The Space

the apartment has just on january 12-17 been re improved and repainted after guests feedback - even better than before.even better crisp and cleanliness is now certain. new towels and robes and tv installed as well as better eating table now. wifi is very fast now. its free for u.

right near - 200 metres - the famous Kings Road and the Thames, just renovated, cool Britannia style, has nice arty and crisp feel and furniture is good and nice oil paintings. with wifi. underfloor heating and good power shower. its down one flight of stairs but as u can see still nice and bright. at 650 sq feet its not that small :-) . the front entrance isnt beautiful. see pictures of building. its a Victorian residence building of classic London 19th Century style. in a fabulous location for the heart of Chelsea. Buses right outside to Victoria, Waterloo, Kings road, Kensington, museums, Battersea, Notting Hill etc and Sloane Square tube is 10 minutes walk. The Thames River is 2 minutes walk and Battersea Park and Chelsea Bridge are very close. Lots of great and famous restaurants like Bluebird and Gordon Ramseys are very nearby as well as unusual Italian, french, Seafood,Cuban, and bars and clubs are not far. Saatchi Gallery is 10 minutes walk. But this flat is very quiet in a little street with no traffic . A real cool area to hang out. its almost impossible to find a lovely lil flat in this area. and its a usually safe area day and night. supermarket 5 mins walk open 6 am to 11 pm . great value too. tesco.

The Neighborhood

Chelsea is one of the very best parts of London, and we r near the famous Kings Road. The location is very safe. average values of houses and apartments here are £1 -5 million.

The location is absolutely fantastic, with many London attractions within walking distance:
- popular museums: Victoria& Albert Museum, Natural History Museum, Science Museum- 10 min walk
- parks: Battersea Park (5 min walk), Hyde Park (20 min walk)
- Albert Bridge- 5 min walk
- Harrods- 15 min walk
- Chelsea Footbal Club- 10 min walk
- Chelsea Flower Show- 10 min walk
- Royal Hospital Chelsea- 10 min walk
- Royal Albert Hall- 20 min walk
- Saatchi Gallery- 10 min walk

Great transport links- bus stop just one minute away from the apartment (direct buses to Piccadilly, Victoria, Westminster, Notting Hill, Westfield shopping centre and The City) and two tube stations nearby:

- South Kensington- 10-12 min walk (District, Circle and Piccadilly lines);
on Piccadilly is a direct link to the Heathrow Airport and you only need 5-10 min on the tube to get to Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square and Covent Garden; on District line within minutes you get to Victoria station, Westminster (where Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and Houses of Parliament are) or Richmond Park.

- Sloane Square- 15 min walk (District and Circle lines)
Circle line will take you to Notting Hill in 5 minutes, and going east you can easily get to the City and the Tower of London.

Tesco supemarket just around the corner, plus Waitrose and Marks& Spencer- 5 min walk.

For fashion shopping, discover the variety of shops on the King's Road, with some unique gems, like Vivienne Westwood’s “World's End” shop with its surreal clock.
For designer clothes, head to Sloane Street (10 min walk), where the most exclusive fashion brands have their shops (Chanel, Dior, Chloe, Gucci, Prada, Valentino, Cartier, Tiffany, and many many more).
And of course, the world famous Harrods department store with its lavish interior and over 300 departments is “a must”, especially during Christmas time.

Within a 5-10 minute walk you will find dozens of places to eat and drink:
- great selection of cafes: coffee chains like Starbucks or Cafe Nero, and lots of the independent ones
- great bakeries (Gail's, Le Pain Quotidien, Paul)
- gastropubs where you can have a drink and have a decent meal, as well (Pig's Ear just around the corner, Cadogans Arms- 1 min away- btw, favourite pub of the Chelsea FC players, where you can often spot them, especially on the weekends)
- variety of restaurants- British, Italian, French, French, Dutch, Indian, Middle Eastern, Japanese, etc. There are also a few restaurants run by the British celebrity chefs. Two of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants are just 5 min away- exclusive “Gordon Ramsay”(3 Michelin stars) and less expensive “Foxtrot Oscar”). Marco Pierre White's King's Rd. Steakhouse is just 5 min away, serving the best of traditional English cuisine.

  • Tom and Emma were great to deal with . Effective communicators and quick to respond to our needs .
The Studio flat was perfect for our 18 day stay for my husband and I. Well equipped and filled with light. Everything we needed for our stay was provided.
Location is great for access to central London with buses on very regular routes along Kings Rd with easy access to Victoria Station and the Tube .

  • This is the first time we have used Airbnb (although we have used a similar service before), and it was also our first trip to Europe. My husband and I were there for 5 nights for our anniversary before heading to Ireland. Thomas responded quickly to emails both before and during the trip. Emma was also eager to help and address concerns. The flat is located in a great area. We only used the metro for transportation, and it was about a mile walk each way. Check out the New Culture Revolution (noodles and dumplings), and take the chili peppers on the menu seriously if you order something spicy. We ate there 3 days in a row. The Sporting Page was our favorite bar/pub. I asked Thomas about a good spot for a run, and he suggested Battersea Park, which was only a 1/2 mile away. It was beautiful, and it was a great way to start the day. The flat is exactly how it looks in the picture (with the bed behind that beveled glass), but for some reason I thought it would be bigger - not a big deal though - "cozy" should have clued me in. There were also some things missing that we expected - electrical adapter, wine opener, hand soap, paper towels, and coffee maker (I might sound dumb saying this, but I didn't know how to work the coffee press). My understanding is that they are restocking an adapter and a wine opener. There is a small grocery store up the road, so we bought some odds like hand soap, wine opener, instant coffee, cereal and milk, and wine and beer. We brought a travel-sized laundry detergent and did a few loads of laundry when we were there, and that was very convenient. The only odd thing that happened logistically was that my Airbnb confirmation email cited a different address in Chelsea (although Thomas sent me directions to the right flat... I just didn't realize the two were different and I referenced the wrong one and we ended up at the wrong place). I would recommend staying here if you're looking for an affordable place in a very nice neighborhood. I would recommend this for 2 people (and not more) though since it's cozy.

  • Recommend this quiet, safe, secure and well-equipped flat. Stayed here a week as a couple. Pictures do represent the flat and past reviews have covered pretty well everything. Ideal location in groovy Chelsea with bus routes outside the door, around the corner and up the street on Kings Road taking you to many different areas. Recommend buying Oyster Card for cheap bus and train fares. Thomas replied almost immediately to all enquiries and Emma was attentive ensuring we had good fast wifi and providing some initial breakfast supplies - cereal milk bagels and cream cheese. Emma also organised for a shower screen to be installed while we were out one day. Previously the floor would get a drenching when we showered. Would stay here again.

  • The apartment is beautiful as shown in the pictures. The location is very good. The neighborhood is great. Although not close to the subway, the apartment is well served by several bus lines, through which one can get to the nearest station in about 10 minutes.
I highly recommend the apartment and Thomas, who always answered quickly and honestly, which gave me even more security by choosing your beautiful apartment.

  • Can't count the number of times I've stayed here. Great place and wonderful support from Emma. It's the only place I would consider staying in London.

  • The location was very nice with many nice restaurants around. The River Themes and Battersea Park are in the walking distance. Though our flight was delayed, the host was very flexible in changing the check-in time.

  • We had great time in London, at Burleigh House.
Emma and Thomas have been very helpful and kind, have allowed us to anticipate check in
The apt is well located and good served by pubblic transport. (The bus stop right in front of the house, and the underground station is 15/20 walking )
The apartment is nice and comfortable.
