About This Listing
Well, first of all, it's a wine Cellar. It's large and spacious. It does have outside windows near the ceiling. It's fun and cool. And yes it does have several racks of good wines. The memory foam queen bed is very comfortable. It is clean and fresh. You'll love it!
Cool cellar guest room. Large, fun; a bit funky, but hey, its a cellar. You can walk to the beautiful down town. My old home has great vibes and a pleasant open community spirit.
You'll have access to our large home including living room, veranda, and yard spaces.
Interaction with Guests
The guests will determine the amount of interaction with us. We are open and friendly but know how to respect privacy.
Everything. Its close to downtown and we've known our neighbors for 40 years or so Its a fun community.
A bus stop is 1/2 block away, bike trail is 4 blocks away and downtown is a fifteen minute walk or 10min drive.
Other Things to Note
The restrooms are upstairs and are shared with family. I need to mention that we have an American Eskimo dog and a rather large cat. Who live with us. The cat having been banned from the cellar finds it an especially pleasant place to hang out.
Great stay, and an easily recommended option. The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly. Everything was as described. We would stay here again, if we are ever in the area.
Staying a night with Gus and Reianna was a really enjoyable experience! From the beers to welcome us in the evening to a wonderful breakfast and conversation in the morning (complete with fresh eggs from the chickens in the backyard), every aspect of our trip was amazing. Gus and Reianna were extremely gracious hosts, especially for allowing our five-month old puppy to stay with us. The wine cellar itself was pretty large, with more than enough space for both of us and the puppy.
Gus and Raeanna were generous hosts. They were very welcoming and I felt quite at home for my 2 week stay, complete with coffee in the morning and inclusion in several dinner outings, plus great conversation and advice on places to visit in town and on the coast nearby. The room was comfortable and cozy and I was able to stock a few things in the kitchen for breakfast and snacks. Definitely better than staying in a hotel!
The house was charming but we wish it was cleaner. We wish we could have met the actual hosts... we had read great things about them.
Staying with Gus was a real treat! Their home is rich with life and stories. They are so accommodating. We had an odd schedule and different needs than outlined in his AB&B add, yet he was willing to adapt. We hope to go back and spend more time next time to spend time talking over breakfast:) My kids loved his home!!! It has so many cool things to inspire the imagination. It was a great experience! Oh and best espresso ever️ he'll even show you how to make it if u like. Super comfortable vibe. Definitely would stay with them again!!!
Gus and Reanna were amazing hosts!! They made us feel welcome in their very comfy home nestled only a short walk away from the town center of SLO. Right when we walked in the door we were treated to a glass of wine and some amazing tunes on Gus's impressive stereo system. Breakfast was delicious and featured eggs harvested fresh from their backyard. Would definitely come back and visit Gus and Reanna!
We chose to stay with Gus and Reanna based their location, but the true highlight of staying here was them. They were so welcoming! We shared bottles of wine from their collection, we played music together, and we had a great time getting to know them and the other guests. The accommodations were comfortable, the cellar was a perfect temperature (cool but never cold), the bathrooms were large and clean. They were always up for good conversation, but we never lacked for privacy or personal space. I can think of nothing less than glowing to say about staying with them.

About the Host, Gus
I am a retired systems manager. I play bass and guitar in several bands. Our house is fun and open with great vibes. Some call it rustic, like me.
