You will be within a few blocks of many of Austin's best restaurants, cafes, film, theatre, music venues, and the crown jewel parks of Austin: Town Lake Hike and Bike Trail, Zilker Park and Barton Springs Pool.

Perfectly located for both the ACL Music Festival and SXSW. The neighborhood is hip, funky, friendly, and classic Austin.
SLEEPS 2 +
The 10' x 20' room has a queen size bed (sleeps 2) + a very large L-shaped couch, where another person or 2 kids can stay in a pinch. There is wireless internet, a small refrigerator, coffee and tea makers, microwave, and outdoor bbq.
You have your own patio and garden, for relaxing. There is also an outdoor ping-pong table, under a grove of pear trees.
We are a small family, living in the front house, and are great fans of vacationing in Austin! We can provide maps, excellent tips for music, feasting, biking, swimming, and generally enjoying Austin.
TO GET AROUND
You can access Austin's public bus system, use a car2go, Uber, walk or rent bikes (our preference) ! Bike rental is a few blocks away.
Austin also has a city-wide bike system: Austin B-cycle.

Margo and Gregory were extremely polite and helpful. Really nice neighborhood (very walkable) near Barton Springs and the Barton Springs trail with easy access to the rest of the city.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The detached apartment is in a lovely neighborhood and it's a great location with easy access to the places we like in south Austin and downtown Austin. The space was comfortable, cozy, and quiet. It's kept very nicely and we appreciated the thoughtful snacks that were provided (coffee, chips, chocolate, etc). It's a real nice place to stay.
This is a great room in a great location. It is only a short walk to s Lamar where there are frequent bus rides into the city.
The room has everything you need and is a great place to relax on the sofa or work at the bench with wifi to get all your gear online
Had a brilliant week here and would definitely use again
We loved our stay in Austin! The weather was not as great as I wished for, but having such a lovely place to stay in such a fun city made it all worth while. Margo and Gregory were fantastic hosts. Their space was prefect for our quick Austin Adventure. They had great information and were easy to connect with. If you choose to stay here you will be glad for sure.
We loved this cozy space, perfectly located in Austin's Zilker neighborhood. Walking distance to downtown (20-30 minutes), but far enough away from the hullabaloo to offer a quiet night's sleep or serene break sitting in the lovely yard. Fantastic on-foot access to funky restaurants (the 1st street or Congress corridors highly recommended, as are the great little eateries and food trucks along Barton Springs Road), coffee shops, the Umlauf sculpture garden, riverfront bike/ walking path, and famous Peter Pan mini golf course.
The space had everything you need (including a very comfortable bed and nice bath/shower with great water pressure and ample hot water) and nothing you didn't. Margo was an exceptional host: Responsive but never intrusive, and clearly someone who cares about her guests' experience (she left us lovely chocolate and chips, plus a binder with maps and other detailed info; she was always quick to answer questions during our stay).
Added bonus: midcentury architecture buffs will appreciate the loving restoration of unique ranch houses in the area. As new construction surges in Austin, it's nice to see efforts to preserve this housing aesthetic.
This was a great little nook in a safe neighborhood, and we'd stay again in a heartbeat. Thanks to Margo and her family for a lovely stay!
These guys have the perfect set up for Airbnb. My father and I stayed with Margo and her family while biking in Austin and we couldn't have found a better place. We had our very own space and we were within walking distance to everything we wanted to see in town. Margo and her husband were great hosts in all aspects, but we especially enjoyed the custom map of recommendations that they put together for us. We had a great stay and would recommend this place to anyone looking to visit Austin.
Margo and her husband made us feel comfortable. Great location. We appreciated the snacks left in the room. I loved the backyard set up, I only wish the weather would have been nicer so we could've enjoyed what was outside. Thanks again!
We are from Austin, TX and both my husband and I teach at the University of Texas. He is also an architect and I have a strategy firm that works on social impact issues. We especially enjoy being able to walk and bike to many of central Austin's parks, restaurants and music venues.
