apartment was great and everyone in the neighborhood was very helpful when we would ask questions. A small grocery store at the end of the road, along with a great outdoor restaurant and coffee shop (best cappuccino in our 4 weeks in Italy, France and Germany!) the car park next to the apt was perfect and safe. The daytrip to ischia was amazing! Giordino's mother was also very sweet and helpful. Clearly a tightknit community - simply say good day or evening in Italian and anyone there will be more than friendly and helpful!
My wife and two teenage daughters stayed at Giordano's house from June 17- June 20th. The apartment is located in an area about 20 minutes from central Naples. You need to take the local train six stops from the main train station, so you do have to be willing to travel to stay here. It is a very nice apartment with very good bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, and air conditioning. Giordano's mother picked us up at the train station and took us to the apartment and brought us a nice welcome snack, The apartment is in a residential neighborhood with a very narrow street on a hill, but I did not have problems walking here. We did need to take a taxi from the train station to the apartment and back, which was about 12 euros each time. There is a grocery store and nice restaurants within walking distance. We had a very nice stay and I would recommend this apartment for a nice stay.
Giordano's appartement is not really downtown. But close to underground stations and the Napoli "Tangenziale" motorway. So it's easy to go to historical center... or Vesuvio, or whatever you want to visit in Campania.
And Giordano is really the kindest guest you can imagine when renting an apartment!
