You will be happy to return to the apartment every evening after a day of sightseeing or attending a conference. Making yourself breakfast or having the ability to pack a lunch! Take advantage of Reading Terminal Market to make dinner even!
This apartment is on the second floor. There is a stoop on the street that is about 5 steps and then about 15-20 steps to the 2nd floor. THERE IS NO ELEVATOR. If you arrive between 9-5 m-f someone from the office can help you with luggage.
Most adorable studio apartment in Philadelphia. A great studio on one of the most prestigious blocks of Philadelphia. One block from Rittenhouse Square. This is the safest and nicest neighborhood in Philadelphia. Close to everything! Apartment has a small kitchenette with full size fridge, gas range/oven, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. The building is very secure! A block from Rittenhouse Square and close to everything! 10-15 minutes from 30th street amtrak station by taxi. A bus runs right from the corner of locust to the historic areas in old city and to the convention center! Lots of nearby amenities like 7-eleven, a great produce market ( maxx's), and excellent beer store ( food and friends), and several restaurants minutes from your doorstep! Parking is very difficult in Philadelphia. This is a city after all. There is free parking on the street from 8pm-8am, but after that it is only free for two hours during the day and they will ticket you immediately. The TV show parking wars was based filmed in Philadelphia for this reason. Parking garages are plentiful and nearby and range anywhere from 20-50 a day. You do NOT need a car to experience Philadelphia. Live like a local and leave the car at home!
The entire apartment. This is a private apartment you will not be sharing the bathroom or kitchen. There is laundry in the building next door, but it is coin-operated and you must provide your own soap.
Interaction with Guests
I have three other listings, so you might not get to meet me. I will contact you a few days prior with info on how to get in. I am always reachable by email, text, or phone. Try email or text first as I cannot always talk on the phone.
That it is so close to Rittenhouse Square and lovely every day of the year!
YES! At the corner there are two buses and the subway is also a few blocks away!
Other Things to Note
If you move furniture please put it back before your depart!
Turn off a/c when you leave for the day. Unit is very efficient and will cool off apt as soon as you return! Please be mindful of others in the building and philadelphia noise ordinances. If you open any windows please make sure to close and lock them.
Place all trash in the trashcan upon departure. If you need to there are extra trash bags in the glass cabinet on the bottom. If there is more than one trash bag, please dispose of trash in the dumpster directly behind the building. Unfortunately due to commercial zoning, the building does not recycle, but you can recycle using the black trash can on the corner that recycles glass, plastic and paper.
Wash all dishes/glasses that you have used , extra dish soap under counter, and place in dish drain.
Great space to stay! Great part of town, close to amazing food! Very cozy and private studio.
I came to Philadelphia from Japan but I needed to change my schedule twice. Although Andrea was so helpful to me and always thought about my situation.
So, I must say the host is wonderful as well as the great location and nice & cozy apartment.
Andrea is an amazing host with lovely airbnb spaces. I'm a repeat airbnber of hers time and time again and highly recommend her and her rentals anytime to all of you and your loved ones. There's a good reason why her listings are booked up in advance. Come experience Philadelphia at home for a bit in her spaces. I love this studio and the location is fantastic.
Adorable little studio, very comfortable and cozy, and walking distance to everything in city center. Check-in and out was effortless, and Andrea was proactive and communicative. Couldn't have asked for a better place for a couple to stay.
We had a very nice time in Philly staying at this apartment. Ultimately it was just fine and a good base for us. Excellent location. It was neat and had a well stocked kitchen. However there were a couple of things I would like to have changed- I felt like the bathroom needed a good scrub (rather than just a wipe which it seems to have been getting). Trash from previous guest was still in both trash cans (gross). And TV had very few channels. Good wifi. My husband's complaint is that the fitted sheet was not well fitted and kept coming off while we were sleeping. Overall a great value in great location.
I'm sorry about the trash. I wish you would have let me know about the sheets as there were other sheets under the chaise you could have swapped them out with. As well as the bathroom. It could have been re-cleaned, but thanks for letting me know and I will discuss this with my housecleaner!
We stayed 2 nights in this nice place. Everything was good organized and the appartment was clean and very well equipped. It is withing walking distance to a lot of sightseeing sides and I would recommend Andreas place to stay:)

I've lived in Tokyo, DC and the Pine barrens. I have traveled all over. My favorites are Nashville, Hong Kong, Mexico City, Toronto, and Maine.
I have lived in Philadelphia since 2002. I grew up visiting Philly as well. So, I know all the touristy stuff along with the cool stuff. I know the best places to eat in Philly. I know the places to miss as well! I'm a prolific yelper...
