Apartment in the heart of Marais

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Rue Saint-Paul, Paris, Île-de-France 75004, France

The Space

The apartment is located in the center of le Marais, in the rue Saint-Paul, in front of a nice bakery, some nice littel cafes, the Monoprix supermarket, and the Saint Paul's village with his second hand dealers and vintage shops. Very charming.
Three Metros and many buses are located three minutes away.
Three cinemas are at three minutes away too ..
At the end of the street, there is the famous Ile Saint Louis.
It is located near the celebre Place des Vosges et Notre Dame.
The appartement is very nice and atypic.
It is very calm, there is a kind of a little garden with a lot of flowers. It's perfect for a little family ( 4 people ) or a couple on their honeymoon for example, there is a lot of place ( it's 60 m2 ), there's a big living room, a big kitchen, a wonderful patio, a nice bathroom and a room.
It is the "country side 'atmospher".
For future guests: If you come late at night, you can still go out! I recommend walking to Ile de la Cité and Ile St Louis up to Louvre, and come back with the metro M1. You will be amazed at what you can see in such little time! The metro station St Paul is only a few minutes away from the apartment. In the morning, there are two bakeries around the corner, both are great :-) And try the Velib bikes (rental costs only 1,70€ once!): Paris can be exhausting thru much walking. Here again, there is a Velib station at StPaul-StLouis Church.

  • Corinne’s flat is still very pleasant to live. This is my third stay there. This time I came with a friend of mine and we slept in diffrentes rooms. The lounge for me, the bedroom for him without disturbing us. Since Corinne repainted the bathroom, it’s even more beautiful. Corinne, the owner of the apartment, is charming and smily. She leaves on the table some french bread and an excellent tea for her hosts. In the bathroom, you can find everything a traveller needs : towels, soap, shower gel, toothpaste. You can feel her desire to make you feel at home.
The apartment is incredible. So charming: exposed beams, a delicious patio and beautiful flowers. It's like countryside in Paris.
The living room is very spacy, with three large windows. One of them to a beautiful patio. There are beams, and even a chimney.
The bedroom is made for travelers. You can find a large map of the world and traveling books. The kitchen is very large, very pretty.
The bathroom is white and blue, very pleasant, with a brand new shower.
The apartment is clean and very calm. It is located in the heart of "The Marais", in the center of Paris : a vibrant area with many stores, small sidewalks cafe, bars, bakeries. Next door to "L'Ile Saint-Louis", Notre Dame, the Seine, the "Place des Vosges", the district of the second-hand goods dealers.
I went there because I needed some calm to work. I’ll go back there as soon as possible.

  • La casa di Corinne è molto carina, mi mancava la privacy perche le camere non sono veramente separate meglio per due persone che per tre.

  • The space was incredibly quaint and perfect for my visit. Corinne was so accommodating and even let me ship some work packages to her home nearby. The location's great for someone traveling on foot but also near a metro station. Had a great experience, thanks Corinne!

  • Great location. At the start of st paul village. Very romantic place. Coriinne was super helpful.

  • Corinne was very accommodating from the very beginning. She waited for my arrival and took the time to get me familiar with the apartment. The apartment is spacious and very central to everything you need. It is the perfect base for a weekend break.

    Thanks again Corinne.

  • Corinne was extremely charming and helpful assisting with a flexible arrival, showing us over the flat and ordering a taxi for us on our departure. She responded promptly to all messages. Her flat is unusually spacious and calm for the middle of Paris - we loved the convenience of the location. A curious arrangement of rooms and levels, with a faded charm. The dishwasher not working was not a problem but it would be good to have a fixture reinstalled to hold the flexible shower hose in the shower. Great base for four good friends.

    Response from Corinne:

Karen and her husband are very gracious hosts. For The dishwasher, it does not work but I said in the announcement airbnb. For the the flexible shower, it works now. I had not seen. If Karen had called me during his stay, he was repaired immediately. I have a repairman coming soon for these problems.
For the next guests, do not hesitate to call me, I want my guests enjoy their stay.

  • Really nice apartment where we felt good Paris atmosphere. We had perfect time there. Next time we'd like to stay there again. Very good location. We had No problems with check in and check out.

  • As ex-Parisian I was looking for a central location in order to show the city to some friends. I couldn't find a better place! Very functional for 4, and a real surprise when coming in. A big kitchen with everything you'd need for a long stay, a great view on the inner yard that many other guests already praised, comfortable beds...

Corinne made sure she could meet us, she was absolutely flexible with our checkin/checkout times (our train had a 2hr delay) and very responsive and helpful, she likes meeting her guests and that is so much appreciated!

  • There is no disputing the perfect location. There is a great deal of potential with the flat, a day's renovation and cleaning is all it needs.
The flat is also very peaceful and feels like an authentic piece of history.
There is very little ventilation making it musky and damp, a few fans would keep the air moving.
There is no privacy in the downstairs bedroom if there were 2 couples staying, just a curtain.
The wifi code was inexplicably complex, more than the enigma code, there were several versions, none worked. A bit frustrating as we could not look up places to visit, plan a route, etc.

However, who wants to stay in the apartment when outside is so beautiful? We used the bed and the shower, that's all we needed so we had a lovely time.
    Cheers Corinne.

    Response from Corinne:

I'm sad reading this comment. Ben is right about the problem of air because it's not my usual cleaning woman who took care of the house. My maid was on vacation for a week. And I'm on vacation too. But I regret that Ben writes all this without trying to call me. I do not have his phone number, but Ben had my number. If he had called me, I would have called another housekeeper.

Especially I would have given him the right number WIFI. It works perfectly. I'ts the first time it happens.

And of course, I would be happy to offer him another weekend. He will see that the apartment is like writing my lovely hosts.

Other positive comments always were a good reason to call me. I knew nothing and did not leave me his phone number. It failed to operate the wifi. It was therefore impossible for me to help him. I regret it.
In the room, there is a door and a separation.
I am sad for his visit. I usually never rented for two days in August because my apartment is in great demand. But I wanted to make him happy because he wanted a romantic weekend. And now he leaves me only bad comment on my profile! I think airbnb mind is also to communicate. I wish to communicate and solve these problems. That was easy.

    Cheers, Corinne
