We had a very lovely stay at Francesco's. The place is very clean and bright, located in a really great area - very near Vatican City by foot and there were plenty of restaurants around. Francesco's father, Alberto met us and explained everything we needed to know. Both he and Francesco were very accommodating. We once had a problem with switching on the heating at night but when we called Francesco to ask about it, they both did not hesitate to come to the apartment to fix it even though it was already in the evening. and we also loved how they stocked the kitchen with the essentials to start our stay right!
Over all, we would definitely recommend Francesco's place to family and friends and to anyone looking for a place to stay in Rome. Looking forward to staying here again the next time we visit.
My 2 girlfriends and I stayed at Giona's House for 4 nights and absolutely loved it. It is close enough to everything to be able to walk to most of main monuments (Vatican, Castel Sant'Angelo, Piazza Navona, etc) the but sufficiently away for the main tourist hubs that you feel you are actually living the Roman life.
It is spacious, luminous, quiet and very clean. We were hosted by Francesco's father who explained to us how everything worked around the house. We never saw Francesco but he was prompt to respond when I texted him to get some advices on restaurants in the neighborhood. We would definitely go back to Giona's House!
We had lovely time in Rome and in Francesco's house, The house was safe and clean. It was walking distance to Vatican, we used metro and bus for city center. At first night we had a problem with heating but Francesco came and solved our problem quickly. One of the rooms situated at the street side has a bit street noise during the night but we was so tired of walking and visiting the city that it didn't bother us at all. There was a nice Roman restaurant in the same street we loved there and there was a jazz club called Alexanderplatz near house area we also recommend there people staying in this house.
Finally we highly recommend Francesco's house to people coming to Rome we also want to come again..
A wonderful place to see Rome. The apartment was clean, functional and comfortable. It was very convenient for accessing the metro to see all of the sites of Rome and it was within walking distance of the Vatican. I would stay here again in future trips.
Francesco's father met us at the apartment--very friendly and helpful. A bottle of wine was there for us along with some other goodies. The apartment is light and airy and well-located. We really enjoyed our stay there!
My husband and I and our 2 children spent 9 wonderful days in Francesco's charming apartment over Christmas 2013. It was our first trip to Rome and as soon as we arrived we felt immersed in the culture and life of this ancient city. Hearing the bells chime at the Vatican was a special highlight. The apartment is roomy and comfortable. I particularly enjoyed cooking in the well appointed kitchen after a trip to the Trionfale Markets nearby (There is a market trolley in the pantry cupboard). Other local gems I found thanks to the Eat Rome App are Bonci "best Baker in Rome" on Via Luca Valerino and Fatamorgana for amazing artisan organic gelato on via G Bettolo. We also had a beautiful meal on Christmas eve at Romeo on Via Silla.
Francesco was a most gracious host leaving us with a few supplies and lots of good advice to get us going. His apartments is very well situated near the Vatican which we visited a number times over the Christmas period. It is also only a short walk to the metro and you can pretty much be anywhere in Rome in just a few short stops. My last piece of advice for anyone staying in this apartment is to make sure you check out the wonderfully eclectic vintage store right next door. I only discovered it late on our last night and wished I could have spent longer digging through the lovingly collected treasures. You are sure to find a unique souvenir of Rome here.
Très agréable séjour dans cet appartement parfait pour un couple et deux enfants: deux chambres et deux belles salles de bains. Propreté, linge de toilette, cuisine largement équipée avec le nécessaire pour le petit déjeuné (même une bouteille de lait au frigidaire à l'arrivée !! ). Le quartier est agréable résidentiel un peu en dehors du centre, à 10 min à pieds du métro, 15 min à pieds du Vatican. Il y a quelques restaurants sympathiques et raisonnables en prix autour de l'appartement. Nous n'avons pas eu la chance de rencontrer le propriétaire mais avons été très bien accueillis par le père qui habite juste à coté;
Belle expérience à renouveler et recommander
Absolutely wonderful stay at Francesco' s place. Greeted on arrival by his Dad who was great and showed us around the apartment. Printouts about Romes attractions on table, bottle of wine in the kitchen. The place was clean, comfortable, attractive and only a few minutes away from the Vatican and lots of restaurants and the Metro to get anywhere else you want to.
We recommend Francesco and his place very much!
Nice stay in Francesco's place.very good location,very sweet apartment.we enjoyed a loooot!Francesco is very nice,provide many useful information for visit Roma.BTW,there is a very tasty pizza shop near the apartment.
I went to Rome with my parents and husband and needless to say had a fantastic time. Our stay at Francesco´s apartment added to the experience. Perfectly located, just 10min walk to the Vatican. Airy and bright with everything that you need, even a great choice of videos if you feel like putting your feet up for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Francesco was very accommodating and allowed us to check in early as we had a particularly early flight. He also left us some fresh milk and italian coffee to start our day off on the right food. I would highly recommend.
