  • Chris was very easy to communicate with and responded to my questions very quickly. The property manager Liz was easy to get in touch with as we were driving to Sedona and she stopped by during our stay to take the trash to the curb and we had a nice chat.

We had a wonderful time at My Sedona Place and didn't have any problems with the house whatsoever. The house is quite nice and gets a good amount of natural light. The tile floor is not as severe as it appears in the pictures.

There is a Safeway grocery store just down the street and easy access to downtown Sedona and Red Rock state park. The place comes with some passes for Red Rock, and some other passes. Be sure to look through those when you arrive.

The "pull out cot" is actually a pretty nice fold out bed. My sister joined us halfway through our visit and slept on the cot without any complaints.

The acoustics are a bit odd, owing to the unique shape of the interior. If someone were speaking from the mezzanine it was impossible to tell where they were; it sounded like they were everywhere.

If you want to play videos you'll want to bring something with an HDMI cable, or Blu Rays or DVDs. There is cable TV otherwise. The wireless internet worked great.

All in all, a great place to stay! Thanks Chris!

  • Getting to experience the dome home was a treat! The location was perfectly accessibly both to town and the outdoors with great walking trails right out the backdoor in a spacious neighborhood. The house was cozy, comfortable and a great setting for a team retreat where we enjoyed using the well stocked kitchen. Liz & Chris were kind & accommodating to several specific requests. We highly recommend this fun little corner of the world on the vortex!

  • We had a great stay at My Sedona house, we look forward to a return visit in the future.

  • I rented this place with a friend for a week of mountain biking, and we could not have enjoyed it more. It's comfortable, attractively furnished and clean, not to mention unusual. It's quiet at night, with a great view of starry skies, yet just a few minutes to town. And it's a great base from which to explore the trails of Sedona -- we did a few rides right from the house, and many more rides/hikes are a short drive away. Chris and Liz were helpful and very easy to work with. We'll be back!

  • My Sedona Place was indeed, HOME SWEET HOME! We picked your home for a reunion of long time friends for a renewed connection and spiritual healing. We found all that we yearned for. Chris was very informative about the surroundings and gave us great tips of wonderful eateries and fantastic ideas for touring this beautiful Red Rock Country! Liz greeted us with sincere warmth and shared many ideas of how we could fill our spiritual selves during our journey. I wrote a poem that says just how wonderful it all was.
Constellations in the sky, so bright and bring delight,
Red mother earth allows one to have insight,
Touring the vortex's and Church of Holy Cross,
We found fulfilness spiritually and released all loss.
Comfort found in your home of many, we felt at peace and were filled with plenty.
All our needs met, we were all set.
Our stay was short but long in needing, we filled our beings and nurtured new seeding.
Liz was so gracious, her smile warm and tender, her Native American Guide remained our protector.
So our stay was all we asked for it to be, although brief it allowed us to truly see.
My Sedona Place was truly special. It was clean and offered everything from full kitchen, clean linens, towels and nice spaciousness for comfort. The crystals nicely placed around the home were so beautiful and upon our arrival Liz gifted each of us a crystal of our own! Such a welcome we received. The energy surrounding us in this dome abode was clear and supportive in our quest. Being encompassed between Cathedral Rock Vortex and Thunder Mountain we felt spiritually connected the entire weekend. We highly recommend MY SEDONA PLACE for anyone who wants to be completely comforted.
Our many blessings and thanks to Chris and Liz

  • The house was amazing. Liz, the house manager was amazing. Thank you!! Will totally stay again.

    January 2014
  • Chris and Liz ( an excellent house manager ) have prepared an
amazing place, to visit and allow a comfortable home base for
adventures in civilized Sedona shops /resturants or wild jagged mountains. The location was close to town + yet so quite at a
very private end of a street which gave the feeling of separateness with beautiful veiws from windows and deck. I was
entranced but the upstairs bedroom and full bathroom with huge triangular skylights. .. the full moon and stars were breath-
taking , as it was from the deck...
I loved this special dome home, well built, maintained
and out fitted in a most thoughtful complete way... nice kitchen +
it had all the good quality pots, pans, dishes, glassware and
utensils we could need, also furnishings good, but could have used more soft surfaces to help with scale + echo... Probably my
only criticism is all the massive expanse of uninterrupted white, it
is architecturally pure to the geodesic dome.Yet I found myself
almost searching for a ladybug...or art integrated up high. The
specimen crystal formations and fabulous rocks were just yummy
to have around. As I wrote in the guest book I think what was most telling for me personally was not wanting to leave this
Sedona Dome home... a lovely welcoming place for us 3 or up to
    6. Future hope to come back maybe in autumn for a longer visit...
house was all I hoped it would be plus all the extra the little extras to make it smooth and very comfortable. . .Thanks for all
the thought , kind touches and creating this special vacation rental. . .

  • My Sedona Place was the perfect place for our week in Sedona. It's a great location not far from all the great things Sedona has to offer. The house was so cozy and had a true Sedona feel to it. Something you can't get from a resort.

Chris went above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate our family. Not only was the house well kept but he wrote me a lengthy e-mail with advice on places to eat, areas to visit, trails to hike, etc. It was incredibly helpful as this was our first visit to Sedona.

I would 100% stay at My Sedona Place again and highly recommend it!

    Response from Chris:

Mark and his brother chose My Sedona Place for their parent's wedding anniversary holiday - and they were great guests! I'm glad we were able to provide a place for them to get to know Sedona a bit, and I'd be happy to welcome them back anytime. (Oh, and congrats to your parents, too!)

  • After 17 years, we returned to our Honeymoon city of Sedona with our children. This was our first experience with Airbnb, and our experience with Chris Vilcsak and Liz ensured that we will come back to Sedona and use Airbnb again. My Sedona Place is exactly as advertised, and a great location to explore Sedona and the surrounding area. Buckminster Fuller would be proud of this home! It's roomy, comfortable and a real value for the money. LIz was helpful and kind, and our visit went without a hitch. Our kids loved this place too. There are so many dining choices within a 2 miles of this place, it was hard to choose, but Liz and Chris did a nice job of pointing out favorites, leaving brochures, cards, and local information for our consumption. They also left coupons, park tags, and other helpful tools to make our visit easy. Thank you Chris! We had a wonderful time. S & T

  • We just got back from our trip to Arizona and I have to say one of the best things was My Sedona Place! We were a party of 4 and had so much room and space! The entire place was impeccably clean and wonderfully decorated. As soon as we arrived, we immediately felt at home. My Sedona Place was our home base, so to say. We took Chris' suggestions and ran with them. We stopped in Cameron before heading to the Grand Canyon. Thanks Chris - we were impressed with the food and the finds there! Also, we went to Slide Rock State Park. BRRRRR!!! The water was freezing, but so exhilerating! How beautiful. Sunsets on Airport Road were spectacular! Jerome was a cool, hippy place - my favorite restaurant - The Haunted Hamber. I will dream about those burgers for years to come! Liz was so wonderful. I have been to other airbnb's and no can compare to the hospitality that Liz offered, calling us to check up on us, making suggestions, etc! From the start Chris has been wonderful with emailing suggestions, check in information, Liz's contact information, etc. If there is anything I can complain about it would be that I couldn't stay longer. We fell in love with My Sedona Place. We kept discussing how we could pick it up and move it to our own area! Of course, this was after we had a few bottles of wine, sitting on the porch, looking at the amazing view of stars at night! Thanks again for a wonderful vacation! You have a beautiful home!

Have you ever thought about where we come from - where the carbon and the other elements in our body come from? When you realize that they're the remnants of exploded stars from billions of years ago, and they will once again become part of something else in billions of years - well, it puts our existence here into perspective. Let's just say my components have traveled far further and have lives far longer than I myself will expect to... but, what a ride I'm giving them! Besides, who wants to leave this planet w/a body that still has the potential for miles and miles and years? Places I've loved include: * Edmonton (yes cold in the winter but the skies are clear and it's a dry cold, and the summers are so kick-ass we're still cooling down for months) - I mean, where else besides the Arctic do you get summer sun until 11 PM and an early morning sunrise at 5:30 that will blow your mind? * Nepal - Kathmandu has some of the worst air quality and yet some of the most incredible sites you'll ever see! Trekking in the Himalayas will always be a fabulous memory... * Peru - and of course, Cusco and experiencing live local music in a nightclub hidden off a back alley full of Cusquenos at 4 AM on Peruvian Independence Day, and being the only foreigner there, and then revisiting it with my sons a few years later... and then the mountains and Inca sites and Machu Picchu and and and... * Sedona, AZ - yes, as commercial as it can get in some areas, but also one of the most outstanding spiritual places on the planet, as long as you open yourself to the right energy... so enamored, in fact, that I bought a place there. * Bodhgaya, India, where Buddha was enlightened... meditating on the roof of the Tibetan monestery at 4 AM listening to the chanting from the temple and watching/listening to the egrets in a tree across the park, as the sun slowly illuminated the sky and the awareness of a new day filtered into the local consciousness... (a completely different 4 AM but 4 AM nonetheless...:-) Things I love include: * my kids - they are such a source of joy, and pride, and happiness, and lessons... :-) * hypnotherapy - I trained for and then started New Journeys Hypnotherapy, because I realized that it was exactly what I was meant to do... help others reach their full potential! * fresh zuchini and tomato, lightly stir-fried, and then let it sit w/grated cheese on the top... especially when it's fresh garden (or my own!) veg that I'm cooking! * mountain climbing - not that insane shit where you need to use ropes etc, but the style (scrambling/bouldering) where you use your feet, hands, and head, and still manage to stay (relatively) safe... perhaps it's why I love the mountains so much... * have 55,000+ followers on My Daily Step on(website hidden).. a project I truly enjoy...
