Guests are left entirely to their own devices although I am nearby should you need or want anything. Note that I do live in this apartment, it is not a sterile "vacation property".
Great great place. Couldn't have been better. Thanks Rachel.
My fiance and I booked Rachel's apartment this past Friday (3/21) while we were in town to attend an event at the nearby Gramercy Theater. We absolutely loved every aspect of our stay here! Gogo was a fantastic companion while we were at the apartment and we were walking distance from the theater, as well as several restaurants and cafes. We drove in from the Philadelphia area and hit traffic, and Rachel was very understanding and helpful in rescheduling our check in time to a little bit later. Her apartment was well appointed and very comfortable. We were able to park our car over night for less than $40 at a nearby automated garage on 24th street near Lexington Ave and had no problem wandering around the neighborhood. We would love to book another stay here when we have a bit more time to enjoy the city, the location is impeccable!
This place is PHENOMENAL! Although the photos are beautiful, they don't do the place justice. It is huge for NY and very clean, modern and comfortable. Rachel has top notch taste and style. We loved everything about the apartment and location - Rachel and Gogo's personal warmth were just an extra added bonus.
We will definitely be back and have in fact recommended her apartment to many friends and will continue to do so.
Thanks so much Rachel!
The apartment is fantastic and the location incredible!!! First the space... So big, so comfortable! The bedroom was like staying in a fancy hotel but for way way less money. The bathroom also felt like a fancy hotel... And unlike every other apartment I have stayed at in NYC-- it has actually GREAT water pressure. This is rare for NYC!! And after long day of walking I needed a great shower. Also worth noting is I don't know if the place has extra thick windows but I never was bothered by loud sounds from outside the way I have been in hotels... The piano is beautiful, and Gogo the cat was the perfect welcome home I needed. He was very friendly and just wanted to hang out with me.
As to the location, I was so central to everything, but not trapped in toursity area where it takes forever to walk in and out of neighborhood. I stayed in Times Square once and never again... Just a mob of people all from out of town... Here I felt like I was a real New Yorker. But because I was so central, walking was easy to anywhere I wanted to go... But subways so close and taxis everywhere i f i wanted them.
Also Rachel was great... Responded right away when I needed to adjust my reservation... And she had a GREAT theatre and restaurant suggestion!!
I guess I just can't say enough good about this place! LOVED!
Fantastic stay in Rachels apartment - perfectly located for everywhere and not far from the subway at all! The congenial host.....
Rachel was a wonderful host, friendly, helpful and generous. Her apartment is fantastic, extremely stylish and convenient located. We liked the decor very much. The Sohmer Grand Piano and Gogo the cute little cat made it special. It was nice to play piano, when Gogo was sitting next. We enjoyed our stay so much and felt really at home. Great!!!
Beautiful apartment, great location, pretty quiet at night despite being on Park Avenue, lovely decor, and a very comfy bed.
And Rachel was a very gracious and accommodating host.
Gorgeous apartment in one of the best and most central neighborhoods in NYC. Close to transport, great restaurants, Eataly, Madison Square Park and more. Rachel was the perfect host. Can't wait to go back!!
Rachel's apartment was the prefect place, and the little Abyssinian cat made me feel right at home. The location is steps away from all transportation, shopping and fabulous restaurants! The modern little kitchen allowed for a quick breakfast before heading out for the day. Rachel was so good about my train being late and having to make special arrangements for me to get the key. The ammenties - king size bed with beautiful linen sheets, the rainwater shower, wifi, and the fact that the place was quiet and bright, made my stay at Rachel's one I will certainly want to repeat.
My second stay here, and as expected, everything was perfect. Couldn't ask for a better apartment, or a better host. Looking forward to the next time.
